dragon age inquisition is only valid for the bit where you have to fight all these spiders named after different fears and you get to the last one and it’s called ‘ironically, spiders’

As much as I love Dragon Age Inquisition, I do have a critique of it that I’m sure many might agree on.
I would have rather had the game be all of the war table missions instead of all of the exploring we do. I would rather be defending my own clan in the Free Marches and Wycome than picking Elfroot and mining for Iron in the Hinterlands. I wanted to go to Denerim to remove the venatori agent from Alistair’s/Anora’s court. I wanted to locate Tyrdda’s Bright-Axe. I wanted to investigate the fraud using Varric’s name for books he didn’t write. I wanted to help my friends in the mercenary squad Adaar was part of. I wanted to save the king of Nevarra, investigate the chalk markings, investigate Hunter Fell, and play Truth or Dar in the imperial court. I wanted to personally attend ceremonies or services. I wanted to personally rescue Rhys and Evangeline and escort mages across the Waking Sea and protect them from Templars or others who want to harm them. Doing all of these war table missions would have been a hundred times more fun and exciting than exploring and gathering trivial things in the Hissing Wastes or the Storm Coast.
Sutherland and his crew? It would have been very fun if there was a mission with yourself and companions and you had to work with Sutherland and his companions to reach something or fight something.
Sure, we could have still had missions in those places, but I would have rather had just those missions and not all of the exploring. That’s one reason why I like Origins so much. Nearly the whole game it’s feels like you are actually progressing and the stakes always feel high. I don’t get that feeling a significant amount of time while playing Inquisition.
I really hope BioWare thinks about this for DA4.

dragon age inquisition playthrough but its just me doing all the weird and creepy side quests that contribute absolutely nothing to the plot but just make you go,, “huh,,” highlights include:
the haunted chateau where that noble family locked up their little mage girl and tried to hide her magic and things turned out Much Worse than in Frozen
escorting LORD WOOSLY,, a good and fluffy friend described as a “veRY SPECIAL ram,,”–demon. its actually a demon. you don’t know that unless you attack it but if you accidentally do, surprise!! demon,,
JUDGING A BEAR FOR HIS CRIMES??
Fun scavenger hunt where you find severed body parts that scream with the souls of the damned,,
hopping on a rock until you upset an otherwordly being and its disgruntled, disembodied voice tells you its Great Secrets. Following its instructions, you then crawl behind a tiny cave and recieve a flower crown

Meet my oc, Nimue, a Tal Vashoth mage who lives in a Carnvial telling fortunes and healing the sick.  Her massive horns and her ability to spit fire and lava has earned her the nickname of “Dragon Woman”.

Fael Lavellan is many things.
Dalish elf. Runaway. Herald of Andraste. Inquisitor. The savior of the sky. Charming and kind, a fierce battle mage and astute politician. A friend of the Empress, of the King, of the Viscount.
But he is a mask of many faces.
Razor sharp smirks that don’t betray feelings. Performative politeness and charm that feels like a spiderweb, if you pay enough attention. He’s calculated mercy, and calculated ruthlessness. He’s being in control of everything at all times, so you know what to expect.
He’s eyes set always and only forward, whether the trail behind him is ashes or blooming flowers.  He’s precise thunder and wild fire. And cold, cold fury.
Few know that
He’s the curiosity that did not kill the cat He’s deep, warm love for this world and its wonders, people included. Believing anyone had potential to be great Walking among trees and imagining a grand palace. Walking among ruins and imagining the lives they saw. Working to bring reality into that imagination. He’s climbing on the top of the tallest tree and breathe in the world. He’s mischief and jokes and romance books hidden in the bedroll. He’s ramblings and giggles and wide, toothy smiles.
But under all of it
He’s still the wide eyed, shaking boy holding his brother’s torn throat to try and keep him from bleeding out.
And it would be a lie to say that that fear didn’t guide many of his future actions.
