It's Autumn, which means if I make a Big Pot of Soup it will Fix Everything. No one fact check me on this. We need to let the soup speak for itself.

I see many stories of neurodivergent boys who don't understand boundaries and consent. If you're one of them, this is for you.
When you look back on your childhood, you likely remember many times when your consent was considered irrelevant.
You were required to give and receive hugs and kisses.
Wanting to be left alone was considered rude.
You had to prioritize politeness over setting boundaries. If you got mad because someone continued to do something after you said it bothered you, you were considered the disrespectful one. You were considered to be "acting up" as if your lashing out was completely unprovoked.
You were required to stay in environments with uncomfortable sounds, uncomfortable smells, or too many people in a small space. Even when it would have been easy to allow you to leave or to accommodate you, people refused.
You were required to eat foods you didn't like.
Conforming to tradition mattered more than your comfort.
You were required to dress according to your parents' image of you instead of your own desires.
You were required to take part in activities that you have no interest in because your parents wanted to live out their dreams through you.
If you did something once, it was considered "evidence that you can" and you were expected to do it regularly.
When you said that something bothered you, people continued doing it in order to laugh at your reaction.
You were expected to tolerate things that made you uncomfortable because they "didn't mean anything bad by it".
You were required to "get along" with people on command.
You were expected to be grateful for every time when someone interacted with you because people who complain about being lonely or being disliked are expected to never say no.
Saying "no" was considered a punishable offense.
"As long as you live under my roof, you have no right to privacy or personal space."
You were expected to not only obey but also look happy about it.
You were grabbed in order to force you to stay still.
You were spanked.
Then, after being raised to believe that what you want doesn't matter and that suggesting otherwise is disrespectful, you're suddenly expected to see consent as sacrosanct in your interactions with women. After being raised to believe that your comfort means less than nothing, you're expected to care about other people's comfort.
It's very easy to feel like you're being expected to give women special treatment. You were raised to believe that many things are wrong when you do it but okay when it's done to you.
But this isn't one of those times. Consent should have been sacrosanct for you also. Your comfort should have mattered also. You ignoring a woman's discomfort because you feel entitled to an interaction with her is creepy and gross. The times when people ignored your discomfort because they felt entitled to an interaction with you were also creepy and gross. They should have been setting a good example for you. They should have been teaching you the importance of boundaries. They failed.
But you have to be better than them. You have to treat people how you want to be treated, not how you are treated. When women's boundaries are ignored, you should see them as your allies. What was done to you is in many ways similar to what's done to them. They're seen as less than human just like you are. You can't heal from your pain by causing the same pain to others.

Lucky Day
by Chuck Tingle
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤️‍🔥
Man from the first chapter this book absolutely gripped me. Something about the way that Chuck Tingle writes absolutely tingles my brain. I did not want to put it down.
Love the commentary about bi-erasure. Loved the chaos. As he said in his tour "Why not try?".
Having seen Chuck Tingle live and read 2 of his horror novels now, I feel a very strong kinship with him. I also feel like life is a soup and that love is the answer.
Idk man he just gets it. Read the book you won't be disappointed. Excited to read some Tinglers and his other horror books.

Alright y'all, as promised, here it is:
Recipe of Nothing Soup
aka potion of involuntary naptime
Tumblr media
Today we are starting with three onions, six large potatoes, four big carrots, a slice from a small cabbage, two packets of chicken noodles, 150 grams of pre-cooked shredded chicken (optional), three cupped handfuls of rice (exact measures unclear, my boyfriend measures with his heart), and oregano, pepper, salt and bouillon cubes to taste.
Tumblr media
Chop vegetables as illustrated. Find your biggest pot, fill it with water, and put it on a heat source (stovetop, open fire, idk how you live your life. do not microwave though, I will kill you). Put all ingredients save for noodles into the pot as the water heats to a gentle boil. Add the spices and stock cubes as you see fit. Let the soup boil for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once 10 minutes are up (15 if the root vegetables are still tough instead of well-boiled), crush up the noodles and sprinkle them into the pot. Let cook for 5 more minutes.

Enjoy, and consume responsibly: Potion of Eepy.

Someone should publish a pronunciation guide for bookish children with words like boatswain, victuals, epitome and so forth. It could probably just be a slim pamphlet, but it would save a lot of nerds a lot of embarrassment down the line.

Y'know, I've heard of gamer girls, but I've never heard of a "gamer guy." I wonder why not. Maybe it's because guys don't play videogames as much as girls do. I mean basically all girls are gamers.

Saw this woman with extremely powerful energy in the grocery store strip mall. I was not quite able to capture her IDGAF aura, but it nearly flattened me.
