Welp, just did an update on Lara’s character profile. I rewrote her personality and history sections, as they felt a bit disorganized. I also noticed on her artes page that I have it down that she can cast lightning...
I imagine that was her way of trying to overcome her fear of lightning, but then after she successfully cast the spell for the first time, she freaked out and never cast it again...
Anyway, I do think I’ll try to make a comeback here, but I might also consider adding my other symphonia muses here.. mostly to keep the Aurion-Irving family in one place for easier management in the future...
It’s a thought, anyway.

Alright, so I’ve decided that if I do stick around, I’m going to have to revise Lara’s character a bit. Not only do I need to flesh out her verses, but I was writing her in a way that wasn’t true to her character.
Lara is not as ditzy as I was writing her, and not as naïve and trusting as she’s been in the past. Which means I may need to go through my headcanons for her and change some things.
I won’t be editing any old threads with her, though. I’ll leave those as they are, and just try to have a fresh start with her.

You know, I kind of only just remembered that Tumblr was a thing.... *sighs*
I’ve been away from this for... I don’t even know how long, at this point.
Not sure if I want to stay for rp, either. Mostly because the majority of people I rp’d with are... as far as I can tell... no longer around. Most of the people I follow haven’t been active in 3-4 years.
Not to mention the fact that I had a LOT of main blogs and side blogs, most of which I don’t think I can log into anymore, either due to not remembering the email I used for them, or wondering whether those email accounts even still exist. Hmm...
Anyway, on the EXTREMELY off chance that anyone hops back on just to check things out... I guess I’ll be here.

I am actually drawing an updated version of Lara. God, it feels weird getting back to art after so long...
Cool part though, as that I included the pattern of her wings in the design, so I’m actually going to have a reference to how she looks with her wings out when I’m done... hopefully. o3o

dominusliminis:
Tumblr media
His head snapped up when he noticed a strange glow out of the corner of his eye, immediately defensive, thinking she was trying to attack him–but no sooner had his eyes taken on a demonic glow that he realized her power wasn’t hurting him. It felt… soothing. Even his coughing had ceased. Slowly, his claws shortened from their monstrous state, and the tenseness in his hand relaxed.
Lucifer cast a wary look at the girl and took a step back, straightening to regain some semblance of dignity. His face was streaked with blood as he looked down at her, his tail twitching back and forth. Like a mistrustful cat. “What do you think you’re doing?” Cold, even. “What are you, girl?”
Tumblr media
It didn’t escape her notice how he became tense, and she was more than aware of the subtle shift in his appearance. He was definitely not human, and not a half-elf, either. The tail was kind of a dead giveaway of that. But he still seemed wary after her attempt to heal him, and that made her nervous. Especially when he stepped back and looked down at her.
“I was just... um, trying to heal you...” She replied slowly, not moving from her position. Her hand pulled back to her chest, curling into the fabric of her shirt over her heart. “I-I’m sorry, I should have said something first -- but I wasn’t sure how you’d react.” Lara lowered her eyes to the ground until the second question rang in her ears.
What are you, girl?
Lara blinked and looked back up at him, slowly moving to stand herself. She made no movement beyond that, offering a sad smile. “I’m human just -- very different, I guess.” She still didn’t know how to explain that she came from another world, or how anyone here would take that news. “I can... use magic, even though that’s supposed to be impossible-!” She clamped her mouth shut, looking anywhere but at him.
“Are... are you feeling better, at least?” She chanced to ask him.

[Continued] - @dominusliminis
Tumblr media
To be honest, she was a bit surprised by that response. But new or not, she felt bad seeing anyone hurt, or sick. And it wasn’t in her to shrug it off and ignore it. So she stepped closer, raising a hand before she hesitated. She still had yet to reveal her magic, and she still didn’t know him. She couldn’t begin to imagine how he would react.
Her expression set in grim determination, she took in a breath and focused on her mana. Not a moment later, a soft golden glow emanated from her palm, directing the healing magic at him. She couldn’t know if it would be effective or not, but if it was, then it should relieve any pain and stop the bleeding.

Starters for Demon muses!
If your muse is a demon: “Oh, turns out that you’re not that stupid. I thought that you would never figure out what I am.” “It’s not how I actually look.” “Have you met a demon before?” “Do it if you want. Your weapons won’t hurt me anyway.” “Your weapons look funny to me.” “How did you figure out that I’m not a human?” “What do you thing you’re going to do with that Holy Water?” “What?? You’ve lured me into a trap?!” “A trap? How dare you?!” “I’m not afraid of your angels.” “I’m not afraid of your Gods.” “Take the salt away from me.” “Exorcism? Really? You think you can save them?” “I’m too powerful for your toys to work on me.” “Even if I’m a demon, it doesn’t mean that I don’t feel.” “Not all demons are the same.” “Humans… You are so quick to label everyone. I’m not like others.” “I don’t need your soul.” “I might be a demon, but I’m not trying to trick you.” “I know that it’s hard to believe it, but yes a demon wants to help you. Just trust me.” “You’ve known me for so many years… And now you are trying to run away because I’m a demon? I’ve been like this all this time!” “I’ve always been like this.. why are you scared now when you know the truth?” “Aren’t you scared when you finally know the truth about me?” “Sorry that I couldn’t show my true face.” “Will you hate me now that you know that I’m a demon?” “I can help you.. But will you trust a demon?” “Want to make a deal?” “My deals can not be terminated.” “If you want… You can have your dream life. But after ten years I’ll come for your soul.” “Congratulations, you have just sold your soul.” “Now your soul is mine.” “Never trust a demon.” “I will make you suffer!!” “I will enjoy your pain.” “It looks like I’ll have a feast tonight.” “Your soul smells delicious.” “Scream! No one will hear you!” “Pray as much as you want! It won’t help you anyway!” “Aaaaaahhhhh!!!! Not the Holy Water! It buuuurrrnnsss!!” “A circle of salt? Wise.” “Pour as much salt as you want.. But you can’t stay in that circle forever.” “Uh oh… it looks that you’re out of Holy Water.” “You will never understand me, human.” “You think you’re strong human?! Think again!” “No one cares about the demon..” “Why would you care about me? You know that I am a demon.” “I don’t need your compassion.” “Why are you not scared of me? Do you understand that I’m a demon?!” “Have you summoned me?” “Why have you summoned me?” “Who dared to disturb me?!” “You’ve summoned me.. now we must make a deal.”
Towards a demon muse: “I know what you are..” “You’re a demon!” “What are you?!” “No… this can’t be true.. you can’t be something so foul.” “I always knew that there’s something wrong with you!” “I’ve sensed that you’re not a human.” “I knew that you’re not a human.. Just never showed it.” “Even if you’re a demon I still care about you.” “I… I don’t care that you are a demon.” “Demon or not, you’re still important to me.” “You have been a demon.. all this time?” “Stay back!. You.. you monster!!” “Please, don’t hurt me! I’m begging you!” “Don’t kill me… Please…” “Are you going to posses me?” “What do you need from me, you filthy creature?” “Posses me… Take my body.” “I thought that I knew you..” “Stay away from me. You’re scaring me.” “I’ve killed hundreds like you.” “I know how fight against you.” “So demons are real?” “Don’t tell me that demons are real.” “I’ve trained to kill demons.. And it’s time for you.” “Salt, Holy Water, book about exorcism.. believe me I’m prepared.” “You’re heartless.” “How could you do that?!” “I want to make a deal.” “I don’t know what else can I do.. help me.” “I’ll give you my soul for their life.” “I don’t care anymore… I want to make a deal.” “Your eyes… they’re black.” “You are unusually friendly for a demon.” “Aren’t demons supposed to be merciless killers?” “You’re different from other demons.” “You will help me?.. But you’re a demon.” “Why would demon want to help me?” “Why would I help a demon?” “Why would I trust a demon?” “I don’t trust you.. You’re a demon.” “How could someone love a demon?” “How could I feel something towards you?” “Monsters like you don’t deserve to be loved.” “Monsters like you don’t deserve happiness.” “Even demons need some love.” “It doesn’t matter that you’re a demon.. You still deserve to be happy.” “I’ve never thought that I’ll have so much fun spending time with a demon.” “I never thought that I’ll be calmly talking with a demon.” “Are other demons also so nice to be around?” “Can you feel something else that a need to kill?” “Are you truly so cruel like everyone is saying?” “What do you want?! My soul?!” “Take my soul! I don’t care! Just leave me alone!” “Take my soul! I don’t care! Just leave them alone!” “Yes.. I’ve summoned you.” “I’ve summoned you and you much obey me.” “What?! I wasn’t trying to summon a demon!” “I didn’t knew that reading this will summon a demon..” “Give me back my soul!” “I want to end the deal.” “You’ve tricked me! I knew I shouldn’t have trusted a demon!” “Wait.. you haven’t tricked me?” “You’re a demon.. there’s no way that I’ll allow you to stay alive.” “Go back to hell!” “I’ve finally summoned you my master.” “Let me serve you.” “You won’t be able to get me in this circle of salt!” “Taste some Holy Water!” “It burns you doesn’t it, you scum?!” “You won’t lay your nasty fingers on anyone else!” “Come! They will not find you here!” “No! They will find you!” “What have you done to me?” “You shouldn’t have left hell.” “Why do you care? You’re a demon.” “So how do souls taste like?” “A demon?.. Here?” “I’ve imagined demons differently.” “This is exactly how I’ve imagined demons.” “I’m honoured to meet you.” “Even if you made everyone else trust you, demon… know that I never will.” “May I ask… how actually old are you?” “What does hell look like?” “What will happen to me after You take my soul?” “You’re a demon.. You wouldn’t be able to understand me.”

nebu-hii-ejamu:
“I suppose. Humans with low resonance can’t see me, normally.” he stated, all the while not even standing on the ground, but still floating.
“I’m not sure what this resonance is... but if it’s anything to do with the ability to sense mana, then -- I guess it makes sense.” Lara hummed as she lifted a hand to her chin in thought. Honestly, she wasn’t all that bothered by the fact he was floating around. Carbuncle was a protozoan that looked like a bluish-green fox-rabbit, and he could float too.
“I mean, normal humans can’t even sense mana. Heh, I guess that really does make me a bit strange, huh?” She was thinking aloud, but it was still a valid thought.

The boy looked down at her. “Here? You are in the main chamber of the Empyrean’s Throne, in the center of the Midgand Empire.” he stated. “I am the Empyrean lord, Innominat, suppressor of malevolence.” He floated around her. “No malevolence, yet clearly human… How peculiar…”
Okay, now she was confused, and a little unnerved by the fact he was floating around her. It was almost like being circled by a hawk, and that was not a feeling Lara was familiar with, despite being a hunter.
“I uh, don’t really know what half of that means...” She spoke again, watching him. He was dressed strangely, and he was floating, not to mention the strange feeling of the mana in the air. “Are... you some kind of Spirit?”

A golden light appeared before her that formed into a little boy about the age of 11 or 12, only he was hovering off the ground and dressed very angelically. “How interesting. The earthen historia didn’t tell me how you came to be here. Who are you?” he asked.
Lara startled somewhat when the boy appeared in front of her. Chocolate brown eyes blinked twice before she took a few measured breaths to steady her heart. From one place to another, and more strange things happening, she really ought not to be surprised by it all. Her luck had hardly ever been the good kind.
“Oh, um... my name is Lara. Lara Irving.” She replied honestly. She smiled slightly as she started rubbing at the back of her neck. “As for how I got here... I-I think that can be blamed on the Otherworldly Gate.” She looked off to the side, still getting a feel for the room, as well as trying to push down her anxiety at the presence hanging in the air. Something about the mana felt too dense, and it wasn’t helping her head any.
“Still don’t know why the gate was close to my village... the mayor would have warned me about it if she knew...” She mumbled the last part to herself, still rubbing at her neck before dropping her hand to her side.
“Uh, I actually don’t really know where ‘here’ is...”

@nebu-hii-ejamu
She hadn’t even noticed the shift at first, but then the onslaught of mana as she was pulled through the Gate gave her a headache the likes of which she could scarcely believe. Lara’s eyes were shut tight as she waited for the feeling to pass. It was a strange sensation, feeling nauseous when she hadn’t felt anything in the past couple of months. And nausea was far from her list of things she could still feel. Spirits, she couldn’t even eat, so why the sudden nausea.
Either way, she groaned slightly, hands holding her head as she slowly opened her eyes to get a look at her surroundings. It looked like she was in some kind of temple or something. The walls were all white, and certainly looked like no place she’d ever been to before. Where was she, and why did the Gate drop her off here?
Slowly, she got to her feet and lowered her hands to her sides. This was really unexpected, she wasn’t sure how to react. “Um... hello?” She called out, wondering if anyone was nearby.

| ☠️ |  It would be more surprising should even the most sheltered of souls have never heard of Aifread or his crew even once, although it is a curious eye he turns in her direction, taking note of words she speaks, although perhaps without having meant to. Village in the middle of a valley? Scouring geography through his mind, he tries to recall, perhaps remember a village in the middle of a valley, only to be pulled from such whirring gears with her fascination toward his ship.
“Aye, that she is. We do well to take of her. She means too much for anything else. Sometimes I wonder if we are even worthy of her.” Eizen muses, more to himself than her, a spark of mirth passing through his cyan gaze, smile slight and proudly facing The Van Eltia.
“Would you-“ Sylables hating in his throat, eyes widening a smidge as he too turns his head to look back, having heard the frantic cry of a human. A daemon invasion…? It couldn’t be here, that possibly, daemonblight had somehow struck?
“What- wait!” A shock of alarm passing stoic features, he turns on his heel, only just able to extend a hand as she shoots off, running back whence they came.
“Dammit!” Did she even know what she was getting herself into? Followed her here? Casting a look to his ship, and a few confused stragglers of his crew loading it, a hiss slips past lips. They were going to set off soon, and to delay would put them at risk for being caught as the frauds they were.
“Keep on schedule! I’ll make this quick.” An order, followed by a chorus of agreements, Eizen flicks his wrist, fingers tightening around the bangle there. His curse could either turn this in or away from his favor, and he was determined for it to be the former, following in her footsteps, a wind arte sparking at his feet and providing a burst of speed.
“Lara! Don’t you dare say anything about not leaving just yet! You alone do not make that choice!”
Tumblr media
Shoving through the fearful and shaking crowd, The Repear steps forward, lacking in such emotion, and only intimidating the crowd back further, so he can get a glimpse of what might be the girl in the distance. Sparing a nasty glower toward any who would dare get in his way, he finally pushes forward to stand near her, gaze spared for a second on what was considered to be a daemon.
Just what in Empyrean’s name was that thing…?
Lara’s gaze was solely focused on the demon when she arrived at the commotion. A black skeletal creature with fiery horns curling over it’s skull. A long skeletal tail and four arms, each holding a different type of sword. For her, the strangest part was the fact that the demon looked smaller than she remembered; about half the size. But as she took a moment to feel the mana around her, she realized the energy was more dense in this land.
“No wonder it’s been weakened...” She muttered to herself, weapon still held at the ready.
Even weakened, however, it was giving trouble to the few armored people who had engaged with it. It wasn’t good enough. This was a demon from her world, and she could hear them. They called it by the same name, but she felt the inflection was different somehow.
Just as Eizen arrived at her side, the demon’s gaze turned towards them, it’s burning red eyes focused on Lara alone. She reached back and drew an arrow from her quiver, not even looking away from the creature. It swiped one long blade in an arc, knocking people to the side, ignoring the spells cast at it. There was something different about this one, but what?
A shift on her shoulders told her Carbuncle had poked his head out from beneath her cloak. The bluish-green fox-rabbit sniffed at the air.
“Lara, look at it’s chest.” Lara did that, noticing a swirling orb of black and violet light. A weak point maybe?
“The center of its’ chest is its’ weakness.” She stated clearly, glancing briefly at Eizen, hoping that he saw it too. He probably did, but she wasn’t going to take chances. “As for back there... I can’t just run off and let other people deal with my problems.” This demon had followed her here. She had run from it before, but now that it was threatening other people, she couldn’t run off.
A screech rang through the air, and Lara almost released her grip on her weapons to cover her ears. But she didn’t. That would only cause more trouble, as the demon was now rushing towards her. With little time to focus, she nocked the arrow and drew back, drawing on her mana as she did so. The tip of the arrow began to glow faintly, and Lara took in a breath, and released them both.
The arrow grazed across the edge of the swirling orb, and she cursed inwardly at that. But even tho it wasn’t a direct hit, it effectively caused the demon to freeze. Those eyes locked on her as it tossed one of its’ blades at her, and Lara was forced to jump to the side to avoid it.

cruelbeautifulworld:
Tumblr media
First there were Titans, and now there was this massive demonic looking creature charging towards the walls. Could humanity never catch a break from all the hell that was unleashed? Something in her gut told Mikasa that life was constantly testing her limits to see how much more of things she could take before she buckled under the mental stress.
“What in the hell?” She said, aiming herself out once she saw there was a girl running from the beast, much to her surprise that she was outrunning it. Although, just barely she was. Mikasa had to go to save her. After all, nothing had bested her yet.
“Hang on!” She called to the girl, “We’re coming to help!”
Running still, it wasn’t until she was a bit closer that Lara realized these people were prepared to fight, especially when she heard a girl call out to her. Brown eyes blinked as Lara kept her pace, her heart picking up the pace as worry set in. The sense of the demon’s power had been great even in her own world, but here where it’s power wasn’t weakened, she couldn’t help the fear that people would be hurt if they got involved. Instinct told her to keep running, to put as much distance between the demon and herself as possible.
But if others were going to fight it, then she couldn’t keep running. She let out a small gasp as two or more of the strangers ahead moved, using their strange gear to move to attack the demon. A sense of awe filled her, as it almost looked like they were flying, though they clearly had no wings. At least not beyond the sigil they wore on their clothes.
The demon paused in its’ chase for a moment, massive hands moving to strike at the people daring to interfere. Lara dug her heels into the ground and slid to a stop, turning her head to look, before she quickly pulled the bow off her back and drew an arrow from her quiver. Her attacks wouldn’t be much, but it was still better than nothing, especially when she saw blades shattering against the demons’ dense bones.
“Wait! I’ll try to weaken it first!” Lara shouted, as she drew the arrow back, focusing on infusing as much of her mana into it as possible. It would serve to weaken the spot the arrow hit, hopefully to the point the demon could be taken down. Please, don’t miss. She released the arrow and watched it strike one of the demons’ skeletal hands. The bone seemed to be turning to dust where the arrow hit. “Aim for the arrow!” Lara called out as the demon paused its’ movements for a moment. She knew that wouldn’t last very long.

Otherworldly Scout (Verse) Headcanons
The flash of light that occurs when Lara appears in the SnK world looks different, though similar to the light when a Titan Shifter takes on their titan form.
In this verse, the demon chasing Lara got pulled into the SnK world as well, though it is now twice as strong as it was in her world, and nearly three times as large.
The demon is question is a massive skeletal being with curved horns on its’ head, four arms carrying different blades, a set of massive skeletal wings, and a long tail.
The demon’s bones are dense to the point that the blades used to kill titans might make some fair scratches, but otherwise will break upon contact. (The only way to overcome this would be for Lara to shoot an arrow infused with her mana at the demon and then have everyone coordinate their attacks at the place where her arrow landed.)
Obviously this means the demon is much harder to kill than any titan, though not impossible, and given Lara would need to rest after a few shots, each attack would basically just force the demon to retreat for a time.
Lara can still heal the injuries of other people, but using her own mana means she’d only be able to accomplish so much before passing out. (Because she would certainly work herself to the point of having almost no energy left).
Her recovery rate is still much faster than average for a human, another thing that would lead to a lot of questions, but she can’t regenerate limbs. On the off chance that she lost a limb, she might be able to reattach it if it’s done within a span of ten minutes or so, but any longer than that and there’d be nothing she could do, either for herself or another person.
the reason for the above is because her healing magic works by REVERSING the damage to the cells, not by speeding up their recovery.
Given her physical abilities, Lara would probably adjust to the maneuvering gear quickly. However, she has faster reflexes than average, plus being physically ten times stronger than the average person without LOOKING like she is makes it hard to gauge how much of her strength to actually use or reveal. She’s far more likely to use more strength than necessary without meaning to.
Lara can neither eat, nor sleep. Physically her body requires none of the essential needs of an average human. She can’t even taste her food, let alone keep it down, so she’s more likely to give her rations to someone else, or simply state that she isn’t hungry at the time. As for sleep, she may pretend to sleep when or if someone checks on her, but otherwise she’s too restless to stay in bed.
And, since she can’t feel pain, she’s able to push on more than normal. The pain that would normally distract another person won’t weigh her down. She won’t even notice her wounds most of the time unless someone points them out to her.
