Glad to remember I was my casual, rakish, charming self from the beginning 😅 but I had no idea how much this one, @idreamofticklehugs, would get in my head and turn me into a mushy, bashful boyfriend. My first relationship, and better than I could’ve ever imagined. These three months have been my happiest in a long, long time. And, on the whole, she deserves the credit.

When I first started making my audios, I never imagined people would be as interested and supportive as they have been. But I certainly never imagined that those audios would lead me to the most amazing relationship I’ve ever been in. Also known as a Crinoid, these little critters can have up to 180 arms, depending on the species. Each with a long, fanned-out set of feather-like feelers.

But don’t they just look like some kind of primal, Lovecraftian tickling creature? The original beast from which all tickle monsters sprang? Imagine this fluffed-out, biblically-accurate-angel-looking sea creature fluttering over the stomach of your favorite lee and tell me it doesn’t deserve to be our mascot.

Lers, we deserve aftercare. Even if it comes in second — after we care for our lees — it’s just as important. Don’t be pushy, but don’t be afraid to ask if it doesn’t come naturally to them. It will make your relationship even stronger.

Remember that you’re human, too!

Aftercare goes both ways

I’ve seen a couple of posts mentioning this recently and have been thinking about it a lot. Lers need aftercare too. They’re working overtime paying attention and adjusting their techniques to what works best for the Lee. Now, obviously at the beginning, the Lee needs helping coming down. Lee aftercare is also very important. But after, the Ler needs to be taken care of too. Cuddle them back; play with their hair; massage their hands. Tell them how much fun you had; how great they are as a Ler; something they did that you really liked. Tickling is a lot of trust and connection on both ends. Whether you’re a Ler or a Lee, make sure your aftercare goes both ways.

I don’t want to get involved in Tumblr controversies. I’m not calling anyone out. But yes. I’ve gotten the anon messages, too.

My recommendation: IGNORE

Delete. Brush aside. These anons sending hateful or offensive asks (and, potentially, the anons accusing a specific page of said hate) need to NOT be given any attention. They are trolls. They are discord-spreaders. If they’re afraid to display their name in their attacks, then they’re unworthy of a response. Keep them in the darkness, and they might wither. Bring them out into the light, they will grow. They thrive on controversy.

Don’t respond to their asks. Delete. Don’t repost on your page. Delete. Don’t waste your time on stupidity penned by people who have nothing better to do with their lives. Delete.
