I haven't received an e-mail at all. Does that mean I didn't get in?

Unfortunately, yes. 

If you haven’t received anything and we have not messaged you directly on social media, it means that there was a technical error in the delivery of your rejection e-mail. 

Now that all e-mails have been sent and all contributors have been directly contacted, we will no longer be answering messages regarding e-mails.

I wasn't accepted - which I don't mind you guys have a lot on your plate, but in terms of being considered as back-up, you guys don't reject based on what people ship do you? I got a random hate anon for an unrelated not-really-romantic ship around the same time as the letter. not assuming anything of course sorry, just checking!

As you’ll see once we release our Contributor List, we have a diverse group of people with many different interests on our team. 

The Lance Zine does not condone hate, and we would like to keep such sentiments away from our project—- CURRENTS is a labor of love for a good cause, rooted in positivity.

hello! i am a contributor who accepted to joining this zine, but I have yet to receive the social media message, is this important or is it alright not to have gotten any?

Contributors who have confirmed already did not receive a social media message. Social media messages were for those who have yet to respond to the confirmation e-mail.

How many artists will you select? If someone hasn't received an email yet, does that mean we didn't get selected? Thanks!

There’s a handful of artist e-mails still going out! All writer e-mails have been sent, both acceptance and rejection.

sorry to bother you. has the deadline changed or have all the artists already been notified? just wondering since it's the 12th and already getting late in many time zones. i really really appreciate all your hard work. just wnted to know whats up

E-mails are still being sent. Unfortunately, the moderator handling social media & contributor organization had technical and internet connectivity issues—- those will (hopefully) resolved today, and we’ll do our best to get everything out as quickly as possible. We appreciate everyone’s understanding! 

To keep everything on the same timeline, we’ll be condensing our own workloads behind the scenes; however, when you do receive your e-mail, it will be a great service to us if you can reply as soon as possible!

Again, thank you for your understanding, and our sincerest apologies in the delay. Sometimes things happen that we can’t control—- if only there were a Pidge around to help us out! We hope that you can forgive us for the unfortunate circumstances.

E-mails are still working! Please see our twitter for updates. 

We’ve extended the deadline for return confirmation (AKA you confirming your participation in the zine once you’ve been accepted) to April 12 for your convenience. This gives you time to decide while still allowing us, the moderators, some leeway for our own contributor list deadline.

We're working with our messaging client to ensure e-mails aren't dismissed as spam. Don't be alarmed if you haven't received your e-mail yet! 

Social media confirmation will be sent to accepted participants once ALL e-mails are sent. That way we can give you 100% of our attention! Keep this in mind---- just because you haven’t received an e-mail or social media message yet does not mean rejection!

Because we’re occupied with e-mails and other documents, we’ll be back on tumblr to answer questions and go through messages once all acceptance/rejection e-mails are sent, and all social media messages have been delivered.

Yes, we will! We will post when we start sending e-mails, and also when we’re completely finished. To keep everyone in the loop, we’ll try to post updates as we go through the process, too!

You’re welcome! We’re hoping to start sending them out around 9PM PST, but we don’t want to set anything in stone for a specific hour. It all depends on how the day plays out! (And how much Starbucks we’re able to get our hands on.)

Are artist notifications still on track to be done by Friday, April 6th, according to the schedule?

If you look at our schedule, it clearly states that e-mails will begin to go out starting on the 7th—- which is today! We just posted an update about the situation, and the first e-mails will go out tonight, after 8PM PST.

Are applications being considered in the order they were received?

As we’ve been going through evaluations, applicants were split into two categories: artists, and writers. After that, applicants are organized by date received.

When organizing any kind of project, you learn very quickly: spreadsheets are your best friend.
