adoption scenario:

(If a leaguer wanted to adopt Billy, he’d just show them his birth certificate)

Billy:thanks for showing me how to use a modern phone (insert friend from 21st century)! But I wonder, where is the tv remote for changing the youtube channel? And Where is the news?

(Friend from the 21st century):*sighs* it’s so over

4. Old friends

Aside from the fawcett city heroes, Billy in this case probably relates more to the older heroes like wildcat, Alan scott or Jay Garrick, maybe they have multiple team ups in the past and would reminiscent over it (the rest having their favorite drinks while Billy preferring his hot chocolate ice cream)

5. Teasing

The younger hero teams who know his identity would teasingly call him a “boomer”, Billy wanted to protest that he technically was born before boomers but they ignored it and still teased him about it.

to the rest of the heroes who didn’t know about his identity, they assume captain marvel is more than centuries old, and thinks this is the reason the kid heroes calls him a boomer.

6. Jokes

Billy: “oh so these memes are like what replaces comic strips i used to read, how nice”

Some of these ideas are taken from the fanfics i’ve written, some just came to me inside my head, but it’s fun to think about it.

I am utterly besotted with ‘Damian gets a pocket’! And getting to reread the snippet of Tim asking if Damian’s Named his pocket yet when a few paragraphs later we establish that the ONLY name that Damian could possibly consider calling his pocket is ‘Beloved’ unless there’s a serious objection on not-Billy’s part!

Damian turning around his league training on ID-ing a pocket’s origin as a pressure point in order to find his clearly Not-Exactly-Okay Soulmate is a lovely thing to read, too.

Billy must be having a fucking heart attack while trying to figure out how to look after a tiny, stubborn, prideful and stoic little pocket who would Fight God on his behalf.

Thank you, I was surprised by how much everybody seems to like that one, but definitely pleased! I got the idea for the fic from @dcmainlybillythoughts, they showed me a real cute sketch of Damian with a Pocket!Billy that they were working on and it just AWAKENED something in me, haha.

Damian: obviously there is only one name worthy of this Pocket who I am assassin-detecting the origins of. Pocket Billy, too busy swooning to even consider any objections, but definitely going to blush like HECK every time he gets called his name: SQUEAK!!

Elsewhere Billy is still just trying to extricate Pocket!Damian from Tawky's ruff with absolutely zero success. Right up until somebody insults him, anyway, at which point he's got a stabby lil' Pocket assassin to contain. POCKET NO WHERE DID YOU EVEN GET A SWORD--

“Damian,” Drake says. “You hate my Pockets. You glare at them all the time and complain whenever they do literally anything, up to and including just existing."  

A Pocket is a vulnerability and the most undeniable possible Achilles’s heel, and yours are so very, very obvious, and on top of that you have THREE of them, Damian does not say. 

“Nevertheless, their assistance is required,” he does say.

Omg I love Damian with a pocket already! Is it too late to ask for more?

“Uh,” Drake says, still frowning. “Okay . . . ? Guys–” 

Ringer pops up over one of Drake’s shoulders; Favor over the other. Warning appears in his hair in a blur of speed. Presumably Ringer or Favor carried him over again. Typically one of them does. 

All three of them look excited, which is . . . not typical behavior, in Damian’s presence. 

Understandably, he thinks. But he expects that means they know why he is currently in Drake’s room, even if Drake himself does not. 

It’s unclear what Pockets know, sometimes, but clearly Drake’s are aware that he is not currently concealing a kitten against his chest.

Damian gets a pocket, please!!!

Damian glowers at him. Drake does not look enlightened. Ringer, fortunately, is already cuddling the Pocket in his lap among the pillows while Favor wraps him up tighter in Ringer’s jacket and Warning stacks up a very high tower of snacks next to him. The Pocket is basking shyly under the attention and seems pleased, which is–also fortunate, Damian thinks. 

Pockets represent a person’s sense of self. For one to manifest in this condition . . . 

For one to manifest bruised . . .

It’s not very typical, for a Pocket to manifest bruised.

Damian gets a Pocket!!! Please!

There’s a tiny Pocket leaning forward over the side of his pillow and grinning brightly at him. It’s male-presenting; skinny and bony and wearing a heavy red hoodie and baggy dark jeans. Ethnically white, with black hair, blue eyes, and lightly tanned skin. It looks . . . twelve, perhaps, at the oldest, and is the smallest Pocket that Damian has ever seen in person. 

It has a bruise underneath its right eye and scratched-up knuckles. Its sweatshirt is dirty and its jeans are ripped, and there’s duct tape wrapped around its sneakers. 

And it looks malnourished.

Who is your favorite Shazam/Captain Marvel villain and who is your least favorite?

What a fun question!

It's basic I know, but I think my favorite villain is Dr Sivana. Like he's the quintessential Shazam villain, the first one everyone thinks of, and he's got range as a villain! He's a goofy mad scientist in most versions, but sometimes he is genuinely terrifying. And his relationship with his family members makes him a lot more interesting and dynamic than most Shazam villains.

(As a side note I'm also a big fan of Black Adam and his parallels with Cap but he's not been squarely in villain territory for a long time)

And my least favorite would have to be Captain Nazi. I love watching him get beat up by the Marvels, but he's just not that interesting to me. And he's a nazi so...bottom of the list.

Where is Fawcett City supposed to be exactly?

Hi anon!

So like most things in comics, the answer depends on the continuity!

The most common assumed location for Fawcett City is in the Midwest in either Indiana, Minnesota, or Wisconsin. But it has never been explicitly confirmed.

However in current comic continuity Fawcett is a suburb of Philadelphia, so it would be in Pennsylvania.

When I write about it, I typically go with an ambiguous midwest setting without 100% committing to a specific location because the relative location is more important than the specific location.
