hi everyone! i know i announced i would be coming back from hiatus however long ago, but i figured now that i am feeling a little better, i would come back and explain. long story short: i had a surgery! i know, my luck is the worst. i won’t bore you with details because they’re unnecessary, but there have been a few complications and i had to go to the hospital for a while. overall i’m okay and i have another appointment tomorrow to check in with some stuff, but that’s why i have been taking to resting. i meant it when i said i wanted to come back, but i have been mobilebound because until recently i wasn’t even able to lift up my laptop. ik. it sucked.

anyways. thanks for sticking around, even with my sporadic activity. mwah mwah much love from me to u

I hope you like them. ❞ Handing him a bag, Plum took a few steps back to give him space. Inside the bag was handmade sweets the dancer spent a lot of time making to look presentable.   ❟

today is.... not inigo’s strong suit, if one were to put it mildly... he’s not entirely sure what he’s done to deserve to be so coldly rejected by just about every fair maiden in camp, and he hasn’t any intention to go out into town and make his heartbreak worse.  (  which is potentially an even worse outcome, considering he’s been sighing so loudly and sulking about camp, probably just becoming an annoyance to the rest of the army.  )

it seems he’s already given up hope on finding a blossoming romance by the time plum approaches him. he flickers his gaze over and raises a brow when he hears his name called, expression painfully neutral. ❛  oh ?  plum... what can i do for you ?  ❜  inigo straightens his posture, curiously tilts his head to the side.

... what happens next might just be the very last thing he’s expecting. inigo’s eyes widen when the bag is handed to him, and after a while of staring in his dumbfounded amazement, he wordlessly accepts the offer. he opens it, peers inside, and immediately his solemn features from earlier come alive with his excitement.

❛  is this--?!  plum, surely you should know better than to get a lad’s hopes up like this !  they look absolutely scrumptious !  ❜  inigo takes a few steps closer, closes the distance between them.  ❛  say... what are your plans for today ?  lonely ?  i’m simply dying to get a cup of tea together... whaddya say ?  ❜

Only to allow his hidden hand to be shown, a simple bouquet of wild flowers & roses- placing it in the mercenarys' arms. ' I love you. Happy valentine's day. ♡ ' ❟

he’s used to kaden’s less than subtle advances, as much as it flusters him when he purrs so gently and pulls him in by the waist. laslow isn’t at all proud at how he practically melts at the kiss on his cheek. he’s only a heartbeat away from accusing his fiance of being practically insatiable when the bouquet is brought into his arms, and suddenly laslow’s face is brightened to a brilliant scarlet colour at the gesture, like he’s never been courted before in his life. there’s a moment where he feels like his heart might just burst out of his chest when he looks to the flowers.

❛  my, these are gorgeous !  ❜  he gives a slow exhale in his amazement, takes one of the wild flowers between his thumb and index finger and raises it to hold the petals next to kaden’s face.  ❛  i think i am particularly fond of this one, though... it’s the same hue of your fur... though not nearly as luxurious, i’m sure. ❜ 

laslow laughs gently, and now he can’t resist but to lean in and meet kaden’s lips with his own. the kiss lingers a little longer than usual, as if it pains laslow to pull away.  ❛  i love you, too. always.  ❜

he isn’t expecting the warmth from another’s embrace, caught off guard when ward’s arms hug tight around his waist and leans in to whisper at his ear. laslow can’t help the little shiver that goes racing down his spine when he feels the kiss pressed to his neck, his nerves coming out in a soft, airy laughter when a second kiss trails against his skin.  ❛  milord must be feeling extra generous today, to be letting me spend the day with my beloved... how did you ever manage to catch him in such a good mood ?  ❜  

(  it’s probably better this way for xander, anyways, for laslow to take a quiet day off with ward rather than causing more trouble in the nearby town again.  )

❛  gods, now look what you’ve done !  i feel like a blushing maiden right now.  ❜  he turns around in the embrace, reaches up to toss his arms around ward’s neck and gives a thoughtful hum. laslow presses a gentle kiss to ward’s mouth before his next proposal, in hopes of sweetening the deal:  ❛  i hear the gardens are lovely this time of year... why don’t we go take a little romantic stroll together ?  just you and me.  ❜
