The Amazon Forest has been burning for 3 weeks and nobody is saying a word… It is one of the largest rainforest in the world, and also one of the wettest places on Earth. 💧

Siberia, one of the coldest places on Earth, is also on fire. ❄️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That aint normal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Climate change is for real and our planet is burning up. Humans are the cause of this deadly fever. ‪ 🌎

I’m fascinated by this theatre. It’s the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto, Canada. What I find fascinating, is that it’s the last “stacked theater” left in the world- one is on top of the other. Built in 1913, one was for vaudeville acts, and the other for silent movies.

This is the beautiful Elgin Theatre, downstairs. When “talkies” came to be, the Elgin started to show them, and the upstairs Winter Garden Theatre was shuttered. 

This is the enchanted Winter Garden Theatre with it’s gorgeous floral ceiling. For 60 yrs., it remained closed, until they restored it in the 1980′s. They found treasures up there, too- the original hand-painted Vaudeville scenery was stored up there. Now, it’s on display in the Theatre Center. Isn’t this a gem?

This is so neat- a glass-domed greenhouse hut, by Mickey Meunnig, in Big Sur, CA. It has a stove, a fireplace and another small room off to the side. I wonder if he lives here full time.
