Konrad gifts the birthday girl scrimshawed finger bones of a powerful Night Lord librarian. "Perfect for defining the future." She says.

Ixora sat down in a rather fluffy and cozy chair. It was clearly made for Magnus, but today was the young girl's special day. Even if it wasn't, Magnus didn't mind. Instead of the usual red of House Magholt that she usually wore, she was in a magenta gown. It was simple, sleek, and had long, bell-shaped sleeves. She had a matching silver circlet adorning her head.

In stark contrast to her gown, she also wore a simple leather belt that held a bolt pistol in a holster, along with a sword at her other hip, which was an ancestral heirloom. Her green eyes glimmered as her birthday guests began to arrive. Each individual looked at with a delighted smile and great interest. The girl was curious by nature, and the keenest of eyes could tell she was looking beyond their physical appearances alone and also at their very souls.

While Ixora chewed the scenery, Magnus was setting out snacks. The sorceress had once again shrunk herself to a more reasonable height to allow the spotlight to be on someone she cared for. Through the glamor of a relatively simple black dress, one could see that the Crimson Queen was in full armor. It wasn't a threat, per say, and she certainly wasn't concerned for her daughter. How could the primarch that could melt brains or erase people from existence feel threatened? And yet, the simple fact that she was formally introducing her daughter to the rest of her family meant that she had to keep up her guard on principal. She didn't expect anything, but she refused to be ill-prepared.

Headcanon: Konrad likes to cook.

I have no proof, but I also have no doubt that Konrad Curze makes food. Besides being a cannibal, he might have Hannibal Lecter-like taste. Maybe he does cook, but he doesn't have time to bake, or he's just too lazy and doesn't want to.

As for Perturabo's complaint, it's that he doesn't tell him why he's cooking fried corpse starch again. This is the third time he's been cooking naked. xD

She's turning thirteen, comes from one of the major houses of Ataraxia, while she most often wears her house color, maroon, I've recently discovered her favorite color is magenta. She's relatively clever in most subjects I've introduced her to but she has a preference towards her studies in Ataraxian megafauna, music, and firearms. She's shown some... impressive feats for a psyker of her age without any augmentations as well."

A large force of Night Lords just left the planet on a diplomatic mission his vox thieves said.... Diplomatic mission? This was a holy war at hand, you find can't leave now because something more important turned up! This was the most important thing of all!

He mops his flabby face with a wash cloth, maybe he can spin this? The faithless Astarte have left this world... Yes, that could be it, play them as cowards not worthy of the emperor's grace! Yes yes, he can see it forming now, the scathing sermon he will deliver!

By the time he is done, the people themselves will rise up against the Night Lords! Cast them out! Liberate this world in the God Emperor's name! He can practically see the parades held in his honour, for being one of the few to see the Night Lords for the scum they where, he himself would stride into their fortress monetary and liberate the remains of the first saint! Yes him!

He mopped his face again, blast this dismal planet and it's humidity, why did the Saint come here when there where plenty of more pleasant worlds to be stationed on....

Meanwhile.

Konrad slowly wraps the present for her niece, a gift from her personal collection, the knuckle bones of a powerful librarian, perfect for casting to divinate the future.... Wait.... This girl is a psycher? Maybe she can make a bone necklace? She has vague memories of Hope enjoying bones as a child... Followed by memories of Euphrati yelling at her over it.

Tears slowly roll down her cheeks and she buries her head in her hands, she missed her so much.... But finding the soul fragments was such a strain on Neil.... She can't risk her dyin, so she must rest between each endeavour.

Theoretically... If it was sturdy and big enough...

... All of the Primarchs SHOULD be able to ride a rollercoaster. Build specifically for boys their size, but... That's still a rollercoaster.

Question is... What would happen on that ride?
