tbh? you should just ask what seems fun for u
not every question is gonna be about everyone but as long as yr makin an effort to like cycle? no ones gonna be mad
i think the most difficult part of me running this blog is how im trying to male Every Question very broad to apply to as many systems as possible because i feel bad if im not including anyone. i even feel bad asking questions about like. introjects. or switching. or anything else. you know? but its especially bad with more specific stuff. i think i should stop giving a shit

Plural culture is having to listen to the same song over and over because your autistic host likes it a lot. Kiddo, I don't mind, but can we please listen to something else?

if yr on a budget and you got a handful of fronters (cant be more than like 3-4) you need to get good at the compromise option
there might not be somethin that FITS everyone but theres prolly somethin erryone dont hate
Plural culture is owning so many drastically different outfits and accessories because there's no "one style fits all" option.

what the fuck why would people say that
like. i think a lotta people have a jesus headmate or a saint headmate or whatever and dont realize they do
BUT that doesnt mean religion is headmates all the way down lmao
I am really unsettled by the idea that a certain syscourser posited, that in a plural future religion would go extinct as people would turn to their headmates instead of faith.
We Willows have been plural literally as long as we can remember. We Willows are eclectic/nonfundie progressive Christians. Two of our headmates follow an innerworld religion as well as Christianity. Our one little isn't quite old enough to know what she believes for sure, but seems to be leaning towards the innerworld religion.
Our faith has nothing to do with loneliness. It's about trust and hope and love. It's about having a relationship with the Beings that know things we can't know and that see things we can't see, see a plan for our life, a path that goes through dark places only to lead to greater higher places.
It's about taking comfort in the idea that there's something beyond this world, something better that lies ahead that we can pattern ourselves and our current world after.
It's about the Great Archetype of sacrificial love, and applying that to our life here and now. We give what we can, of our money, talent, and time, at cost to ourselves, to each other in our system, to people we love, and people we don't know in the world at large. Every human being is our neighbor.
It's about life lessons in the form of stories. Jesus's parables, the stories of people in the Bible, and applying those to our life.
It's about being something more than a flesh and blood mortal. Souls, with purpose and reason to exist.
And even if it turns out not to be true, it's helped us be better people.

I get to be more free as an adult than I ever did as a child and I think more kids need to know that. as a high schooler part of what made my depression so bad was being told over and over again that it was the most carefree time of my life. while I was trapped in an abusive home + amongst bullies at school + in a body that wasn’t right for me. opportunities to be carefree don’t end when you turn 18. you can be more you than ever as an adult and that’s such a gift. I know ‘it can get better’ is an annoying thing to see over and over when you’re as trapped as I was back then. and I know that if you’re still a kid you deserve to be free right this second. but it can and will get better and this is not where life stops being interesting. promise

Been getting ready for tomorrow's plans by mixing up some sauce in advance, to save effort tomorrow and let the flavors blend for longer.
Ours got some fairly aged miso, partly because I have yet to see commercial GF doenjang. I also added a splash of vinegar, because the flavor balance seemed like it could use just a little acidity. Whatever, it already tasted damned good when I put it into the jar and the fridge.
I did actually make one of my kitchen sink batches of rice noodles with a bunch of veggies and some of the same ground meat yesterday--and decided to go with gochujang-based seasoning, which ended up being an awful lot like ssamjang in flavor profile. 😅 (Delicious, btw!) The seasoning sauce for that reminding me of ssamjang was what actually inspired this plan.
But, this should be sufficiently different from fried rice noodles that it hopefully won't feel too samey to Mr. C.
My plan:
We have a head of Romaine and some ground pork and beef mix that either needs used or stashed in the freezer. So, some type of lettuce wrap seemed like an idea.
Going the simple bulgogi-seasoned ground meat route, with some jasmine rice to spoon in as we like. (It'll work fine, and that's what we have right now besides basmati.) I will probably go lighter on the rice with mine, and really like having that flexibility like with the folded gimbap that I really need to pick up more ingredients for.
(Somewhat amusingly, most of the places making sushi here are run by Thai people. The local Thai N Sushi For You small fast-foody chain is really not an anomaly with what they're serving. So yeah, you're getting a lot of jasmine rice used in sushi. We're just sorta going local style with the ssambap. 😅)
Anyway, I was also going to cut up some cucumber, and pull out those white kimchi-inspired daikon and carrot pickles to add in the wraps. And of course the sauce. That'll have to be good enough.
I may also break into that small overflow jar of white cabbage kimchi which won't have had more than a day to start fermenting, for mine. That said, with this weather and how fast kimchi tends to take off anyway? I would be surprised if it hadn't started bubbling by then.
But yeah, funny how much better we end up eating when I'm well out of the winter blahs AND we have fresh groceries. 🙄
