omg thank you so much for showing this cover now! i never kept up with iz*one or zerobaseone from their survival program days or now when they all debuted, but i'm seriously regretting it because jo yuri and zhang hao are absolutely phenomenal! jo yuri has such a nice voice - if you have any jo yuri song recs, please let me know because i'm in love with her voice - and zhang hao is so handsome! their duet was absolutely stunning, and i hope they get to perform together again in the near future! I didn't know "gnarly" was a word until this song came out, but now I keep hearing "NaLi" LOL

after you said that you heard nali instead of gnarly, i started hearing nali too, lol! (^///^)

so i have VERY mixed feelings about this song. on one hand, the song is just not doing it for me - the lyrics are nonsensical and the beats/instrumental are not it. on the other hand, everything else was literally perfect. the outfits, the mv, the choreo? the girls are absolutely slaying it - especially daniela, since she has been on point with her facial expressions (⌐■_■)

5 guys, 5 love languages... Summer is here early!

i only really listen to one txt song, which is i 0x1 = lovesong (i know i love you), so i'm excited to expand my txt horizon! \(@^0^@)/

based on the first listen, i have to say that i still like 0x1 = lovesong more, but this is still a very cute and fun summer song! the music video is super aesthetically pleasing and simple, which i enjoy! i adore the lyrics of the song though - the "i wanna speak 'you' " part will always get to me (┬┬﹏┬┬)

little disclaimer - i didn't really watch or read much this past quarter, but this is what i got! ^^

watched:

wind breaker season 1 - i watched this in early january! i went into it pretty much blind, since i thought it was cool to see the main character have split hair color and heterochromia. the anime was a lot different than i thought it would be - what kind of anime promotes fighting? (⊙ˍ⊙) - but i enjoyed watching sakura warm up to people and slowly but surely getting his character development! i absolutely adore umemiya - he's such a cutie pie! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

nina the starry bride - i found out about this anime through an instagram reel sometime after i was done with wind breaker and let me just say: it did NOT disappoint. i am fully invested into the love triangle - yes, i know there's more to the plot but i don't care, i'm just here for the love triangle - and i am on team sett all the way! i really hope that there'll be another season but i am all here for it and i am SAT ( ˘︹˘ )

my hero academia season 1 - i decided to watch season 1 of mha towards the end of january because of a video that went kind of viral on x where a little girl was holding up a shoto plush and was gushing over how shoto had a 'birthmark' like her - i know some spoilers about the anime, so nobody tell her the truth about shoto's mark ಠ╭╮ಠ i have to admit that it's a little slow right now but i heard that it gets better, so hopefully the pace picks up if i ever do decide to watch the second season \(@^0^@)/

fruits basket - all 3 seasons of the 2019 fruits basket reboot took up my february, and i have no complaints because it's just SO. GOOD. it is VERY problematic, but i can definitely see why it's a classic shojo anime - the plot is just that good. i absolutely adore yuki and i LOVE tohru's character, and i will forever be bitter on how the author did yuki best boy SO dirty (i love kyo too, so don't come after me) ￣へ￣

solo leveling season 1 - i watched season 1 of solo leveling in the middle of march, and i am so upset that i didn't watch it earlier because it's SO. GOOD. sung jinwoo is just THAT™️guy - he's just aura farming for all 12 episodes of the season. aura so strong, he should change his name to sung dripwoo (⌐■_■)

thoughts: first of all, i don't care what y'all say - jean and mikasa got married at the end of the anime/manga go argue with the wall if you disagree. i absolutely adore this oneshot because it gave such a realistic glimpse into jean and mikasa's life while they visit eren. because you can love two people, but the way that you love can be completely different. and this oneshot is proof of that \^o^/

j-hope - mona lisa - i don't listen to a lot of bts songs, but this song was undeniably catchy! i love how catchy and addicting this song is, and i can't wait to find more songs that are just as fun as this one! －O－

nct dream: smoothie - i'm just going to say this right now - jaemin is the star of the whole performance. because have you seen his arms?! when did nana get so BUFF? (⊙ˍ⊙)

ateez: wonderland - the only ateez songs that i really listen to are work and ice on my teeth, so i'm excited to be introduced to more ateez songs! the performance gave off pirate vibes - i heard that they have a song titled pirate king, but i'm not sure if that song is connected to this song in any way - and they ate and left no crumbs! jongho especially, because his high note was clearer than my skin （⊙ｏ⊙）

ateez: the glory + ice on my teeth - i'm just going to say this right now - hongjoong stole the show. because how else are you going to top a solo flexing on your successes and accomplishments AND end it with 'this is my pride' where your group pops up? you just can't. ( ˘︹˘ )

aespa: whiplash - i will never get sick of seeing aespa perform whiplash, because how can you get sick of watching them dominate the stage?! and i'm so glad that giselle gets her well-deserved cheers for her killing part - it was long overdue (⌐■_■)

kai: rover - i am still so upset that kai only got 2 wins for rover, because it is his best solo title track so far! i'm glad that he got to perform it again though - he needs to remind everyone that he's back from the military ( ˘︹˘ )

mark: 1999 - you can definitely tell that mark was having a blast performing! i am so incredibly proud of him for juggling his subunits AND his own solo performances PLUS his 3 wins so far! he's the one of the most hardworking idols in the industry and i'm so glad that his hard work is paying off (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
