Rei, forever 16. I'm into ZB1 now, mostly Zhang Hao, Gyuvin, Ricky, and Hanbin. Might randomly post about other BP contestants, Chinese web novel (MXTX, TKA), or Mahoyaku.
!Might reblogged NSFW contents sometimes!
Most of my posts are queues, jsyk
When I first got into Boys Planet, I saw Zhang Hao doing the cocktail challenge. He seemed so eager and earnest, yet he failed the challenge. When I watched it, I was like, 'Huh? Isn't it pretty much impossible to complete this challenge?'

Then I saw Ricky's. He did things calmly without any hurry, yet he managed to complete the challenge with a lot of spare time. I became confused, 'How come he did it? Doesn't this mean that the challenge was pretty easy?'

Watching them again, I realized that Zhang Hao spent too much time squeezing the orange. Ricky just did it quickly.
When I was younger, I wish someone had told me straight-up that not all adults experience “a calling”. That many of them never find particular purpose in a career. That sometimes, their job is just what pays the bills and they have to seek satisfaction and fulfillment elsewhere.
Because as an adult, this pervasive notion that there exists a perfect path for everyone, that people should love what they do, and that work is meant to function as a vehicle for fulfilling a person’s grand life destiny is not only inaccurate for many of us, it can be toxic.
The ideal is so ingrained that I have to remind myself constantly I’m not a failure because I don’t adore my job, and because I’m not rocking the world with my work. That is okay.
Sometimes, work is just work. There isn’t always a perfect career path, magically waiting to be discovered. There might not be this THING you were born to do. Sometimes, you discover that what you really want to be when you grow up is “paid”.
So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)
I watched this video a few days ago, a recap about a teacher who taught a class of ghosts. The ending was confusing, so I looked for more information in the comment section and I found these comments.
It piqued my interest, so I went on searching for the novel. Thankfully it's fully translated by E. Danglars.
I have to say that I really like the novel. It's hilarious. Shen Jianguo is really a man of principle.
