Y/n: (looking through a magazine) It’s weird we live in a world that makes you feel like an outcast but if you know that this is a tv shows and outside of this there are millions of fans who love and adore you.

Eddie: (falls) WAIT! What y/n what are you talking about?

Y/n: (finally looks up from magazine) huh?…well I mean did you not notice the cameras in everywhere we go?

Eddie: HUH? Y/n what…no what cameras?

Y/n: (gets up to leave) …..

Eddie: (hurry to get up) no Y/N tell me more about this. Where are you going?

I don’t know what made me think of this and it’s been in my drafts for years so I thought what the heck im just gonna throw it out of here basically the reader has powers like Deadpool she talks to the audience/ the camera and she has the ability to regenerate after sometimes

something occurred to me and if i don't let it out now it's gonna bore a hole in my skull tryna escape, so. um. it's always really bothered me that stranger things doesn't really do anything to address that eleven's hero complex is...not a good thing? like, i kind of hoped her character arc was going somewhere with it when she made the decision in s2 to save her friends (knowing that they couldn't save her in return). like, her being there for them was a good starting point, that's her figuring out who she is, but then she grows from there and learns to rely on them too.

except s4 doubled down on her being the sole saviour of the entire group.

it's been a while since i've watched the whole series in it's entirety so forgive me if i'm forgetting something, but none of her friends ever do anything significant to directly save her life, do they. the kids burning the tunnels as a distraction in s2 is the only thing i can think of and....idk it's just not the same? she has repeatedly put her life on the line and sacrificed her emotional/physical well-being to keep her friends safe, and i'm not saying she should be keeping score and billing these people for her time and effort but relationships are supposed to be give and take, ok. and she's giving a lot more than anyone else. which the show doesn't seem that concerned about.

and while i was thinking about the fact that she's constantly putting herself in danger for the people she cares about and none of her friends ever seem to do the same, i remembered that...billy did. billy, who didn't get the care and concern that will did when he was possessed. billy, who's been hurt and abused his whole life and abandoned by the only person who ever protected him from it.

an argument could be made that el doesn't need the same amount of saving that her friends do, she has the power to help them, she can defend herself, so of course she's always the one putting herself in harms way. but i just. can't stop thinking about the fact that when she was at her most vulnerable, it wasn't the people she's spent the past few years protecting who stepped up to save her, it was billy. meanwhile mike and will couldn't even save her from a fucking milkshake.

i needed more of billy stepping up to protect el, and max, realizing he's doing it because it's instinct, because he cares, not because neil told him he had to. i needed more of el seeing herself in billy. haunted by their absent mothers and controlling fathers, constantly told they needed to be responsible for the safety of others while ignoring their own well-being. if i couldn't have billy back, teaching el how to make friends at school, how to fit in even if you don't feel like you belong, suddenly finding himself with more little siblings than he knows what to do with, then the least they could have done was have her acknowledge that his sacrifice meant something. because it should have.

Some Stranger Things characters on a road trip (modern au):

Steve is driving, while also trying to keep everyone else under control.

Eddie is in the passenger seat and keeps flipping stations on the radio, which is annoying Steve.

Robin is stating facts about any and every landmark or famous city they pass through or by.

Robin thinks Nancy's listening to her but really Nancy tuned her out a while ago and is now listening to music.

Max is listening to music like Nancy but is sharing AirPods with El.

El rests her head on Max's shoulder.

*cue Max's gay panic*

Will has been drawing the whole trip.

Mike's really bored and keeps asking Will stupid questions about his drawing solely to annoy him. It works.

Will secretly doesn't mind though.

Dustin also contributes to Robin's fact-sharing, but when they minorly disagree on something, all hell breaks loose.

Lucas brought a bunch of snacks for everyone to share and has gotten on everyone's good side for the whole trip.

All while Erica sits wondering how she was talked into going on a trip with these guys.

the waiter walked over the table holding the plate of bread, "Hi, welcome to our shitty restaurant where the only thing worse than the ambience is the food." He said annoyed, his hand stuffed into his pockets as he placed the plate of bread onto the table

“My name is Sanji. What can I get for you?” Sanji said, looking at the table his hand in his pockets.

Luffy grabbed the bread plate. "One of everything, please," he said. [Y/n] shook her head, smiling at her always-hungry little brother who could eat a whole buffet and still ask for seconds.

The waiter approached the table with a friendly smile and a suggestion: "May I interest you in one of our signature cocktails to elevate your dining experience?" As he spoke, [Y/n] swiftly and deftly took one of the warm rolls from the basket in the center of the table. Luffy was taken aback and protested with a playful "Hey!" [Y/n] responded by sticking out her tongue, teasingly. She then tore off a piece of the warm, crusty bread and popped it into her mouth, savoring the flavor.

As she looked up, her gaze met the waiter's. Her heart skipped a beat as she noticed his flirtatious smile. "My apologies, madam. I didn't see you there. Would you like to start with an apéritif?" he asked, still smiling at her.

Her face turned bright red. "We have some rare Micqueot vintages in stock," he said, trying to impress her. "Or maybe you'd prefer a glass of Umeshu?" He continued to stare at her, captivated by her beauty.

The moment he flashed a flirtatious smile, her heart raced like a horse galloping on a race track. He leaned towards her and whispered, "You know, something sweet for someone sweet," causing her cheeks to flush with a bright red hue, reminiscent of a freshly picked ripe strawberry. She couldn't explain why she felt so nervous around him all of a sudden, her heart pounding relentlessly against her chest as if it wanted to break free.

He watched her intently, his gaze unwavering as she averted her eyes and looked down. Her cheeks turned a faint shade of pink as she fiddled with the gold Roger coin around her neck, a precious keepsake that Shanks had given her and Luffy when they were children.

He smiled at her and she looked up for a moment, smiling sheepishly as they locked eyes. Usopp clears his throat and says, "Waiter, can I get a beer and something for my friends?" He tells the waiter ordering the drinks, "Two beers. I usually have three, but…" He said,

"Water." Nami said looking at him.

„And a milk." Luffy interrupted, "Three beers and a milk. a water. And, uh, for madam?" Sanji asked, his gaze once again falling on [Y/n] looked up at him and blushed, "U-Um, I would strawberry lemonade and a cup of strawberries," she said, her voice tinged with a hint of shyness. He smiled at her and said, "Right away." just as he left to walk towards the kitchen.

[Y/n] hid her face in her shirt while the other crew members chuckled, Luffy looked towards his older sister playfully. "Y/n's gotta boyfriend," He teasingly said to her. "S-Shut up!" She whispered shouted, elbowing him in the arm before, as the Sanji brought out her drinks. He smiled, at her as he placed the strawberry lemonade in front of her, along with the side of strawberries. Sending her a wink as he did so, her heart almost seemed to stop and her soul could've left her body.

"Y/n's gotta boy-" [Y/n] grabbed some meat on a stick, and shoved it into her brother's mouth silencing him.

Someone I don't remember if it was a friend or a sibling that pointed this out but the vampire diaries missed a huge part in all of the show the other versions of Damon if the whole "the doppelgangers would always find a way to come together." then that means that within some versions there was a damon in the mix so where are the other damons like the was a lot of different stefans (silas,stefan,Tom) and different Elena (Katherine, Elena, Tatia, and Amara)
