EVER  THE  HUMBLE  CREATURE,  rapunzel  holds  herself  without  much  acclaim,  especially  by  means  of  her  powers.  she  works  quietly,  a  warm  golden  glow  emanating  from  her  palms,  outstretched  in  prayer  over  her  companion.  she  steels  herself  for  praise  the  moment  the  deed  is  done,  now  holding  her  hand  up  in  protest.  “   we  only  get  what  we  give.   ”

✝ — A PURPOSEFUL TEASE, ONE HE EXPECTS HER RESPONSE FROM. As such, when her hands meet his he’s already sliding out of his chair, object of desire in his hands, wrist flicking and causing it to disappear - a spell he learned a while back. A stagger and a turn and he’s facing her, wiggling the fingers of his now empty hand, a SLY SMILE on his face. 

“Well now it’s in another dimension until I call it back,” his tone playful in nature, runes around his wrist as he concentrates on the spell at hand. “Could you afford me just a moment to EXPLAIN before I give it to you?” 

OF  COURSE  HE’D  BEEN  PREPARED.  yet  somehow  she  finds  herself  amazed  at  his  quick  sleight - of - hand.  her  parted  lips  and  wide  eyes  betray  that,  just  for  a  moment,  before  she  composes  herself  as  someone  who  is  very  much  annoyed  as  she  straightens  back  upright,  emptyhanded.  “clever.”

the  sting  is  quickly  soothed  with  the  promise  of  an  explanation,  and  she  folds  her  hands  behind  her  back.  ( briefly,  she  considers  diving  at  him  again,  but  decides  to  exhibit  a  bit  more  restraint. )  as  such,  she  nods,  a  coy  expression  of  cordial  peace  now  on  her  features.  “i’ll  allow  it.”
