Bonee gave a quiet hum. It was pleasant, in a way, and he found himself extending it to play a little tune in the back of his throat. The blonde man folded his arms behind his back, gripping his pale wrists in his own hands as if to cuff himself.
A moment later he was materializing on Earth, glancing around with dark eyes to find he was alone. Except... for someone up ahead. Bonee approached with quick strides, eager to see who else was here. It didn't take long to reach the stranger, and once he was close enough he gave a curt nod of his head.
"Good evening." He greeted, the hum dying to allow him to speak. "And what brings you all the way out here?"

"I'm used to seeing things that... normal people don't take into account." He said smugly. "A kitsune, though? You're the first of your kind that I've ever met. My name is Pain - and you are...?" He trailed off, waiting to hear her answer.
Pain blinks at the sight of⌠well, ears on her head. And going by the fact they just flinched, heâd say they were really attached instead of just accessories. He set his books down on the table and slid gracefully into the chair, choosing to keep his eyes on her instead of grabbing one of the tomes to his side. âIâve never seen anyone like you before.â He states bluntly. âWhy are there animal ears on your head?â

Pain blinks at the sight of... well, ears on her head. And going by the fact they just flinched, he'd say they were really attached instead of just accessories. He set his books down on the table and slid gracefully into the chair, choosing to keep his eyes on her instead of grabbing one of the tomes to his side. "I've never seen anyone like you before." He states bluntly. "Why are there animal ears on your head?"
Looking up from what looks like a very old text, she nods. âSure.â Mayaâs eyes narrow as she studies the gentleman in front of her. Her ears twitch slightly as she notices something is different about this person.

âI swear to god, if I have to spend another second with the others, Iâm going to shoot myself.â The man mumbled to himself, dead-serious about that shooting thing. âŚNo pun intended. It wasnât like it would do any damage, anyway. Whatever would break would only be repaired. Thatâs what happened when a favorite toy was broken, right? Someone came along to fix it.
Pain - as was the manâs title - left the gray world of Death Organization to find a library up on Earth. Books held the only sort of people he found enjoyable, so there were many times he retreated to all sorts of libraries around the world. The one he was in now appeared to be fairly quiet, so Pain wasted no time in grabbing an armful of books and moving towards the nearest seat to sit and start reading for the next few hours. It seemed all the seats were taken, so a table it had to be. The nearest was occupied, as it turned out, save for one seat across from a stranger.
âExcuse me,â Pain approached, extending a hand towards the empty chair. âDo you mind if I sit here?â

"I beg to differ." Horror watches as she walks off, extending an arm up to his side. A small bit of skin seems to sink into itself, creating a black hole right in his arm. Through said hole a thin creature crawls out, immediately starting to whine and shriek as the hole in the Demon Soul's arm closes.

"I don't want to plaaaaaaaaaay!" It cries, crawling to hang off of Horror's shoulders, as if hiding. Whatever it had been doing before, it clearly wanted to get back to.
Cookie laughs. "Right. Your this great and powerful thing. Your 17, just like me. I doubt that either of us that that kind of power." Laughing, she turns to walk off.

...That 'great evil' would probably be Hate. According to Cerberus, she'd once tried to leave Death Organization to destroy this entire dimension, but had been cast back down to Abyss and built the city. Since then, she'd never left her throne. "Hells yea, I'm a Demon Soul. O' course I've got powers." He nods like this was obvious.
Cookie looks up to him. "According to myth, Demon Souls came to save the world from some great evil. They were worshiped as gods. Only until higher "beings" came to power. Just myth, legends. Wait... Are you really a Demon Soul? You dont look much different from a human? Do you have powers?" She smiles, trying to catch him in a lie.

Horror listened as she explained, and... well, he'd seen weirder, right? He began to shake his head as she asked if she sounded crazy, but when she continued he paused. A grin began to slowly spread on his lips. "Legend? We're legends?" Hey, if people knew about him, he wanted to know. ...Even if that was a really bad thing, as they were supposed to be secret. Like spies. "What sort of legends are there about us?"
Following beside him, she stares. Rubbing her arm as he lets go and listens to him talk. "Horror. I swear. I dont understand... What are you talking ab-" She never finishes her sentence.
Cookie looks away and signs. "Great... I didnt think I was crazy before... I guess I really am. Multiple personallity syndrom. Thats what I was told. But someone came to me... A couple years ago. Told me that someone was living inside me. Like I had a second soul. He told me that this soul was an angel who needed to be born again and that I had all the memories. She comes out when phrases are triggered or I am in danger. But when she does, I just think I blacked out and I dont remember anything."
She pauses and looks up to Horror. "I sound crazy dont I? Wait..." She realizes. "You said you were actually a Demon Soul? The kind of legend?"

The fact that Edvin apparently liked it as well had Fear's smile growing a little wider. ...As well as that hand on his arm. It wasn't often that touched Fear - more of always Fear reaching out to feel Edvin - so the fact that he'd left his usual comfort zone to place a hand on the Demon Soul...
He gave a quick caress with his thumb across the other man's cheek before slowly letting his arm slide back. ...But he let his fingers stop when they began to pass along the bend of his neck, where his shoulder began. He didn't yet want to remove his hand, because he feared that would end the... moment? Destruction would laugh at him for thinking that, and Fear even released a small laugh at himself for such thoughts.
"I'm glad I know you." His smile broke into a grin. Since meeting Edvin, Fear had become much more happy with having been around this long. Out of all the things he'd done, and all the people he'd met, he wanted to make Edvin his reason for being around - he was the one who Fear enjoyed talking to the most, the one Fear enjoyed making smile, and the one who accepted Fear despite everything wrong with him. Edvin may not reside in Heaven and have any holy powers, but to Fear he was an angel.
Edvin gave a slight nod to show his agreement, becauseâŚwell, it was good. It hadnât made him uncomfortable, it hadnât made either of them uncomfortable, and it seemed like theyâd both enjoyed it. That was definitely good. âŚAnd it was still good when he noticed Fear leaning back in, and it was moments before he felt the soft, cool press of the lips against his own once more. It wasâŚstill a bit of a surprise, but less of one this time, and his small smile held as his own eyes closed again, as he began to respond again, much more quickly this time.
At one point in the kiss, Edvin had brought his hand around, the one farthest from the other man, slipped the quarter that it was still holding onto into his pocket, and then slowly, gently, heâd placed that hand against Fearâs arm. He wasnât one much for contact and touching, he never had been, but with Fear, it was different. He justâŚfelt comfortable and good around the guy, in a way that he didnât even mind if they touched, and he even liked it the majority of the time. Thus, even as the kiss was broken again and the other man was moving back, Edvin still kept his hand lightly against his arm as he slowly opened his eyes once more.
ââŚI do, too.â He admitted, smiling a little wider in response to Fearâs words. It was justâŚit was nice, kissing Fear, being near him, just talking to him⌠Heâd never been so close to someone before, and it was all entirely new, but in such a good way⌠And it seemed they both liked to kiss, which wasâŚstill unexpected, and Edvin didnât really know where to go with it from there, but he also couldnât wipe the smile from his face which didnât leave him thinking that was too big a deal.

"You just went all freaky and your eyes turned green and you told me--you told me about myself but it was like it was automated or something and I don't know how you did it--" Horror stands at the same time as Cookie, and now tugs her (gently) out of the bakery. He ducks around the side of the building, standing in a dark alley and staring across at her. "I'm Horror, a Demon Soul. I work for Lady Hate - I'm one of her weapons in the Army of Nine. ...And you just told me that. So how d'you know it, huh?"

Cookie not remembering herself what just happened, she gives him the 'your crazy' look. "Uh... What are you talking about?" She stands slowly. "I only just met you. Your kinda creeping me out."

Horror blanks as Cookie seems to... change right in front of him. Then she spurts out information of his, and his eye twitches. He kneels when she falls and grabs her by the elbows when she speaks again.
"How the hell do you know me." His eyes narrow, wondering if maybe she was another face he'd forgotten thanks to his insanity.
Cookie smiles and laughs. âWell then its nice to meet you Horror.â But then a memory is triggered from her past. She grips her head and doubles over from the pain. She flips her head up to look at him, her eyes emerald like the Angel Cookie. âHorror the Demon Soul. Works for Lady Hate. One of the Army of Nine.â
Immediately after she collapses onto the ground, her eyes turning back to normal. She sits up and looks to Horror. âI blacked out didnt I?â She laughs and tries to stand, not knowing that the past Cookie came out. âSorry. I tend to do that alot. No need to worry.â

Fear was glad to hear he hadn't made Edvin uncomfortable. "Really? That's... good." He smiled softly, but still stayed as close as he was. For a second he thought about leaning in for a second kiss, but wondered if that would be okay. But... Edvin had said it was okay, right? Right. So with that, Fear inched closer once more to again press his lips to the other man's, eyes shutting as he did so.
This kiss lasted a bit longer than their first, and while Fear had no need of air, he knew that Edvin did, and moved back to let him take some. "I like that." He smiled pleasantly, hoping that his confession wasn't something that would have his friend running for the hills.

Honestly, it was a bit of a disappointment when he felt the lips pulling off his own a few minutes later. The whole thing had justâŚbeen really nice, and he hadnât really wanted it to end. Still, Edvin didnât do anything to stop Fear moving away, instead drawing in a slow breath through still-parted lips and allowing his eyes to blink back open. The first thing he saw was Fear staring back over at him, and in the silence that hung around them for several moments after, he simply continued to gaze across at the other manâs face, at a loss for what exactly to say or do in response toâŚwell, a kiss. Especially one that heâd actually enjoyed.
Then, as Fear blushed and started to stumble over his words, Edvin bit his lip and just watched and listened quietly, trying to stop the smile he felt threatening from spreading. He wasâŚrelaxed. He feltâŚgood. About all of this. His body language showed this, as he wasnât sitting stiffly, he wasnât tense, and at one point in the kiss, his wings had even relaxed, lowered, and half-folded back up. No, heâŚdidnât have a problem with it at all.
âItâs okay,â he shook his head just a little, eyes remaining on Fearâs face. It was a little awkward, maybe, just becauseâŚwell, they were friends and theyâd both just kissed, and heâd not been expecting it, and oh yes, heâd never actually had a kiss before this, butâŚsomehow it was awkward in a good way. His own cheeks were still warm and pink, and maybe he fidgeted just a little where he sat, but it wasnât long before a soft smile had forced its way through and spread across Edvinâs lips. He couldnât really stop it, he was justâŚstrangely happy in a way heâd not been anticipating. âYouâUh, you didnât make me uncomfortable.â

"Yea, yea - it's no problem." He smiles.

"I'm Horror. It's nice t'meet you, Cookie."
âHey, wait - how âbout you let me buy you a treat for helpinâ me out?â Horror offered, flashing a wide grin. âAt least tell me your name before you go.â

When at first Edvin didn't respond, Fear thought to pull back and apologize over and over. It seemed he wouldn't have to, though, as soon there was the soft feel of lips moving against his own.
So the Demon Soul stayed close, allowing their lips to shift around each other. Edvin was warm, as always, and Fear found himself enjoying that just as much as everything else. It was nice to feel someone's body heat from so close.
Fear moved back after a few minutes, letting his eyes open slowly. He peered across to Edvin's face, staying quiet for another moment. For a second he thought to apologize, then realized there really wasn't anything he was sorry for. Oh, except for touching him a little more than he'd planned.
Red flushed across Fear's face as he blushed. "Oh--I'm--" He stammered, trying to figure out what to say - but his lips sort of felt too numb and tingly to really want to work well. "I didn't mean to--I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable," he finally forced out.
Edvin watched quietly as Fear turned to face him, his expression becoming one which showed his puzzlement at why the guy had to face him like this in order to touch him. He wanted to question it, but before he could, there was a hand coming toward him, and not quiet in a manner it had before; this time instead of going down toward his hand or his arm, it wentâŚup to his face. It was a bit startling, but Edvin didnât move, instead watched the hand until he could no longer see it and rather felt it along his jaw, at which point his eyes flitted back over to his friends face. He was being watched rather intently, and all he could do was stare back as he felt a warmth begin to creep across his freckled cheeks, despite the fact that Fearâs hand was rather cool in temperature where it sat against his face.
This was very unexpected. Sure, he never really knew what Fear would want to do with his touch when he asked, but he always expected it to be something simple and friendly. This wasâŚvery affectionate, and even became more of a caress as Edvin felt the thumb brush along his cheek, and it was all justâŚa little bewildering. Though, he didnât actually have anything against it, he realized as he simply continued to stare across into Fearâs face. He made no move to pull away, nor did he attempt to swat the hand away, justâŚwell, it was a little awkward to be touched in this way, butâŚit wasâŚkind of nice, at the same time.
Turned out that wasnât even the biggest shock heâd be getting tonight though, as suddenly his friendâs face was growing closer to his own. There was a sharp intake of breath as he felt something press against his lips, and even in that moment he knew it was Fearâs mouth, but it was justâŚthe complete opposite of what heâd been expecting. A kiss? Heâd definitely not forseen a kiss. Eyes widened, and his wings rose a little ways, spreading wide as though he was completely spooked, but after a few seconds, thoughts running wild in his mind, he realizedâŚhe didnât actually have anything against this, either. His reaction was pure shock, not remotely displeasure, and with that in mind, he slowly came back to his senses, blinked a few more times, but at one point just left his eyes closed, and his lips began to respond almost on instinct, pressing back against Fearâs, now finding, as he focused on the cool press of the other manâs mouth, that his stomach was flipping excitedly rather than nervously.

This time, Fear's touch was more bold than it had been before. He adjusted himself to sit facing Edvin, and once he was comfortable he raised his hand to gently place his palm against the other man's cheek. His fingers were pale against the already-pale skin of Edvin's jaw, and he watched as they moved forward a little to curl around his neck, his fingertips brushing against the hair at the nape of Edvin's neck.
The Demon Soul continued to study his friend's face, checking for any slight sign of discomfort, and prepared to pull away immediately if he found any. Slowly his thumb brushed against Edvin's face, the pad of his finger rubbing past the corner of his mouth. ...In that moment, Fear had the insane urge to see if the winged man tasted as unique as he appeared.
That would be okay, right? It was just another touch, after all. ...Color flooded Fear's cheeks, though, because it was a touch that showed affection. But thinking about it, Fear wanted to show Edvin all sorts of affection. After all, he'd gotten some from the guy - not in a romantic way, exactly, but in the way that he'd taken his time to just show things to Fear - things that he'd kept hidden from other people.
By the time that thought came into his mind, Fear was leaning forward, slowly closing the space between them. He paused every few moments, waiting to be pushed away - but it didn't come, and soon his eyes were closing over as he softly covered Edvin's mouth with his own.
The question was a surprise. It was one that Fear asked periodically, just here or there, but it always still managed to surprise him. Edvin blinked at him quietly for a long moment, never really sure why the other man was interested in occasionally touching him, butâŚmost of the time, at least since heâd gotten very comfortable around Fear, he didnât mind at all. It was a touch that he didnât mindâone of the fewâbut he appreciated it a ridiculous amount that Fear was always sure to ask to make sure he was okay with it, instead of just going for it.
âUhm. Yeah, IââŚYeah.â He answered, giving a small nod to further the indication that he was okay with it all. All the previous times had mostly been very simple, a touch of his arm, or their hands, and sometimes his wings, thus he didnât really expect this time to be much different, butâŚhe was okay with that. Even the smallest, softest touches had been surprisingly nice.

Fear made a quiet noise in the back of his throat - a thoughtful noise it was. He lowered his arms and sat up slowly, looking over at Edvin and slowly studying his face. ...He decided then and there he'd like the chance to touch it - to feel the other man's warm skin beneath his fingertips. But Fear never did anything to Edvin without permission, so that had him speaking up a moment later;
"Can I touch you?"
Edvin met the glance that was cast his way, though he made no move to speak until Fear was finished, not wanting to interrupt. However, as he found himself watching the other man stretch out the way he did, he still didnât answer right away, finding instead that he was smiling much more widely at the sight of his friend soâŚrelaxed. Biting his lip a little, Edvin slowly tore his gaze off of Fear after a few moments, and instead peered out over the trees of the small woods that were lain out before them.
âI donât get a lot of chances to come up here often, no.â He answered finally with a little shrug. It was unfortunate, because he really would like to sit out like this more than he ever got the chance to, but⌠âTechnically Iâm not allowed to be up here. The few times Iâve been noticed by the landlord, Iâve been shooed down.â Snorting at that, Edvin slowly spread his wing back out the way it had been before, though this time behind Fear. It sat close, but didnât actually touch the other man, and in part to make sure this didnât make him uncomfortable, Edvin peered back over, grey eyes resting on his friends face where they just watched him quietly. âBut I do like to when I get the chance.â

Fear was pleased to be approved, and soon he was settling down beside his friend. He looked ahead, bringing his knees up to his chest and folding his arms on top of them. "Do you come up here often?" He questioned, taking a moment before actually directing his gaze to the other man. "It's... nice up here. I can see why you would like it."
Fear leaned back at that, extending his legs and raising his arms up towards the sky with a growing smile on his face. He reached upwards, feeling like he could actually catch the clouds if he tried. That was how he tended to feel around the other man - like he was so high he could touch what was beyond the atmosphere. He felt free and special and like he actually had a place he belonged. And he did. It was right at his friend's side.
Hearing the sound that alerted him to anotherâs presence, Edvin gave a light start and quickly twisted himself around to see just who on earth could have possibly found their way up here with him, only to come to a surprised pause as he recognized Fear. He blinked for a moment, just staring at the other man as he spoke before going on to give a small nod. He was still startled by the sudden appearanceâhe likely would be every time Fear showed up like thisâbut he certainly wasnât opposed to the company of someone he actually felt comfortable around.
âYeah, okay.â He agreed, pulling one of his wings back in to fold against his back in order to give Fear room to seat himself. A smile spread itself across his lips and he nodded again, casually closing his hand over the coin it was holding while the other hand gestured to the now free space next to him. âI wasnât expecting you to show up.â He noted, though it wasnât at all in annoyance, moreâŚthat he was just pleased to have his friend drop in, instead.
