In this psychodrama, Luz struggles to care for her mother, Palma, a former soap opera star. Set in a unknown, futuristic time on a small island off of Puerto Rico, rebels are seeking out Palma, who was blinded in a military test, to be the face of their revolution. Luz, who is allergic to the sun, must always wear a body suit when outside, and longs for the sun’s warm and freedom from her mother’s time capsule of a home. She controls her lonely environment in the kitchen, where she basks in the computer generated sun rays.

An animated short film in production, drawn, modeled, animated and edited by myself. The story is based on the first chapter of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman, in which one night a child’s family is murdered. Despite the murderer’s efforts, the child escapes by retreating to the graveyard up the hill from his house. There he is found, saved and then raised by its dead inhabitants.

Sam, a typical teenage boy, is dangerously close to falling asleep at the wheel. This causes the Control Room inside of his brain to go into a state of emergency. While the office struggles to find a way to keep Sam awake and from crashing, which would bring an end to their world, Richard, the newest office employee is sent to Boredom, a location deep in Sam’s brain. Suddenly, the responsibility to save Sam falls on Richard, and with the help of a new acquaintance and ex- Chief Executive of Imagination, Holly, he must find a way to make Sam not bored.
