Being at Henna Con is always a wonderful place and a soul fulfilling time for me. Friday I had a pretty massive migraine and sinus issues but was able to start hennaing in the evening. I got to meet some absolutely LOVELY women and spend time with them talking about henna, florals, and how their experience so far was going. I am so happy I got to meet them and spend time with them during our first night and that they got to be some of my first henna for the weekend! I don’t know that I’ve ever wanted to put a design on someone more then what I want to today. Even though there may be things I would change if I could do it again I’m really happy with my owl and the texture and the shading that I achieved using henna. I also figured out....the hard way....that when you do something over a foot tall, it’s much easier to have it upright while drawing instead of on the table. I absolutely LOVE IT when I’m brought things that customers themselves have drawn and asked to replicate them on their skin. It’s so much more personal and meaningful when it’s your own work.
