It is an important part of the storyline because it touches upon why, someone like myself, can still be limited in life and career experience. It explores themes prevalent in Middle Eastern Culture but they exist in Western cultures as well, especially in the workplace.

The Job Search Begins. This video is about me getting out into the workforce by attending an Arab American Networking event in Silicon Valley. A friend of mine, who is helping find an income generating job while I do the Vlog, takes me out to introduce me to people. At the end of the video, I am invited to send my bio/resume to a perspective client. (Note: I learned shortly after I made this video that I did get that job and will incorporate that in the Vlog in future videos)

It covers the journey of how my preschool started and touches on the reasons why it will not continue. The video also covers the theme of chasing a dream,  being an entrepreneur and trying to balance motherhood and world.

Making Movies and Dreams Come True. This video is tricky because half is in English and Half is in Arabic. I have recently hired someone who is translating/subtitling the videos but she has not gotten to this one yet. 

 It mainly covers the story of friends of mine who are breaking into the Hollywood movie making scene slowly but surely. Its meant to be an inspirational clip about people from other countries making it in the US. It will be of interest to movie makers, dual nationals, people chasing dreams and those already engaged in the Vlog's story line who know both Arabic and English. It is hard to circulate this one without the subtitles so I am not sure what you would like to do.

Television is Dead (Rise of the Vloggers). This video is my way of explaining why vlogging is the next best educational platform. It shows how broadcasting and story telling is a need that humans have had throughout history and walks the viewer through how the genre has evolved. It shows how our children are no more online and moving away from "scheduled television". It also touches a bit on the fact that the messages online are not always positive and so having more mature, educated and informed adults with platforms online helps infuse the online environment with more positive and impactful content.

It touches a bit on the fact that I hit 40 and panicked and started to evaluate variables in my life such as career, spirituality, venturing out to new career paths. It shows the first interview I tried to complete as a step of stepping into media as a field. The actor featured in the video is a famous Egyptian actor.

Love Trumped Hate over the Weekend. I participated in the Women's March on January the 21st. It was incredibly inspiring and that is why I decided to this post about it.  On a personal level, It drove home that life in the US is not easy for minorities and especially in the current political climate.  However, this March was also a firm reminder that there is an overwhelming number of Americans out there who share my feelings that the non inclusive rhetoric is hurting America.

The video plays an important role in the Vlog's storyline.  Vlog  post 2 tells viewers that this story starts with Trump winning, and in this post we visit this notion again of what an administration like the current one means in an immigrant's life.

It encompasses a small conversation with a Japanese American older friend who offers words of wisdom on how to go "outside yourself " to get the bigger picture.

A Background Story video is a short synopsis of what my story is as a dual national. It also invites the viewer to not just dual nationals or immigrants among any host nation. It attempts to explain what it is like to be from two different cultures. 

 It also touches on how women in Middle Eastern families are often in a "protected' environment and follow a conservative/ sheltered life path, and how sometimes women have to go off that path to grow.

A Gap Year May Be Necessary. It introduces the storyline that I am a Middle Eastern woman in my 40's who has had a sheltered life. I had not traveled on my own or ventured out without my father or husband my entire life. 

Now that my children were older I am sort of announcing that in 2016 this is the time for me to have a "Gap Year" where I figure out what I want. It also introduces the concept that I had no background in video making or Vlogging prior to this point. It also introduces the concept of me trying to make a self-sustaining income as part of my personal development and how in the past I had not yet achieved that.
