Front of my design. I created a ligature with my initials to form more of a logo so it became more obvious which was the front and back of my designs.

Portfolio Development:
I decided to create my portfolio on Indesign also as it is easy to use and after attending Adobe training at university I became very familiar with how to maintain consistency through master pages and grid systems.

Professional Development

Business Card Designs -
Using Photoshop, I experimented with creating a marble effect background to base my professional development around as it reflects high quality. I then created my design in Indesign as this allows me to create a back and a front for when I come to print my design. I will be using the same theme (colours, typefaces, shapes) throughout my portfolio, business cards, CV and any other self branding I do to maintain consistency.

After playing around with typefaces, I decided to edit my own sketch that I scanned in and felt this worked better with the style of the other elements.

Typeface Development

Before taking to the computer, I thought it was important to sketch some possible typeface designs. As my cover will follow the concept of space, I decided to try and create a 3D effect typeface as it would stand out to the reader.

Wonder by R.J Palacio.

The best way to get inspiration. I’ve seen the film but I wanted to read through the book to see how it compares, although they are both very similar there are small differences. As I will be designing the book cover, I thought I needed to buy the book to read it for myself and see what feeling it gives. There are a lot of emotions like sympathy but also happiness and it is definitely an inspiring read.
