My favorite quote from my favorite book
“Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering. When they were ten, he asked her to marry him. When they were eleven, he kissed her for the first time. When they were thirteen, they got into a fight and for three weeks, they didn’t talk. When they were fifteen, she showed him the scar on her left breast. Their love was a secret they told no one. He promised her he would never love another girl as long as he lived. What if I die? she asked. Even then, he said.” -The History of Love by Nicole Krauss

As a sign of my adulthood, I will now watch Beauty and the Beast while reading articles for my literature review.

I said anything I wanted because I don’t believe in children I don’t believe in childhood. I don’t believe that there’s a demarcation. ‘Oh you mustn’t tell them that. You mustn’t tell them that.’ You tell them anything you want. Just tell them if it’s true. If it’s true you tell them.

If you look to your right you will see a bunch of half naked people. They thought they were being really clever by placing the relaxation spa with full windows under the bridge to avoid traffic. Of course, they conveniently forgot the plentiful boats and tours passing every five minutes. Some days it’s good, some days it’s not. One time time was so good we turned around and went back for a second view!

And when you see me,
jump into my waiting arms,
kiss my lonely lips.

Missing the Eau C.
I miss my home. I miss Eau Claire and all the people that made it home. I miss seeing my best friends daily and being a short walk or drive away from all of the people I hold so dear.
I've been gone for a month or so now and I really miss it.
So thank goodness for Skype. Thank goodness for texting. I've done this separation thing before and I can make it. We will visit and laugh over Facebook and provide a destination for our best friends to visit us (if they ever wanted to.) I trust that I have the types of friendships and relationships that will last.
That thought makes me happy and excited for the future.

The older I get the more I realise there are no grown ups and nobody knows what the fuck they’re doing.
