A reminder I wrote for myself that some of you might appreciate:

The Gods have seen some shit. It takes a lot to genuinely anger Them. Giving an offering They don't especially favour or fumbling a prayer won't anger Them. They will understand your circumstances. They will especially understand if you are unable to worship normally due to a disability or unsafe conditions.

The Gods are not as harsh as some portray Them to be. <3

I don’t think being embarrassed of our religion makes your practice invalid, on account of the fact we’re often not taken seriously, or we’re aware that it may sound « silly » to those who may not understand. It can be hard to gather the courage to speak up and be honest about it. Don’t be ashamed of yourself, it takes time to get comfortable with this.

Your religion is valid in its own right, so don’t feel ashamed with yourself because of feelings you cannot control. The gods understand. Give it time. Such feelings will pass.

I don't mean to sound emotional but I feel genuinely so blessed and thankful for Lord Freyr's presence in my life. I've devoted lots of time and effort to His worship, and He's always returned it in full. He's been such a steady, loving, and reliable presence.

He's helped me through so much, and He's made it clear He'll continue to do so. Hail Freyr!

Virtual holiday rituals

*A few details:

1: I would keep participants’ cams/mics off for the first few until we get to know one another a bit better, since I’ve had a ritual Zoom-bombed in the past.

2: These would be in Eastern Time. If there’s enough interest, I’ll ask more about what times/days would be ideal for folks.

3: These would be suitable for any age.

4: Closed captioning would be turned on, but the rituals would not be recorded.

5: These would exclusively focus on the aesir, vanir, vaetter, and disir; and this includes the members of Loki’s families.
