I love the poem "Apo on the wall", because of its content and style of relating in life. The persona's father was a hardworking father to his family. Its like in reality, where our Fathers was sacrificing all their time and attention just to provide our needs that's why we obey their commands because of our pity for them and also because we are scared of what they can do to us even in simple eye contact to them we came up afraid for some reason.
Martial Law is connected to the poem. Like how the people were afraid of Marcos because of his scary governance we are also afraid to our father not because they are scary but because we pity them. It is important to know the significance of past and present. We must know and be updated of what trending in our society in order to go in the flow of life
