i AM excited for hades 2 though, part of why i'm trying so hard to get myself to enjoy this game is to catch up on the story before that releases. from what i've seen the gameplay seems a lot slower-paced and strategic, which RULES because every time i play hades it kinda just makes me wish i was playing through transistor for like the 50th time instead, so. really happy to see the combat and moveset over there moreso resembles the type of moveset you'd have like halfway through a transistor run hehe

trying to play hades again and. god i wish i enjoyed playing this game more than i do. the story rules and the characters rule and the music rules but the gameplay. i love roguelites and i love supergiant's stuff but hades just. it feels like if someone who never played a dash-based roguelite made a dash-based roguelite

i think my main sort of issue with it is it feels less like if supergiant made a roguelite and more. if you made a supergiant game *into* a roguelite, if that makes sense. idk man i just think i'd enjoy playing this game so much more if it wasn't trying to be a genre that it doesn't really fully understand how to pull off
