s6 but it’s a kooky rom com where buffy fucks up when the social worker is there and says spike’s her boyfriend to cover for why he’s here and spike’s too fucking pleased about it so he’s acTUALLY HELPFUL with the lady. now buffy has to fucking keep him aROUND because he’s the key to bullshitting her way thru social services and she unintentionally over commits to making it look like a ReAl ReLaTiOnShIp and after a while everyone’s just like “buffy i think you’re just dating him for real at this point” and she’s just [buffy.exe has stopped working]

So, instantly my mind goes to my all-time fave Buffy outfit - her red shirt and sex-kitten curls in Crush:

(Of course Spike chained her up; that was a rational and proportionate response to this outfit.)

Another S5 highlight is her Out of My Mind outfit with the sleeveless white top and skin-tight red trousers (are they leather? In my imagination they are leather).

Number 3 in my fave-Buffy-outfits-that-make-me-scream list is her workout ensemble from Lover's Walk. I don't even think this one needs an explanation:

Then, if we're going for iconic and not just "horny", I'd have to choose her Prophecy Girl prom dress/leather coat/crossbow combo. Who else was doing it like her, honestly?

And to round off the top five, an outfit from one of my favourite scenes, the morning-after outfit from Wrecked, purely for the context. And the fact that you know she's stomping around here without any underwear on:
