i have nothing against louis but his voice is very weak compared to every one else in the band so why is he your favorite voice? (not trying to be rude but it is)
I feel like Iāve answered this before but for the last time, Louisā voice is fucking crucial to their sound as a singing group. Their harmonies would sound broken and empty without him. His voice might not be able to compete with Liamās lower register or Zaynās high notes or Harryās nuance but itĀ so fucking unique. This whole āLouis is the weakest one vocallyā is just a myth with little substance because his voice is absolutely pivotal to their overall sound.Ā The real question is, how can Louisā voiceĀ not be your favourite?
Carrying the chorus in WMYB (X) (X)
Carrying the chorus in Moments (X)
Carrying the chorus in Over Again (X)
Speaking of Over Again, listen (X)
Little Black Dress sounds horrible without him (X)
Hitting difficult notes effortlesslyĀ (X)
The way he uses melisma in Summer Love (X)
Nothing weak about his Rock Me solo (X) (X)
Listen to Liam singing Louisā part and then Louis taking over (X)Ā Louis is actually way stronger than Liam vocally here, they just have different strengths
The bridge in I Would. Oh yes, very weak indeedĀ (X)
Listen to that last note and weep (X) (X)
Him being granted so few solos in the beginning is a crime (X)
His Use Sombody solo shows heās got great range (X)
Look at him hitting a perfect G4 note (X)
His voice is fucking unique (X)
It sticks out like crazy from the other boys (X)
His Better Than Words solo is an orgasm in audio formĀ (X)Ā (X)Ā (X)Ā The way he slightly cracks his voice during āyoOoUUuuā is a difficult technique to master but he does it impeccably
His soft, silvery voice compliments Harryās perfectly (X)Ā (X)
The contrast is the most beautiful thing in the worldĀ (X)
some weirdness: āOne former One Direction fan is unhappy with the way Harry is trying to be a rock-star instead of the adorable kind sweet boy everyone fell in love with in 1D.ā
harry, actually, since going solo continuing to be the kind sweet boy heās always been:
āWe have a choice, every single day that we wake up, of what we can put into the world, and I ask you to please choose love every single day.ā
āI really could not feel prouder than to be able to perform in front of a crowd filled with strong women.ā
āI gave my heart to every single one of you, from the front to the back, from right to left. Iāll miss you every day until I come back next year.ā
āI would like you to do one thing for me before you go. I would like you to close your eyes. Everyone close their eyes. Close you eyes. Keeping your eyes closed. Is everybodyās eyes closed? Thereās some cheaters and I donāt understand why. Itās simple! Close your eyes!! Ā Ok. Iād like you to join hands with the person next to you [waits a good ten seconds for this to happen].
Now raise them in the air. Please know that wherever you are from, whoever you are, whoever you would like to be, I love each and every single one of you. Thank you so much. Iāll be back next year. I cannot wait to see you again. Please love each other. I love you very much. Thank Ā you so much for coming tonight. If you have a flash on your phone or device, please get it out - now is the time. This is Sign of the Times. Get home safe. Thank you.ā
āmy momās name is anneā¦ with an eā
āIf I had children Iād want them to be whatever they wanted to be.ā
literally did a mv for his most ~rockstar song with kids and puppies and cake
āI always said, at the very beginning, all I wanted was to be the granddad with the best stories ā¦ā and the best shelf of artifacts and bits and trinkets.ā
āThank you for popping my cherry, as you will.ā
āWhoās to say that young girls who like pop music ā short for popular, right? ā have worse musical taste than a 30-year-old hipster guy? Thatās not up to you to say. Music is something thatās always changing. Thereās no goal posts. Young girls like the Beatles. You gonna tell me theyāre not serious? How can you say young girls donāt get it? Theyāre our future. Our future doctors, lawyers, mothers, presidents, they kind of keep the world going. Teenage-girl fans ā they donāt lie. If they like you, theyāre there. They donāt act ātoo cool.ā They like you, and they tell you. Which is sick.ā
ā Since Iāve been 10, itās kind of felt like ā protect Mom at all costs. ā¦ My mom is very strong. She has the greatest heart. [Her house in Cheshire] is where I want to go when I want to spend some time. ā
āThank you for allowing me to do thisā¦ which is what I love most in life.ā
āI think music is and should be a safe space for everyone. I donāt see why that would ever or should ever exclude women. Iāve said it before; Iāve been incredibly lucky to have the support that Iāve had through my time in music and touring. I feel very lucky for that. Itās often dismissed a little bit - younger girlsā taste in things. I still donāt really understand that at all. Women and girls, in particular, are very much the future and our future. I feel very lucky to get to play in front of such an amazing group of strong women and men every night. Itās something that I feel very honored to get to do. I feel incredibly grateful to be able to play in front of groups of such amazing people. Music, in general, is something that is so individual. Not everyoneās taste is the same at all. Itās something that canāt be taken away from you. That in itself is incredibly powerful. ā
āI think, to me, this definitely means a little more tonight being here. I wrote this song a few years ago. It was sang by Ariana Grande on her album. I think, for obvious reasons, it means a lot singing this in Manchester. And, uh, Iām very aware that it takes a lot of courage to come to shows these days and you being here tonight means more to me than youāll ever know. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.ā
āI actually think that the kind of fans that weāve had are the most honest. Everyone meets those people where they like something and theyāll never admit theyāll like it. ā¦ Iād rather someone be honest with me, and I wanted to be honest with the album.ā
Ermal Meta and Fabrizio Moro (two of the most prolific Italian songwriters atm) just won the 68th edition of the āFestival Di Sanremoā here in Italy.
The song they participated with is āNon mi avete fatto nienteā and was written by Meta, Moro (the performers) and Febo right after the Manchester terroristic attack in May 2017.
I wanted to translate the lyrics for you guys, because I believe itās a song hitting close to home for lot of people.
āThey donāt know what time is it at El Cairo right now,
The sun on La Rambla is not the same today.
Thereās a concert in France, people are having fun: someone sings loudly, someone yells āto deathā
Itās always raining in London but today it doesnāt hurtā¦ the sky doesnāt make discounts, not even at a funeral.
The sea is red of fires and shame in Nizza, of people on the asphalt and blood in the sewer, and this giant body that we call Earth, hurt in its organs from Asia to England,
Galaxies Ā of people missing in space, but the most important one is the space of a hug of childless mothers, of fatherless sons, of lit up faces like walls without paintings.
Minutes of silence broken by a voice: āYou havenāt done anything to me, You havenāt done anything to me, you havenāt taken anything from me! This is my life that goes on beyond everything, beyond people. You havenāt done anything to me, cause everything goes beyond your useless warsā
Thereās someone who crosses themselves, and someone who prays on carpets.
The churches and the mosques, the ImĆ ms and all the priests.
Separated entrances to the same house, million of people hoping for something,
arms without hands, faces without names
Letās exchange skin, weāre human after all
Because our lives are not a point of view, and a pacifist bomb doesnāt exist
You havenāt done anything to me, you havenāt taken anything from me. This is my life that goes on beyond everything, beyond people"

sometimes i forget how many times iāve picked myself off the floor, how many times iāve washed away smudgy makeup and put myself to bed. how many times iāve said no to something unhealthy. said yes to something good. how many times iāve treated myself with kindness and patience. i forget how many times iāve tended to wounds and made peace with my own anger. if i was taking care of a body that was not my own, iād believe i was doing everything i could. so hereās to remembering that iām doing the best i can.
you, about italian summer: aesthetic, beautiful people walking at dusk holding hands on the beach, reading a book by the shades of a tree, falling in love with the first italian person you meet, orange palette colours
me, an intellectual: sweating from every pore, too much heat, tree shades wonāt save your weak soul, sunscreen cream PROTECTION 100, bugs, mosquitoes, MOSQUITOES EVERYWHERE, you look like youāre ill of chickenpox for all the mosquito bites, Divieto di Balneazioneā¢, āCOCCO BELLO COCCOā, people completely drunk and wasted on August 15th, when even the tiniest bit of wind rises people cheer and sing hallelujah all together
Do you ever eat popcorn out of the palm of your own hand with such ardent desperation that you feel like both a wild horse and the gentle schoolgirl feeding it treats to gain its affectionĀ
Itās the guy from the one band
Cigarette in my left hand
Whole world in my right hand
25 and itās all planned
Night out and itās 10 grand
Headlines that I canāt stand
But you only get half of the story
The cash, the cars and the glory
No sleep and we partyĀ ātill morning
āCause nobody cares when youāre boring
Iām just like you, even though my problems look like nothing yours
Yeah I get sad too, and when Iām down I need somebody to talk to
Yeah, I feel the same way as you would do too
Same stress, same shit to go through
Iām just like you, if you only knew
If I had it my way, pub lunch every Sunday
Cheap beer and itās okay
I wanna lay where she lays
I wanna stay in these days
Gonna smoke and itās okay
But you only get half of the story
The cash, the cars and the glory
Just like everyone else here before me
āCause nobody cares when youāre boring
Iām just like you, even though my problems look like nothing yours
Yeah I get sad too, and when Iām down I need somebody to talk to
Yeah, I feel the same way as you would do too
Same stress, same shit to go through
Iām just like you, if you only knew
Every heartbreakās the same
Every tear leaves a stain
Canāt I just be the same?
Every heartbreakās the same
Every tear leaves a stain
Let me be the same
Iām just like you, even though my problems look like nothing yours
Yeah I get sad too, and when Iām down I need somebody to talk to
Yeah, I feel the same way as you would do too
Same stress, same shit to go through
Iām just like you, if you only knew
