How Wolfwood let himself be the person he always wanted to be thanks to Vash

I wanna talk about how, though Wolfwood pointed his gun at Vash many times and called him "a monster," he never left his side. Even when those people started throwing stones, and the whole GHG was against him because he had chosen Vash, Wolfwood never left his side. What started like a job ended like a beautiful friendship. Though Wolfwood had secrets, and he eventually told Vash who he was, Vash still didn't want him to go.

The simple "Come on, Wolfwood, let's go." is enough for me to know that Vash always had seen him as a friend. He never wanted Nick to leave, though he was scared of attachment, he really didn't want to lose people around him. I believe that if anything was truly hard for Vash, then it was leaving people behind, yet for their safety, he sent everyone away, the girls too.

With Wolfwood, it was simply impossible. He would rather be there in Wolfwood's last days than watch him go.

What is truly impressive is that all it took for Wolfwood was to have Vash by his side and watch him interact with people. The ice he wrapped his heart into slowly started melting. He played the devil he never was. Wolfwood was a victim, just like Vash. They both had their ways how to cope with their loss, but in the end, they found common ground. I absolutely love their dynamics. It brings peace to one's heart to know that Wolfwood died proud of himself by the side of his friend. It's also refreshing to see how Wolfwood influenced Vash when he fought with Legato.

Sometimes, you have to become the devil, but it doesn't mean you have to play that role your whole life.

I want vash to have more funky little plant quirks. photosynthesizing, getting misted, wrapping around stuff like a vine.

vash wrapping around ww all the time like the little viney plant he is. wolfwood desides to give vash a taste of his own medicine and crush the clingy asshole.

haha! I've caught you! how do you like it? not so freakin great huh? - what- vash?

vash passes right out. dead asleep. glowing and purring and the whole nine yards.

wolfwood puts vash in a joking headlock one time and ruffles his hair and vash just goes limp. all floppy and sleepy and glowing and blushing. it's the plant off button.

wolfwood starts weaponizing it. vash is being annoying? hug induced nap. vash is being self deprecating? sleepy time.

turning him off and back on again. factory reset.
