Hi friends, i am going to take a small break from writing Mel specifically. For those of you who are aware, I had a friend who passed away early this month. While this has become something I am okay with now, Mel was a character we had really really deep conversations about and he truly impacted my views and thoughts and impacted a lot of how I write her because of these conversations. This has been really hard for me to have to deal with when it comes to trying to write her because it all kind of floods back and I become extremely emotional specifically about her character. I have been working on my Jinx blog and that has oddly helped me process those emotions as well because it is a character I not only heavily relate to but do not connect directly to my late friend. I really appreciate everyone who has been here for me but for now i am going on a hiatus of undetermined time until i am in a more stable place with Mel.

{⚙️}: When Viktor had heard the Councilor’s footsteps passing the door to his laboratory, he had hurriedly stood from his desk, and made his way towards the exit. Thankfully, judging by how she turned to meet him, he had caught her in time. He gave a subtle sigh of relief, and fully approached.

“Oh, no, it is not about me.” the scientist shook his head dismissively, “But… your motion, yes.”

Hesitating, Viktor shifted his weight onto his left side, placing his right onto the aid that rested under his arm, “It’s about Jayce. He’s been acting … differently, as of late. Distracted, distant. He even left the lab early this afternoon. Some… political matters, he said. I worry for the future of our research, but…” his brow creased, and his eyes flickered downwards.

“But I worry for his wellbeing far more.” those eyes returned to meet Medarda’s gaze, and he held it intently. While there was a seriousness on his face, concern of his own could be found in those amber depths, “With all due respect, Councilor… are you sure he can handle this?”

At times she truly believed that Jayce cared more for his friend than his work but, alas that was not always the case. intricacy of wonder   ,   a compliment till shades of dithered values that collect with bristles.   he supposes he’s always had an appreciation for the arts.   null one that allows him to comprehend just what the other is creating upon the canvas   ;   but the appeal alone is there.   he supposes for artists that an assurance that stems within the princple of it all   –   of knowing a medium   &   being able to create from a singular thought.   ideation that sparks epiphanies till they blend within a swirl of acrylics to create beauty.   it’s nothing short of astounding.

perhaps that is what draws him in   ,   curiosity peaked as his gaze shifts between forms that paint begins to bloom.   contrasting hues that work so well together   ,   precision foretold in the palette knife’s drag.   he’d be too worried about messing up.   one fatal error or wrong choice to create a mess rather than something worth the public’s attention.   maybe that’s why drawing has only ever been good for schematics   &   dreaming.   a clarity of imagination   –   nothing worth sharing because it isn’t the final product.
