Chapter 4 || "Johnny will be delighted!"

You heard annoying sound of your alarm clock and groaned.

After a while you tapped your alarm clock so unfortunately that it fell off your bedside table.

You opened your eyes, stretched and then picked up your clock from the floor.

"7.50 am" you frowned "I only have 40 minutes until Ashley arrives so I better get ready"

You quickly chose your outfit and ran to the bathroom.

"Honey, breakfast is ready!" you heard your mom's voice outside the door

"I'm coming!" you shouted back brushing your hair.

After a while you sat down at the table and started eating pancakes.

"Y/N do you know if Daniel is up yet?" you just shrugged and continued eating.

Unexpectedly, you heard the sound of the bathroom door slamming, which made you jump a little.

"Someone's not in the mood today," your mom muttered as she poured herself a cup of coffee and you glanced at the clock in the kitchen.

It was 8.20 am already so you got up from the table to pack your backpack. At the same moment, Daniel left the bathroom and ran to the table.

From your room, you heard your mom asking why Daniel didn't get up for breakfast early and why he is wearing sunglasses.

You went out into the living room and your brother was standing at the front door.

"Daniel, show me your eyes right now!" your mom shouted

Putting on your shoes, you looked at Daniel who took off his glasses. Your eyes widened at the sight.

Daniel had a black eye which was also swollen and a few bruises on his face.

Your mom gasped in horror and ran to Daniel, examining his face.

"Who did this to you?!"

"Nobody! Yesterday I was coming back in the dark and I fell off the bike" and your mom gave him the "I don't believe you" look

"I'm serious! Now, I'm sorry but I have to leave because I'm gonna be late for school" said Daniel

Your mom turned towards you and said

"And why don't you rush to school?" and then someone honked

"That's why" you replied pointing your finger in the direction of the car "yesterday I met a new friend on the beach and she offered me a ride" you came to your mum and gave her a kiss on the cheek "bye and have a nice day"

You ran to the car and got inside where the Bon Jovi Livin'On Prayer song was playing

"Hi, how are you?" Ashley asked and started driving

"If only I could go back to bed and go to sleep" you said buckling the seat belt, "and besides that, I'm a little stressed"

"Stressed? Why?"

"You know... new school, new people and all that stuff"

"Then be glad you got me because, you won't get rid of me that easily," Ashley said and you laughed.

"What about Wild Roses?"

"They are all either younger or older than me so we see each other on breaks or outside of school" she replied as the school appeared in front of your eyes.

"Okay, I see free space nearby" she said as she drove there.

You both got out and grabbed your backpacks. Ashley looked at her watch. "We have 10 more minutes and the lesson will begin, so let's go quickly to the office and get your locker number and code." You nodded and headed in the direction Ashley was leading you.

"Hey girls!" you heard a voice behind you and you both turned around.

In front of you you saw Dutch taking off his helmet and getting off his bike.

Ashley ostentatiously rolled her eyes and grabbed your arm to walk back towards the office. However, Dutch was faster - he ran over to you and started walking backwards in front of you speaking "Who do I see here ?! Isn't that the girl who hit my friend yesterday?" he looked me straight in the eyes

"He deserved it!" you replied and you noticed a strange expression on Dutch's face ... an expression that was definitely not a sign of any good

"Since you are here" he began pointing his finger at you "it means that your stupid brother must be here somewhere too" he added with a devilish smile and you felt the blood drain from your face "Johnny will be delighted!" he rubbed his hands together and ran towards unfamiliar direction

You looked at Ashley and she waved her hand

"We'll deal with him later, now we'd better hurry up because I don't want to have more problems with Mr. Smith than I already have"

You ran to the place where you got your locker number and code. As it turned out, you had a locker near Ashley's. You unpacked your books and at the same moment the bell rang.

You followed Ashley again, who showed you the way to the history classroom.

You entered the room where you immediately felt someone's eyes burning on you.

You looked in that direction and as it turned out - Johnny was looking at you.

His eyesight expressed something like "I'm looking at you just because I want to irritate you with that"

You looked him straight in the eyes, challenging him and Ashley's voice broke your trance

"Sit with me because or I will change my mind" she said jokingly and you joined her

In the next row on your left side was Johnny sitting with a brown haired guy, followed by Dutch and another brown haired guy.

"Not only these assholes are with us in the same school" you whispered through clenched teeth " but now it turns out that they are in the same class with us?!" you whispered irritated and Ashley was already opening her mouth to answer you but a male voice interrupted her.

"Good morning everyone!" said the teacher "As you already know me, we will not waste any time so unpack books and notebooks and I will check the attendance" he added, sitting down at his desk and the class began to unpack.

You sighed softly and grabbed your backpack to do the same and thought, "Wait a minute ... Daniel should be in class with you ... So why don't I see him anywhere?!"

Chapter 3 Cobra Kai assholes

As you continued your conversation with Ashley, you noticed your brother kicking the ball towards the girls sitting with this "princess Ali". After a while, Ali took the ball and ran to Daniel and started flirting with him. You frowned and said:

"What is it about this girl that even my brother sticks to her and smiles like an idiot"

"You know, she's very pretty, popular in school plus she's from "rich kids" which makes her perfect" Ashley said in a tone like she was spitting venom

Suddenly, behind you, you heard the roar of many engines. You and Ashley turned together towards the noise and you heard her saying :

"Shit! It's Cobra kai assholes," she said with even more venom than before. Ashley grabbed your sweatshirt sleeve "We have to go!"

"Why?" you asked "Are you afraid they'll do something to you?" you added as you got up and followed Ashley

"I'm not afraid of them! Just because they call us "karate gangs" doesn't mean we fight for no reason" she said, heading towards our towels

"Then what are we doing here?"

"Pick your stuff, because those dickheads will get the idea to throw them all over the beach like last time" she said, rolling her eyes, "and I'm not thrilled to look for all of my things in the dark"

You nodded your head and started picking up your things, and after a while you heard screams behind

"Give me my radio!" Ali shouted "I said give me my radio!"

You turned towards the noises and noticed from a distance that Ali was jostling with some tall guy

"Okay, I got everything now we can-" Ashley began, but you heard a crack and you both looked in the direction where the sound came from. This tall blond guy smashed Ali's radio and of course Daniel had to cut in.

Daniel picked up the radio and some unpleasant conversation started between him and the blonde, but you were standing too far away to hear what they were saying.

You and Ashley slowly started to get closer to the place, but it was a bit too late - the blonde pushed Daniel to the ground. After a few seconds Daniel stood up ready to fight

"Daniel no!" you screamed but he didn't hear you.

Daniel lunged at the tall guy who quickly dodged and tripped him. When Daniel fell, you dropped your things and started to run.

"Hey asshole!" you shouted but it was too late for the blonde - your fist landed on his nose. The boy stunned, looked at you and then put two fingers to the nostrils where blood from the nose appeared.

You already wanted to run up to Daniel and see if he was okay, but someone behind you grabbed the bends of your arms so that you couldn't move

"Let her go right now, Dutch!" Ashley said with her teeth clenched as she approached

"Or what?" you turned your head to look at him "you will kick my ass?!" you looked towards Daniel who was just getting up from the ground "you know our sensei have a deal that we can't fight except the tournament" he said laughing slyly and Ashley clenched her fists "well unless you want to be kicked out of your dojo babe" you frowned "babe?"

"How many times have I told you don't call me babe you-" Ashley didn't finish because this time you screamed seeing the tall blonde going to fight Daniel again

"Leave my brother alone you douchebag!" but your screams were for nothing, Daniel managed to kick the guy in the calf and he kicked him back in the stomach, which made Daniel stumble back

"You are such a pussy!" the blonde shouted "your sister smashed my nose and you can't even throw one strong  punch!"

"Johnny stop!" Ali screamed

"I'm not doing anything!"

Ashley and Dutch continued arguing with each other, and Daniel started running (which was once again a mistake) and Johnny "presented" him with a series of kicks that knocked him to the ground for the 3rd time that night.

Johnny started arguing with Ali again and you took advantage of Dutch's inattention, broke free from his grip and ran to Daniel.

"Daniel, are you okay?" you asked in a worried tone

"Leave me alone!" he growled and out of the corner of your eye you noticed Cobra Kai assholes getting on their bikes and driving away.

Daniel got up and dusted himself off the sand and limped home.

"I hate them so much" Ashley sighed "are you okay?" she asked putting her hand on your shoulder

"Yes" you replied "I'm more worried about Daniel because he got beaten up by that... Johnny guy?" you said hesitantly

Ashley sighed again "Johnny Lawrence is the leader of this group of guys from Cobra kai that you've just seen..." she said, handing you your bag "and Ali was his girlfriend..."

"Was?"

"They broke up ... or rather Ali broke up with him because he forgot about her birthday and got drunk with the Cobras that day" you headed towards the parking lot

"Where do you live?" she asked

"Not far away from here actually"

"I can give you a lift but write me the name of the street on a piece of paper so that we don't get lost" she said

"Are you sure it won't be a problem?"

"Of course not!" she said, turning the key and opening the door. You both got in and fastened your seat belts.

"Continuing" she said as she started the car, "they broke up quite recently, so today seeing your brother hitting on Ali got Johnny really pissed off" you rolled your eyes but didn't say anything. Who knows what you would do for that girl who was sticking to your ex boyfriend - Sean if you had stayed a while longer at that party. You spent the rest of the drive in silence until you reached your home

"Thank you for the ride" you said with a slight smile "First day here and I'm already exhausted" Ashley giggled

"You know, I can pick you up tomorrow if you want"

"Oh, you are my savior" you said in a funny voice

Ashley laughed and said "Then I'll pick you up around 8.30 am" you nodded and unbuckled your seat belt

"I'm so glad I met you Ashley" you said as you got out of the car "Thanks again for the ride and see you tomorrow" You closed the door and waved and Ashley did the same.

You silently opened the gate and climbed the stairs. You entered the house silently and made your way to your room. You glanced to the right - a light was on in Daniel's room.

"I won't disturb him today" you thought and opened the door to your room. You looked at your watch.

It was almost 2 am!

You quickly grabbed your towel and pajamas.

"In a few hours my first day at the new school will begin and I'm pretty sure I'll come there sleeping with one eye opened" you thought, taking your clothes off and stepping into the shower.

After a while you wrapped yourself in a towel and started brushing your teeth, then changed into your pajamas and tiptoed to your room.

You jumped under the covers and turned off the bedside lamp.

"I wonder if the day at school will be that crazy as events on the beach" you closed your eyes slowly and immediately fell asleep.

Chapter 2 Wild Roses

You felt someone touch your shoulder, chasing away your thoughts.

You turned your head away from the window and looked at your twin brother.

"We've already arrived, time to get out" said Daniel then got out of the car and you looked around.

,,Hello my new home" you thought

You took off your headphones and got out of the car, grabbing your things in boxes and headed for the gate.

"Eeeyah!" you heard a scream behind you and turned abruptly to the direction the sound was coming from.

As it turned out, it was Daniel who opened the gate with a kick and did not notice that there was a dark-haired boy behind the gate. You smirked and waved your head disapprovingly as Daniel helped the boy up and apologized over and over.

"Ah, Daniel and his amazing ability to attract problems wherever he goes" you thought as you continued going up the stairs.

You walked to the door your mom was already holding for you and looked around at your new "apartment"

Cracked walls in various places, paint peeling off and old chairs looking like they are about to fall apart.

"This place is terrible" you thought

"but we can't afford anything better, so we have to be glad that we have a roof over our heads at all"

"Honey your room is on the left, there you can put your things out" said your mom

Your room was tiny and painted in ugly yellow paint.

"Maybe when I put posters on every wall it won't look so bad" you thought

as you set the boxes out and went for more.

"Hey Y/N!" you heard Daniel's voice behind you

"What do you waaaant" you said lazily

"Freddy invited me to the beach today and maybe-" Daniel began to say

"Who?"

"Freddy ... that boy I accidentally knocked down with the gate"

"Oooh okay ... you know that once we took a few karate lessons, it doesn't mean we can kick all the people around" you said with a sly smile

"You know I didn't do it on purpose!" Daniel said, pretending to be offended

"Anyway, I apologized to him a thousand times, but that's not the point-" Daniel continued "as I said Freddy invited me to the beach today to play soccer and meet his friends. Maybe you want to come with us?"

"Yeah! But before that I just want to unpack a little and get settled"

"We're leaving around 3 pm so I hope you'll make it by then"

"Daniel!" you heard your mom from another room "The tap is not working, go downstairs because I heard that there is a handyman somewhere who can fix it!"

"I'm coming!" Daniel yelled back and you went to get the rest of your stuff.

It was almost 3 pm and you were practically ready - you were just putting on your light make-up in front of the mirror.

In your bag you packed a towel, sunscreen, you already wore the two-piece swimsuit underneath your clothes (although you doubted you'd want to take off your clothes and walk around in your swimsuit), a few snacks, water and a walkman.

You looked in the mirror for the last time and straightened your T-shirt and joined Daniel and Freddie.

Daniel and Freddy were talking to each other and you followed them, lost yourself in your thoughts and gazed at the surroundings.

When you got there, Daniel immediately ran to play football with his new friends, and you went to lie further away from them so that they would not throw sand on your towel during the game.

Unfortunately, due to your inattention, you didn't notice that you bumped into someone.

"Ugh! Are you blind or what ?!" the blonde girl grunted

"I'm sorry, I-" the girl did not let you finish and pushed you with her shoulder as she walked away

You shrugged and was about to go on, but heard a voice on the side.

"It was "princess Ali" a female voice said

You turned your head and you saw a girl with black hair, tattoos on her hands, holding a large notebook in one hand and a pencil in the other.

"So far, people here seem sooooo nice and friendly" you said sarcastically "Nice tattoos by the way"

"Thank you, my name is Ashley," she said, putting down her pencil and holding her hand out to me

"My name is Y/N, nice to meet you" you shaked her hand and added "Would you mind if I join you? I don't know anybody here except my brother and his new friend and no one but them and you spoke to me without grunting or weirdly glaring at me" you said, laughing softly

Ashley smiled and replied, "You know I'm kind of an outsider here and people are usually afraid to say anything to me because I don't look like everyone else but if you want to sit down" she said patting the place on her left side

"What do you mean, you don't look like others and people are afraid of you?" you asked as you unfold your towel next to Ashley's

"I mean I don't look like a typical teenager" she said pointing to her tattoos "and how people like to say I belong to the "karate gang "

"Karate gang?" you asked surprised with a slight smile

"Interesting fact about this place - karate is very popular here" said Ashley "and we have two dojos" she continued "I belong to the Wild Roses and my sensei Agatha is the ex-wife of sensei Kreese who leads Cobra Kai. From the moment of their divorce, they both founded dojos that now compete at the All Valley tournament" She sighed " Well, I will not develop any more about it, but at the beginning I joined because of learning self-defense, but I was so caught up in it that I stayed there for the next 2 years. Plus Cobra kai accepts only boys so this is how I ended up in Wild Roses because they only accept girls here"

"Wow! I took a few lessons with my brother Daniel but then my mom couldn't afford and we had to quit," I said

Ashley smiled and said "If you don't mind, I'll finish my drawing and then we'll talk longer"

"Of course! Can I see what you draw?" Ashley nodded and moved her notebook with the drawing towards you.

The drawing showed various figures with strange shapes. The drawing was not finished yet, but it already looked impressive

"You are so talented!" you said

Ashley thanked you and went back to drawing and you turned on your Walkman and laid down on the towel.

About an hour later Ashley finished drawing and offered to take a walk on the beach. You talked about everything and nothing at the same time until it slowly got dark. Your brother and his newly met friends started to light a fire and it started to get cold you joined them.

Chapter 1 Beginning

As you sat in your car listening to the song eyes wihout a face you started thinking how much you miss your best friend.

So what if you saw her just before you left. So what if you both cried like the last idiots and you promised her that you would call as soon as you got to your new house.

You were very well aware of the fact that long distance friendship usually ends very quickly, because you call each other less and less every day until it ends with a big argument and a silent phone call forever.

"Same as with Sean, my ex-boyfriend" you thought

First you called each other several times a day, Sean would visit you whenever he had the opportunity, but after a while the phone stopped ringing and as soon as you called you heard new excuses from Sean:

"Babe, I can't talk now, because I'm going to a party with my friends, we'll talk tomorrow"

"Sweetheart, I just got back from training and I'm exhausted I'll call you as soon as I feel better"

You've been understanding for a very long time because you had many responsibilities on your own.

One day you had an idea to surprise Sean and visit him. You started to approach Sean's house where there were a lot of people in the yard and loud music coming from the house.

You walked into a house that was in a terrible condition. There were beer cans and plastic cups scattered everywhere, chip packets and who knows what else. Overcoming the obstacle course that was created by the rubbish on the floor, you went to the living room and what you saw there made you freeze in one place.

Your boyfriend was sitting on the couch and to his left was a girl who was sitting on his lap and was playing with his hair with one hand.

But no, that wasn't the worst.

The worst part was YOUR BOYFRIEND didn't do anything about it! He sat content and just talked to her as if nothing happened.

At this point, you didn't feel sad, you just started to get angry. This fucking dick ignored your calls first, and now when you wanted to surprise him you catch him with this girl!

And at that moment Sean must have felt your burning gaze upon him because he turned his head and his gaze met yours.

He already started opening his mouth to say something, but you were faster.

"You son of a bitch! How could you do this to me!" you shouted with all the strength you had.

"Y/N I-" Sean began to speak

"I don't want to hear that! I hate you!" You shouted and started pushing your way through the people to the exit.

You stormed out slamming the door hearing Sean's voice behind you.

"Y/N wait! I can explain it to you!"

"I don't care, I know what I saw!"

"Of course you don't care" Sean muttered, barely audible

"What did you say?!"

"You heard good! You ignore me, you don't call me, and now suddenly you show up and act like crazy!"

"How dare you say I'm not calling you! I called you practically every day, but you never had time! Today I came especially to surprise you and visit you, but I can see that you've found a better company!"

"What the fuck are you talking about?!"

"Oh don't play innocent! That girl was sticking to you and you didn't do anything about it! And you looked very pleased!" you added with a fake smile

"Maybe that's why I liked it because my girlfriend never comes, so eventually someone got interested in me" replied Sean.

It was typical drunk talking without much thought, but at that point you thought Sean was trying to make you jealous and with mock angelic calm you replied:

"Then, have fun with that bitch because you won't see me again"

You turned on your heel and ran to the bus stop.

When you got home and Daniel asked if you weren't supposed to come back tomorrow, you  started crying and locked yourself in the room. Sean called for the next few days but finally stopped because you never picked up.

"But my best friend is not like Sean" you thought

You felt someone touch your shoulder, chasing away your thoughts.
