Summary: Soleil and Siegbert talk about their feelings on meeting their parents in an alternate universe where their parents aren't really their parents. Moms are left vauge except they're not Charlotte (nothing against Charlotte, just she's not either's mom here.)
Soleil held her tea cup between her hands and watched that man in the distance. He wasn't her father. They had been pretending since she got here, but he was married to Charlotte. And, don't get her wrong, she loved Charlotte! She was pretty and fun and cool and strong and a million other things. But she wasn't her mother.
"Soleil, are you alright?" Siegbert interrupted her thoughts and cut off her line of sight. "It's not like you to be so quiet."
She sighed. "I'm fine just...What do you think of this place, Sieg?"
"I think it's very nice. Of course, we are still fighting a war, but there are lots of valuable things to learn and-"
"But, like, what about the people?"
He paused and looked her in the eye. "Soleil, please, what are you trying to get at?"
She looked down. "...It feels weird seeing my dad with someone else. I mean, he flirts all the time, but this is different! It...it feels like he's cheating on Mom! But then Mom's here too, and she doesn't care, because why would she? She was never married to him! I know they're different people, they're not really my parents, but that also means they have their own kids or they might one day and...it makes my whole life feel so fake. Like I just made it up or something."
Finally, she looked back up at him. "Do you know how I feel? I mean, you have to right? You have three dads here; they can't all be your dad. Right?"
He took a moment to process the question. "I sympathize, but I believe I might be in a better situation here. None of my fathers here are married; or, at least their spouses have not been summoned. Nor has my mother. I am able to stay in a state of blissful ignorance where I pretend all three are my true father and nothing counters that assumption."
"But...don't you ever talk about it? Your mom or their wife or...anything?"
"No. Our relationship, er, relationships, aren't like that."
"But...that doesn't sound fun! I mean, it may be super weird to sew my dad with someone else, but it also means he doesn't know my mom well, so get to gush about how awesome she is for hours! And this guy, this Dad, he gets so excited when he talks about Charlotte, it's adorable! You and your dads really don't talk about that stuff?"
"No, Soleil, we do not." He answered, holding back a smile.
"Then what do you talk about?"
"The books we've read, my studies, anything new and interesting we have learned. Though recently spring and summer have come up often too."
"Oh my Gods, you guys are such nerds!" She laughed. "You have to stop being so serious all the time and loosen up! All of you! And that's saying something because one of your dads wears a bunny suit!"
The rest of the afternoon passed quickly, with lots of laughs and smiles. Soleil was glad she'd gotten a chance to speak her mind, but it'd also made her realize she wouldn't trade her relationship with her parents for anything. Her real ones, or the ones here.

I managed to get a summer robin, which made me really excited, so I wrote something about it. I haven’t slept much and this is my first time writing in like, years, so go easy on me.
The summoner chewed her necklace and looked over the orbs. Hm, what color today? They didn't really need anyone, but new heroes were always welcome, as were skill fod- ah, teachers. People to teach skills. Yeah...
"So, what are you going to pick?" Anna asked.
"I don't know." Lane frowned. "I'm thinking maybe I'll try to draw someone someones been missing. I know Fjorm's been hoping I'll find Gunnthra ever since I told her about my dream. And all of the Xanders want to see Siegbert again."
"I've heard some of the other summoners have been getting summer heroes again, strangely. You could always try for one of them..."
Lane looked up at the Commander. "The summer heroes? Really? Now? Why?" "Who knows? We don't really understand much of summoning magic. But I know how much you wanted them. Now might be the time to act, before we lose the opertunity again."
The summoner narrowed her eyes. "You're trying to get me to buy orbs again..." "Maybe, hehe." After a glare, she added, "But I'm not lying!"
"...Fine. But I'm not paying." She grabbed the blue orb, mumbling. "Why do I even have to buy orbs anyway. This is for you and your kingdom. I could be home playing video games and eating food from a microwave."
As she ranted, she placed the orb in the center of the rock and stepped back to shooting distance (not that she was really shooting anything. Well, beams of light and maybe portals? Maybe?) She aimed, closed their eyes, and prepared for the inevitable subpar Est about to appear.
"Hi, I'm Robin I may ha-"
Robin? Robin! Her eyes shot open. And a girl Robin! In a swimsuit! Wait, no, the girl part was the most import thing. But was it even possible to get a girl Robin not in a swimsuit like this? They'd had to battle the other one. Plus she was pretty sure she was green...
"-battle strategy!" Robin smiled as she finished.
"Robin!" The summoner cried out, mouth finally catching up. She ran up to the other woman, probably getting too close, but it didn't seem like a big deal to either of them. "Okay, this might be weird, but I have a lot of questions for you. You're Robin, the tactician, from the Shepherds, right? You work with Chrom?" "Ah, yeah, that's right."
"Are you married to Chrom? Because a lot of Robins are."
"Well, I'm most definitely not.”
'Definitely not.' Was that a 'I don't want to talk about this' response or a 'I really don't like Chrom' response or a 'what do you mean a lot of Robins' response or a joke response or what? Ugh, no anxiety, have to find answer! "Are you married, like, in general?"
Robin laughed. "You don't have to play twenty questions with it. I'm married to Virion."
The summoner threw her hands over her mouth. After a moment she began rocking a bit, and when she finally moved her hands to talk they had to flap a little. "I...sorry, just...I've been looking for you...I guess maybe it still might not be you, but you're the closest I've had...please, God be you...Virion, he...every other Robin's been married to someone else...he's missed you so much...please..."
"Wait...are you saying Virion's here?" the swimsuit clad woman asked tenitivly. The other nodded. "Please, take me to him."
On the way, the summoner asked more questions to confirm what she could- since, of course, there could always be another Robin married to a Virion somewhere out there in the multiverse. What was your wedding like, what are your children like, do you have anything you like to do together? All of her answers matched of perfectly with the stories Virion liked to tell (though Virion may have left out a few of his finest moments.) Lane knew the differences in universes could be a small as what someone ate for breakfast one day, but at that point, did it really matter? As far as she could tell, this was Virion's Robin.
"Virion!" She called out when she saw him. She motioned for Robin to wait. Perfect, she should still be out of sight. This was strategy, right? Like an ambush attack, but happy.
"Ah, my dear! How lovely it is to see you!" Virion apporached and the summoner met him half way, just in case. "What may I do for you today?"
"There's.... someone I want you to show around..."
"But of course." He smiled. "I've been here the longest, it only makes sense! Now, where is this person? Are they being shy? There's no need for that!"
"Come on, Virion." Robin stepped out before Lane could say anything. "You know I'm anything but shy."
"Robin...?" His aura fell. Shaking a bit, tears in his eyes, he stepped forward. "Is...is that really you, my dear?"
"It is." She said, tears of her own forming. "As far as we can tell, I'm your wife. I hear that's been a problem."
"It has." He was crying now. Completely and openly. "I've waited for you, every day. I suppose it has only been a year but... a year can be so long. I spoke with every Robin I met, even those summoned by other summoners. They were all very lovely but...none were you."
Finally, he hugged her. She turned his face and kissed him. The summoner was happy for them, but honestly, romantic atmosphere was not her thing. "I'm just...gonna go then..."
"Wait, please, just one moment." Virion turned to her. "Thank you for reuniting me with my dear Robin. You knew how much this meant to me, and you didn't give up. That means a lot to me. Please allow me to repay you somehow."
"Both of us." Robin chimed in. "Allow both of us to repay you."
"Uh...I really don't have that much of a say in the summonings. It's just random luck." She shrugged. "Besides, Virion, you already do a lot for me. You listen to my rants and you play board games with me and give me advice and, yeah, you've been here since the beginning, I don't know what I'd do without you. And Robin, I don't really know you, but I've been wanting to meet you. I'm sorry if I'm awkward at first, but I really would like to hang out. Maybe you could play board games with us? We have some that we could really use some more players on..."
"Yeah, that sounds fun. I always used board games to improve my strategy too." "Right...that's what I'm doing...Anyway, I'm going to go now then, I hope you like it here Robin, bye." And she left before they could protest again.
#fire emblem heroes#virion x robin#this is my summoner and my robin#i would have used the custom name for robin instead of the generic but...#shes also named lane so...#all of my female mus are lane#wonder why#anyway first post on the blog i hope to post more#ill stop ranting now
