Covering Letter
A cover letter is a document you send with your CV (traditionally as the front cover).
However, it differs from a CV in that instead of being a written overview of your skills and experience, it’s specifically written with the job you’re applying for in mind – allowing you to highlight certain areas you think would make you right for the role.
Much like a CV, there is no one-size-fits-all format when it comes to writing a cover letter.
However, the layout will say a lot about your approach, and your overall attention to detail. For that reason, it definitely isn’t something that should be underestimated.
To make sure what you write is logical, to the point and easy to read, here are some key rules to follow for your cover letter:
Be clear and concise
Keep paragraphs short and direct
Back up any statements you make with facts & figures
Choose a professional font
Check spelling and grammar

creative Cv
Your CV will be your first communication with a potential employer. As it’s highly likely that your CV will be one of many vying for attention, the golden rule is: make yours stand out.
Having a traditional format has one obvious drawback: it will probably look similar to a hundred other CVs that pass through the recruiter’s hands. That means you have to let the information and your experience speak for itself.
What a good Creative CV should include is It should tell them about you, your professional history and your skills, abilities and achievements. Ultimately, it should highlight why you're the best person for the job. A CV is required when applying for a job.
What you should not include in your cv, An objective that makes no sense or is completely insane,Irrelevant job experience,Irrelevant job experience,A physical description,Proper hobby listing,Bad grammar.

Pictures, videos and audio recordings are added to the typical paper and pencil tasks.alternative modes of expression and means to demonstrate learning. This can lead to increases in self-confidence and achievement.allow students to track and demonstrate their growth over longer periods of time. While paper portfolios get stored or discarded at the end of a term or school year, digital portfolios can remain available and easily accessible to students, parents, and educators.

This is a good way to showcase your work due to having a physical evidence copy and can be taken to interviews act easily.
3 different online platforms to showcase your photographic work
wordpress- WordPress can be used as a simple blog, a portfolio, an eCommerce store or a complex business site. As such, the pros and cons of WordPress stem from the same point: WordPress has a lot of options. There are thousands of templates and plug-ins to wade through, which is awesome if you have a specific vision of what you want, but the choices can be overwhelming if you’re looking for something straightforward.
Flickr mostly revolves around photography, though it's also open to both digital and traditional drawings. Like 500px and DeviantArt, Flickr has a very neat gallery system that is easy to navigate. It has a messaging system called Flickr mail, which makes communication very easy. Thanks to this mailing system, it's possible to contact many noteworthy photography magazines on the website which could increase your chances of getting job opportunities and recognition. This form of communication also makes it easy to connect with artists you admire.
Instagram is known for phoneography, many professional photographers have begun to use the successful app as a portfolio. Instagram is the neatest and most organized. Viewing profiles is easy on the eyes thanks to the square format. in addition to tagging, users can send each other direct messages to express their admiration, offer project ideas, or simply ask a question. It's also possible to unsend messages and send pictures using this system.
costs involved in producing your own portfolio
costs involved in creating your own portfolio depends on how you wish to do it. There is a lot of free online portfolio websites that will allow you to create your one digital portfolio for free such as wix, smug mug act. Having a physical copy could cost you anything from £10-£30 depending on what you include and how you present it, with cots for buying a folder and then having individual photos printed at high quality to place in your folder or the images being printed straight into a book version the costs for this depend on the size you would like.

Retouch

the meaning behind retouch photography is to improve an image with new touches, highlights or to rework and image. this is mostly done with photoshop to change colours, airbrush or montage an image together. Doing it with a negative you can highlight areas that need more light, less light , removing lines ect. This is a useful skill to have as you can rework images or create an image from numerous images. The first image shows a simple retouch to the face using airbrush to neaten the image up. The 4th image is a very different image and is too images of the base being a car and the second top later being a alligator and is made to make you think that the alligator is a car which could indicate that the car is vicious. Retouching is done to make an image more high profile and a lot of online shops have this done to there product photos in order to sell the product better.

Commercial Photography

commercial photography means taking photos for commercial use. And by commercial we mean for business, for sales, for money. Commercial photography is often associated with advertisements, sales pitches, brochures, product placements as well as merchandising. The first image is highlighting the coat that the model is wearing, the rest of the image is pretty much very vage while the lighting is highlighting the coat as its main subject and this is what comes to your attention first. This is similar to the tennis photo you can clearly see the nike tick on the wristband which could indicate the use of advertisement for nike. The watch photo shows plainly the watch and the brand of watch it is very well lit and having the watch face based inside of a shape is what brings your attention to the photo and this is the main aim that they are trying to achieve when selling something they want you to look at the object. On alot of commercial photography you notice the dark backgrounds this is so that you can focus on the object that the suppliers are selling.

UAL Fashion Photography

These images are all fashion based photography , from all different perspectives , although mostly they are studio based , studio based shows that the lighting has been done correctly to make the image sharpe and detailed, photoshop has been used to create a before and after to show how the image was developed using airbrush to make the image smoother and neater while keeping a realistic look about it, another image is similar to this showing a studio set up with a final image show on then computer, this again is showing your development of how you got the images and knowledge of what your studio could look like, this also shows your studio knowledge and that you know how to work well in a studio. The montage of the combined photo of a woman face and cat is two photos together with the woman wearing cat ears and the cat in the photo this is where the photos show resemblance. What this is showing is that you can combine together photos and another photoshop skill. Another way off showing a range of skills is doing a shoot on location and having the lighting focusing on the subject this instantly bring your attention to the model.Clothes and fashions are enhanced by the presence of exotic locations or accessories.
