URGENT MATTERS - PLEASE READ THIS

Hello friend, I’m in a bit of a bad situation right now and would really appreciate some assistance. You can definitely help without spending any money, so please take a minute to read this post!

What’s going on is that I am expecting a baby in August (though there are a lot of signs to suggest that he will be born at least a couple of weeks early.) His name is Finn and he’s adorable. Here’s a picture:

Obviously that’s an ultrasound, since he won’t be born for 2-3 more months another month at most, so you can’t really see his face or anything. Trust me, though, he’s a cutie. His dad, unfortunately, got on some heavy drugs and took off saying we were never going to hear from him again when I was about four months pregnant and since he’s now completely walked off the face of the earth, I don’t have any second-parent help with this baby. 

I recently moved into a new apartment which is where Finn and I will be living for the first year or so of his life. I have a roommate so rent and utilities aren’t as bad as they could be, but costs of living for myself and an infant are still pretty high for my waitress income alone. I’m fairly certain we’d make it but currently, I’m late enough in pregnancy that I’m physically unable to work and needed to start maternity leave. I’m medically obligated to stay on leave until 6 weeks after Finn’s born, and I’m not quite sure when that’ll be besides “some time in the next month.” That’s a whole lot of time to be away from my job when, realistically, I wasn’t able to save up all that much while I was working anyway.

My saving grace is that I write short (surreal humor) stories which are free to read, but I do take donations and pledges from those readers who are willing and able to contribute. I’ve needed to supplement my income with those in order to survive, especially while my hours were cut by pregnancy. The only problem (besides the fact that they now make up my ENTIRE income) is that my stories and website are still mostly undiscovered and lack of readers/views = lack of donations. 

So please check out my stories and donate if you can, or signal boost and encourage others to do the same. Even if you aren’t personally able to spare anything (and I understand that money’s tight for a lot of people) just visiting the website or spreading the word would help immensely in getting me closer to making enough on donations to afford the basic costs of living, at least up until I’m able to return to my regular job some time between September and October.

If you wouldn’t mind helping out, it would really mean a lot to me (and my baby son, once he’s old enough to understand the concept of gratitude.)

So what you're telling me is that people can identify as a fucking galaxy as their gender, but I can't say I'm a girl some days? Gender fluid isn't entirely about wearing another genders clothes and acting like another gender. It means that sometimes I feel entirely more comfortable with being a girl, but sometimes I want to be a guy. It's not just "I wanna wear makeup and a dress."

There is no “gender spectrum”.

There are boys and girls. There are trans boys and trans girls. There’s no such thing as “genderfluid”. Even intersex people tend to lean one way or the other.

There are masculine women and feminine men. These people may be outliers, but that does not make them “genderfluid”. The idea of a gender spectrum relies heavily on gender roles and for this reason is hurtful to society.
