Inari smiled and sat up with him. As she sat there with him for a little while she couldn't help but feel a strange happiness. For once, she wasn't feeling like she was completely alone. In general, Inari was a happy girl. Being an orphan is hard, not having anyone to consider your family was even harder. 

Having Whit. Even if they had not become a couple, but just having him as a friend. Would have made all the difference in her world. 

Biting the inside of her cheek she looked over to him. "I don't have a single clue about any of this. I don't think actual relationships are like romantic comedies either." She noted carefully. "One step at a time then.. hm?" Tilting her head in his direction she began to stand up and head for the sliding door that led out to a small balcony. "I think.. it stopped raining. Did you still want to go out? If not.. I can make coffee here."

As he picked them off her face and put them back onto his own she smiled. "Only by ten percent?" 

Inari shrugged. "With or without them.. I think you look cute all the time." this was nice. After their confession, and even their first kiss together. Inari was starting to feel more comfortable. Sure her heart beat could be heard in her ears and she felt as light as a feather. In a whole, they were making good progress. 

It was important for them to feel comfortable around each other.

"Hey Whit.. Are we like.. a couple now?"

Smiling as he placed his glasses onto his face, she couldn't help but find him over the top cute. "I don't see anything wrong with you being a dork." Rolling onto hers stomach she rested her chin in her palms. Inari couldn't keep her eyes off him. 

"Contacts? Wouldn't those be painful? Wearing them in your eyes all of the time?" Giggling she took her free hand and plucked his glasses right off his face. As she placed them on the bridge of her own nose she smiled. "Glasses are incredibly stylish if you ask me." 

Turning her head to the side she smiled playfully. "How do they look?"

Tilting her head to the side a bit, she was wondering what he was talking about. It wasn't only a second before the space between them closed. Whit had gently kissed her forehead.. and then the tip of her nose. Feeling he face scrunch up as his lips graced her nose. 

His breath against her lips she felt herself going red hot again. 

As he began to talk, she could feel each moment of his lips as they formed one of the sweetest compliments she had ever heard. Of all things.. a button nose. Inari watched as he rolled onto his side. 

Covering her own face she laid there next to him. From behind her hands she felt herself grinning like crazy. "You.. should wear your glasses more. I like them, especially when they're on you."

Inari let out a sigh and he walked towards her living room. This was so real, they had actually kissed.. right there in the hallway. Gathering all of her thoughts she followed behind him quickly. 

He decided to sit at the kotatsu in the center of her living room, which was actually her favorite place to be when she wasn't in the rain outside. Whit's long legs didn't exactly fit so he just decided to lay down. As she followed to sit next to him, she snatched two pillows off the couch before settling in herself.

Handing one over to him she smiled. "For your head." Inari placed her own pillow onto the floor and placed her head on it carefully. "What do I want to do?"

"I don't know, do you have anything in mind?" Turning onto her side to face him she felt.. comfortable. The kotatsu was warm, but it was probably the face that she was still feeling all fluttery inside.

Inari felt herself nestling into his hands as their lips touched together. And there went her first kiss. Not that she minded, in fact she couldn't be happier. 

Whoa so this was a kiss? It was incredibly gentle, and hot damn it was also really awesome. It was making her legs weak and her head feel fuzzy. Inari brought up one of her hands and placed it against his. Whit took a moment to pull away and confess that it was also his first kiss. 

Pulling her lower lip into her teeth she held back her own smile. "I wouldn't know either.. That was my first kiss too." Hey if it came down to it, they didn't even need to leave. They could just stick around and do that a little more.

There was no where her to go when he leaned down to her level. His hands gently held her cheeks and this was going to be a problem for her. Inari let out a small squeak of shock at his question. It was so simple, yet it began to make her feel like her heart would explode.

Chewing on the inside of her cheek she didn't know what to say. "N-No.. It wouldn't be." Oh yeah, what a day to give away your first kiss.

Nodding awkwardly she let him leave the room first. Inari took a second to fold the blanket that she had allowed him to use before leaving. Not knowing he was standing right outside of the door she opened it and stepped outside. Her face was still in the room as she made sure everything was in place before turning off the light and closing the door.

Just as she closed it, he turned around. And they were only a few inches apart. Surprised crossed her face, this was probably the closest their bodies have been together since they had first met. He was so close she was sure he could heart her heart racing. 

"Well.. uh.. we."  Stammering out what could hardly be considered a sentence she sighed. "We can go back out.. or stay indoors. It might be drizzling outside still."

Inari just stayed there. Her face covered by her dainty hands. Though she couldn't see she knew exactly what was going on back there. The sounds were very easy to make out. Whit had shaken out his shirt to prevent wrinkles. That was something she could get behind. 

Her red face didn't know when to quit. Of course it was in a persons nature to want to look right? but, she didn't. They totally weren't at that step in the slightest right? Like were they even fully established as a thing? Yeah they confessed to each other, but THAT ohoho. That was just too much for her to think of right now. 

Whit spoke up and it caused her to jump, as she pushed away all thoughts she deemed it was okay for her to turn around. 

"Oh.. I can take care of those." Standing up, she dusted herself off. Inari started the washer and put in the perfect amount of soap for just the towel. The blanket was in no rush to be washed. Besides, it needed to be washed alone. As she reached for the lid of the washer she let out a small sigh. Her stool. It wasn't anywhere in sight. 

Her tiny hands couldn't reach the lid completely, she was grasping at mostly air. Settling her feet back down onto the ground she hung her head. He was standing, right next to her. "Uh.. can you. Close it for me..?"

He said he would stop by, to her house. How awesome, it sounded like a lot of fun having him over. At the mention of his sister, she perked up. So he had a sister? That was neat. If you thought about it, Inari had at least ten non-biological siblings. "Yeah.. Living alone isn't that bad though. I mean, the days all kinda feel the same." 

The dryer went off and Inari looked up. So it was finished. Just as he began to talk, it seemed all jokes were on her now. Whit had actually winked at her. And good Arceus it was heart stopping. Inari felt her breath catch and her face turn red as all hell. 

Closing her eyes and turning her face away for a second she tried to calm herself down. "I can.. leave.. or stay or.. I mean its totally up to you." Oh yeah, she wanted to stay.

Scooting over in his direction she placed herself neatly next to him. It was surprisingly warm right there, it was probably due to the heat of the dryer, something she was thankful to have. Laughing awkwardly at his statement she passed his semi-off up politely. 

"I'm fine anyway, i'm used to it."

As things began to quiet down a bit, Whit began to talk about how neat her house is. So he had noticed how clean it was. It was true, she didn't have people over. Like ever. As she leaned her head back she smiled at him. "You got me. No ones actually been in here before. Its just me, all of the time." She didn't want it to seem like she was lonely. Some days she felt as if she was the loneliest person in the world, but she was lucky enough to have met Whit. Things had been looking up for her.

Going back down she hugged her knees again.

"You're actually the only other person that's been in my house.. you should feel honored." That was a joke. A really, super lame joke.

Looking up from her knees, but still keeping her mouth covered, she saw him start to laugh. His own face buried into his hands. They were almost the same. Frowning a bit from behind her knees she didn't really expect him to say he felt the same. 

Feeling her face heat up, she lifted it from her knees fully. Smiling, even letting him see her incredibly red face. These were all firsts for her. "I'm really happy you said that.. I took almost.. all of my courage to say that."  Inari bit at her bottom lip for a second. 

"If I.. sit closer.. would that be like.. bad? Or something.. maybe." 

If there was an award, for making things awkward beyond compare. It would be hers, no doubt.

Laughing a bit she nodded, though he couldn't see her. "It'll be warmer once the dryer starts to heat up." Inari opened the door once more, this time it was very very slowly. He was fully covered right? He wasn't going to be standing there naked when she opened the door right? RIGHT? Swallowing hard she stepped into the room. 

Thank god he was covered up, she couldn't take it if she was just there with nothing over that amazing body of his. 

"This isn't.. like weird right? You don't think i'm weird for wanting to be in here right..?" Inari held her hands together tightly as she slid against the back of the door into a sitting position. She couldn't even bring herself to look at him. He'd see her blushing like crazy. Her naive body and mind were screaming so many things she didn't know what to do. 

"Whit..?" Inari pressed her face into her knees and let out a small sigh. 

"I.. Is it.. Okay? For me to like you? Would that make you.. uncomfortable. Upset? Because I think.. I do, like you."

As she opened the door slowly she held out both the towel and the blanket. Her face was as red as a radish. It.. no, he was incredible. At the sight of his shirtless body the girl let out a small gasp. He was very fit. Though it was dimly lit in the room, she could see every contour of his torso in what little light there was.

Feeling her ears heat up, she felt herself stuttering. "I-I-I-I'm so sorry!" With a slam of the door she pressed her back against it. Oh gosh, he probably thinks she is the biggest pervert in the history of the world. Holding her face in her hands she let out a few deep breaths. She needed to clean the floor before someone slipped. 

Going back towards her kitchen she grabbed the mop and began to clean up the wet spots on the floor. The entire time she couldn't help but think of him. Gosh she was absolutely disgusting. After she finished cleaning the floor, she went back to check on him. 

Knocking, but not opening it this time she spoke quietly. "Whit, is everything alright in there? I feel bad that you're stuck in that tiny room."

As she walked into the house after him, she was sure to lock up behind them. Tossing her keys onto the tiny counter, she placed her favorite yellow umbrella into a rack with at least ten other different colored umbrellas. 

Inari smiled a bit at him, his soaked clothes were a problem. Biting the lower left corner of her mouth now she wondered how they would do this. Luckily, her floors were made out of wood. Inari stepped behind him and pushed him towards a small closet. "This is the laundry room." 

"Its gonna be a little weird, but you have to go in there and put your clothes in the dryer. I'll go get you a towel, and a blanket so you don't freeze in there."

Inari left him in the hallway as she went off to her own bedroom, which.. of course had more orange and white. As she stood in her room for a second, she did her best to hid the following blushes. Virginity sure was a weird thing. Going into her bathroom, she fetched a nice clean towel. In her bedroom closet, she got an extra blanket. 

Standing outside of the door now, she knocked on it carefully. "I--I'm going to open the door.. if that's okay.."

It was unfortunate that her umbrella was too small to keep them both dry, Inari didn't think twice about holding his hand. Sure they weren't exactly an established thing, but it felt.. right. Smiling a bit as he talked on about her living situation, it was clear he was one hundred percent flustered. 

As she inched herself closer to the soaked male she looked up at him. Their height difference was quite large. "I don't sleep at the orphanage. Room space is very limited, and even if I wanted too. I could get them in trouble for having someone too old living there."

Inari smiled again. Little questions like this didn't bother her at all. "I do live alone, and I go home everyday, and that." As if it was on cue, her house came into view. It was a three story apartment complex, her house being on the second floor. "That right there, dead center, is my house." 

For some reason, it made Inari incredibly happy that he was so okay with her being from an orphanage. "Lets hurry and get you inside, I have a dryer you can use. Though.. I don't have any clothes you can fit." Feeling her face redden at the thought of him being almost naked in her house she quickly turned around and opened the door for him. Oh gosh she was such a weirdo.
