you know what’s really different about Vlada & Listy? unlike most gymnasts who have been like “silver is basically gold when Simone’s around” or “we’re all just fighting for second,” they’re not afraid to say they want to win, even if it seems ridiculous in the Simone era, and now they’re Olympic champions

of course Simone was not at her best today, but I think their fight and performance speak volumes about their mentality more than anything
