Writing original fiction is suuuuuchhhhh a thankless task in the beginning. Especially when none of it is published yet. At least when you write fanfic you get some kudos and if you’re lucky, a couple comments. I’ve been carrying this entire project on my back and ooohhhhh it’s overwhelming. Especially because I don’t have friends who talk to me about my writing so it’s not like I get validation that way.
