katie klanced ily but,, we dont know wh y she left keith... like... she mightve left him so the galta wouldn't find him. doesnt mean she abandoned him for a bad reason,

1. until the show began, keith had no idea why his mother left him

2. he literally talks about how he has trust issues bc his mom left him meaning he internalized her leaving and therefore has Severe Emotional Issues from it

3. he likely has no idea if his mother even loved him, considering the fact that when krolia straight up said to him that she was never gonna leave him, that he was worth abandoning the mission for, that it was her blade etc., he still wasn’t able to connect the dots and realize she was his mom. because he has no concept of mothers = being loved, protected, etc.

4. he also doesn’t recognize krolia which means he has no idea what his mom looked like, meaning she left when he was that young, and also left without leaving anything like a photograph, a letter, an explanation,

5. in fact literally the only thing keith knows abt his mother is the knife she left him

6. and a knife isn’t exactly the same thing as an explanation lol

7. especially because keith had to have the shit beaten out of him to get that explanation in the first place (though i can’t exactly fault krolia for this, but i do hold her responsible for keith going to the blades in the first place because like.. if u leave ur kid One clue abt urself of course they’re gonna follow it tf. so while it’s not like krolia was like “hello? kolivan? i have a job for you” it’s still ultimately krolia’s fault that keith ended up in that situation)

like no matter how good her reasons for leaving are, krolia still left, and she clearly left with no explanation to keith. so keith grew up without a mother, and then without a father because we know he’s an orphan by the time the show started, and he has no idea why he’s alone in the world. like im ghsdkjghkdsgsd

krolia might’ve left keith to protect him but if he has no idea he’s being protected, then to him, it’s abandonment

matt and lance are the Memes™ of team voltron, but they have different styles of humor. matt is a classic punmaster. the thing is, he also makes a shitton of anime jokes, so he basically has the humor of the child of middle schooler, a minecraft youtuber, and a dad, all mixed together by the devil himself. lance, on the other hand, is a like class clown. he likes to joke about batshit situations voltron is in, and, occasionally, he complains about how no one ever listens to him but in like…a lighthearted way? sometimes he makes self deprecating jokes. together, they are a force to be reckoned with. shiro gets a headache every time they’re in a room with each other.

I don’t get why tf people are actually complaining about the whole thing in episode 4 where Hunk was badly characterised when that was deadass the point of the whole episode?

Like the whole point of that episode was Coran was going OTT with character tropes to turn them into this ‘audience friendly’ group and that he made it so each of them fitted into a typical personality trope to win people over and engage them. That episode was basically just taking the piss out of overused character tropes you get in things but doing it within the show. The characterisations in that episodes were supposed to be bad. That was literally the whole point of it.

I don’t get how that’s actually going over people’s heads.
