there are genuinely multiple people in my inbox right now trying to tell me that one direction wasn’t and will never be as successful as harry’s solo career and i feel as though i’m living in a simulation like. 1D’s collective power is unlike anything fandom culture and social media had ever seen when they were active, and it is literally studied in media textbooks. a reunion of this band would be unlike any reunion in the history of pop culture due to this unprecedented strength they hold as a presence in the entertainment industry. despite the massive fanbase they had as a group, with seven years worth of building each member has done with their solo careers, their individual fanbases will also weave into this reunion just to see their favorite member and get content from them while converting many to 1D fans in the process. there’s no universe where one direction’s reunion doesn’t absolutely overtake social media, dominate news and entertainment, and break ticket sale records. and to see people seriously, legitimately try and tell me that one of their solo careers holds more strength and power than this supergroup did and always will? your post-hiatus is showing and it’s embarrassing. also, from the bottom of the stairs to the top of the charts? one band one dream one direction, bitch

its been so long since I've posted something actually personal to my tumblr. nearly 6 years since I was religiously on this account. I'm 26 now and this is one of the first posts I see and I am stunned. This is me right now. I live alone and I have 4 chairs at my table, I have jars of candy all throughout the place because it's cute to have a lemonheads in a glass yellow bowl. I want my place to be the place people want to come over to and want to come back. And I love it. I'm very happy right now. And I just wanted to recognize this moment for myself. Okay thank you for reading this if you got this far. I hope something good happens to you today

I want a home mostly just to welcome people into it. There will be bowls of candy for guests, and the cookie jar is full. I’ll always say “I was just about to make a coffee/tea/cocoa, would you like one?” when somebody walks in. There’s lemonade and iced tea made fresh on hot days. Once it hits That Hour and they start saying they really should be going, I’ll remind them that the futon is always open, and I’m making cinnamon rolls tomorrow. There’s champagne and sparkling juice hidden on a high shelf just in case somebody announces their engagement or their pregnancy or their new job while they’re here. There is an extra chair in the living room, at the table, and on the deck, and it’s for you. I want to be able to say “if you’re ever in trouble, come to me.”
