lapidary : having the elegance and precision of inscriptions on stone epigram : a short poem written concisely and pointedly about a single thought or event Lapidary Epigram is a blog dedicated to accessible modern poetry, engaging any reader—even the unitiated. My aim is to share poetry that tells a compelling narative with visceral imagery, many times using plain language. I have long believed that poetry is too often presented as an esoteric art form requiring academic analysis, designed to bore children. Let's change that. I encourage readers to submit poems they believe are worthy future entries.
