Hey Everyone! Hoping the new year has been amazing so far, I’ve decided I’ll pop up every so often to post. I honestly like not being around, especially with how things are now (unless they change but I doubt it). I will keep the Instagram page up for 48 hours and then disable it again, maybe in the future I’ll place the page on private. And no I’m not posting anything I’ve missed while I was gone, I’m no longer overworking myself.

JAY-Z and Beyoncé, photographed as they attended the art show “DREAMWEAVERS,” which was co-curated by their friend Swizz Beatz, at the UTA Artist Space in Beverly Hills on February 13. Other guests at the show included Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh, Jesse Williams, Arthur Jafa, and United Talent Agency executives. Hov is wearing a custom “Marcy, Brooklyn” wool snapback by Hood Hat, an Off-White™ c/o Jean-Michel Basquiat hoodie ($740), and a pair of the 2015 Dover Street Market x NikeLab Dunk LUx High sneakers ($150). It was the third time that the new Jean-Michel had worn the hoodie that week.
Beatz worked with Nicola Vassell to curate the show, which contemplates the surrealism found in this particular moment in history through the works of some influential black artists. Included in the show are Nick Cave, Karon Davis, Cy Gavin, David Hammons, Arthur Jafa, Kerry James Marshall, Noah Purifoy, Nathaniel Mary Quinn, Nari Ward, Carrie Mae Weems, Charles White and Barack Obama portraitist Kehinde Wiley. The show will run for the next two months.

JAY-Z and Beyoncé, photographed sitting atop a vintage Jaguar XK120 convertible during the business mogul’s inaugural Gold Party, held in the underground garage of the famed Chateau Marmont hotel on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles on March 4, 2018. A vintage Jaguar E-Type coupé was also on display.
Held post-Oscars, the soirée was a private after-party hosted by Jay in celebration of the new black Hollywood elite, and to honor his longtime friend and two-time Oscar nominee, Mary J. Blige. “I have the fam doing something big for us tonight,” she had said on the Academy Awards red carpet. “I feel really blessed to have people that care about me that much. I care about them that much and it just feels really good.” The event also benefited Time’s Up, the organization and movement dedicated to addressing sexual harassment and the systematic inequalities and injustices in the workplace.
From 3 PM that day the hotel driveway and front entrance was closed to the public, with hotel guests having to be escorted by staff through alternate entrances. Jay’s design team overhauled the garage with a Monte Carlo-theme, featuring custom Armand de Brignac craps, poker and blackjack tables manned by croupiers flown in from Las Vegas.
Upon arrival to the fête the 150 VIP guests were given custom Stance socks (the rapper was an early investor in the company) and Chateau Marmont slippers to change into after a long awards evening. Waiters then welcomed them with flutes of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold champagne, poured from the rare six-liter methusaleh bottles. The champagne supply was of course endless. Jay’s longtime friend DJ Kid Capri provided the soundtrack for the evening, as well as surprise sets by his 4:44 collaborator No I.D. and local resident Drake.
Invitations to the exclusive, paparazzi-free party were delivered last minute to ensure secrecy, and read “No sitting, only dancing”—heeding this rule during their time there included Jordan Peele, Dave Chappelle, Kareem Burke, Elon Musk, Diddy, Naomi Campbell, Stevie Wonder, Michael B. Jordan, Quincy Jones, Nicki Minaj, Kobe Bryant, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tiffany Haddish, Danai Gurira, Marcus Henderson, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Rihanna, Lena Waithe, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, Shonda Rhimes, Whoopi Goldberg, Usher, DJ Khaled, Jordan Peele, Angela Bassett, Salma Hayek, Jamie Foxx, Amber Heard, Janelle Monáe, La La Anthony, Kevin Hart, French Montana, Lisa Bonet, Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis, Lil Rel and Nick Jonas.
The event’s decadent roving menu was designed by the three Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Humm, who is the co-owner of the famed Eleven Madison Park, NoMad New York, NoMad Los Angeles and Made Nice. Hov has been a longtime supporter and fan of Humm, he is a regular guest of the rapper at his concerts and last year The Carters had him cater their 10th wedding anniversary celebrations. His service at the Gold Party included an interactive raw bar with oysters, caviar and black truffle cheese toast, fried chicken and biscuits with hot sauce, and burgers and fries. At 1:30 AM an order of 36 pizzas were delivered by the nearby Joe’s Pizza.

JAY-Z, Michael B. Jordan and Beyoncé, photographed at the actor’s 32nd birthday dinner at the 1920s-inspired Delilah restaurant in West Hollywood by Lenny Santiago on February 8. Hov is wearing a Planes Crown and an Off-White™ c/o Jean-Michel Basquiat hoodie ($740).
Fellow guests at the party included Meek Mill, Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith, Roc Nation lawyer Ryan Shaffer, Drake, Terrence J, Tank, Machine Gun Kelly, Zendaya, Tyga, Amber Rose and Steelo Brim.
Since opening in 2016 the supper club has attracted a number of big name diners looking for a Roaring Twenties experience, including Hov and B. In October 2018 The Carters and their friends Kelly Rowland and Tim Weatherspoon shared a child-free evening together there.
Hov and Beyonce first met Michael B. Jordan when he approached and introduced himself to them at the 2014 Met Gala. In a February 2018 interview on “Hot Ones” the actor revealed he “was nervous, but I knew I had to go up to [Jay Z] to pay him his respect for the influence he had on my life with his music, and as a Black man and in business.” In February 2017 he had the chance to speak with Hov again when he sat next to The Carters at the 66th NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans. The Californian had played a role in the game’s opening “Evolution of Greatness” show orchestrated by The Roots, and it was when he saw Jay sitting courtside that he “knew I had to come hard” in his monologue—it was intended to be spoken word, but he decided to instead rap it in front of the GOAT.
In December 2017 Michael played a starring role in the Ava DuVernay-directed visual film for Hov’s 4:44 track “Family Feud.” In the piece Jordan plays the part of a treacherous brother seeking the throne, murdered by the lover (Trevante Rhodes) of his sister (Thandie Newton). He also appeared in the album’s “Footnotes” series; speaking on systematic racism for “The Story of O.J.” and revealing in the accompaniment to “4:44″ that his biggest fear is not ever having a love like his parents and instead being alone.
