Does anyone genuinely call their siblings sis, sister, little/big sis, bro, brother, little/big brother etc. as constantly as this appears to be portrayed in media? I’m extremely sceptical. Now, affectionally addressing them by something like “slug”, “toad”, “fool”, and “bitch”, or even dare I say it, their gotdamn name, is, from my experience, so much more natural.

[ ✪   ] —- - It was rare that anybody got the drop on North. Was always the other way around; stealth being his specialty, and most of his targets being absolute idiots. They made it so easy, like sheep to the slaughter. He mowed them down without having to lift a finger.

Not these ones. Whoever these scumbags were, they weren’t like the usual lot; trigger happy fools without a thought as to what attention they might attract. These guys were experienced ( ex-UNSC, like himself, he guessed ). They were organized. 

Didn’t stop him, though. 

They were tough sons of bitches, he’d give him that. It was weeks before he’d got his hands on any of them, and once he finally did, they went out with a bang. Took about 15% of his blood with them, having littered him in gashes and bullet holes. Left him a little woozy, but it wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. Once he was through with them, he licked his wounds, got back up. Like he always did. 

Now that that business was over with, he needed a new place to crash. Somewhere to lie low while his body mended itself. Somewhere he could formulate the next move.

A quiet little safe house tucked away where most people didn’t bother to look.

Except, that someone clearly had. This place was stocked to the brim; full of things he didn’t think to encounter. Fresh too, if the lack of dust & occasional markings were any indicator. 

He continued on, unholstering his sidearm as he investigated.

His head swiveled at the sound of movement, and he’d raised his pistol quick, ready to fire--
