And somehow all of you then find me. And ask me for advice. I’ve considered writing a big long advice guide for this and finally, here it is! Buy a pair of Pleasers . Pleasers is the brand of high heel every credible stripper in the world wears. They’re made for strippers/to be danced in while still looking sexy af. Don’t get the off brand shit, get the real thing. It’s cheapest on amazon, but some sex shops sell them and give discounts if you mention you’re a stripper, especially in strip-friendly cities. Work Out. More than that. You’re going to be working, and that means dancing, for 8 hour shifts. You need to prepare your body for that kind of lifestyle.Stripping *will change your body*, so change your attitude now to make that transition easier. Squats are your friend. Call around. Google clubs in your area and find out who’s hiring, and how to audition there. Visit if you can for a night (and tip the dancers!), watch a few sets, maybe buy a private dance, and ask the girls what it’s like to work there. Tip them for their time though, don’t be a mooch. If you’re in a strip club, and you’re not working, you should be tipping. Watch Tutorials. Look up lapdance how-tos, basic pole dance, stripping guides, and floor routines . Learn some tricks that you can do that flatter you. If you can, practice on a pole in a studio or at a friends. The first time I ever touched a pole was my audition though, and I did just fine, so don’t stress if you can’t get stage practice. Just relax, work out, stretch every day, and practice the moves you see on youtube. Ask questions at your audition. Do girls here get lockers? Do you have to rent them or are they free? What are the costume requirements? Can you finger yourself onstage? Can you use anal plugs, whips, or props during your sets? Can you negotiate dance prices or are they set in stone? How much is tip out? Be careful who you befriend. Not all the girls in strip clubs are nice. Some of them will be very mean, manipulative, partake in illegal activities, will try to steal from you, will try to scam you , will pressure you or put you in danger, or will put you, for any number of other reasons, at risk. Be cautious and trust your gut. Don’t Get Drunk at Work. A shot to calm the nerves is fine, but drunk = sloppy = loosing money = loosing business . Plus, men will notice and try to take advantage. Drink water instead! You’re dancing, after all. Hydration is important. Your muscles and skin will thank you. Don’t blow all your hard-earned money on clothes and shoes for work. After a while, you’ll learn men will buy these things for you anyway. Once you have the basics - a couple of g-strings, a pair of heels, a top (Even a t-shirt cut off will do) , and maybe some stockings or booty shorts will do you just fine. Replace things as needed, and occasionally splurge or stock up, but don’t be tempted. So many girls spend half their money every night for the first week on new clothes. It’s a waste. You’re going to only wear your favorites anyway. “What’s tip out?” Tip out is how much you give to the DJ, bouncers, bartender, etc at the end of every shift. Sometimes it’s a flat rate, sometimes it’s a percentage of what you make over all. BE SURE TO ASK, it’s different regionally and in every club. Also, be sure to bring a small bag or purse to carry around with you to collect money in throughout the night. Some girls just carry in their garters and wrap it up with a rubber band to keep it secure, but I don’t think that seems secure tbh. Finally, remember: Never, ever let the opinions of men define you. They mean nothing. You are a queen. Now go make that cash.
