Courtney vacating the table out of shame is already so good. But coupled with Trevor attempting to power through the intro despite his clear confusion as everyone else dies from laughter....
+ Courtney clearly reliving past shames in VIVID detail 馃槶 couuuurt askfjajfnd
i reaaally feel like max is super infantilized in the fandom and it weirds me out. i dont think its bad to like horrible characters. But with max people actively act like hes this super redeemable guy? but he isnt in the slightest 馃槶 he sexually harrasses grace but people tend to gloss over that. Like this fandom has a baddd misogyny problem (which feels extra crazy cuz starkid has some really well-written and nuanced female characters?) and it really shows with the treatment of max
a lot of you act like hes an angel cuz he has Two lines that might imply a bad homelife like hes not a massive pos. and again i think its good to analyze characters i just get so annoyed at how hes treated as even a slightly good guy. like i guarantee you people wouldnt like him or look nearly as deeply into him if he was a girl... like we see grace waaay more than him but yall treat her so one dimensionally 馃槶 like (at least in the wider fandom) grace is just seen as some religious freak while max? oh, his dads mean to him! he deserves a better life :( and thats just one example... i almost never see any analysis of female characters in hf while a man can have a few throwaway lines w/ something vaguely angsty and people fawn over them and give them loads of depth from that alone. usually while the women have more content tew. i think the post about fandoms approaching male characters from a watsonian perspective and female characters from a doylist perspective rings especially true in the sk fandom its Crazyyy 馃槙馃槙 soz for the word vomit 馃槬 i hope i worded this right
(BUT i havent interacted with the fandom as much recently, things mightve changed. still i dont think it negates my point that much)
