Name: A Galaxy Next Door
Rating 4.3/5
Can it be watched casually: yes
A Galaxy Next Door is a romance anime about a young star princess who goes out on her own for the first time from her home island. She leaves to pursue both her freedom, and her love of drawing manga. She eventually becomes the love interest's art assistant, and they fall in love after. This anime was definitely a cute one, the fantasy is not so in your face, and a lot of the themes throughout the series were very sweet. It does touch a on loss and grief a little, but it also touches on learning to accept help, learning what love is, and more. Though I thought it was very good, I think the ending was a little... off? The whole series kind of leads up to a conflict with her parents, as her mother doesn't want her to be away from the island, and disapproves of the relationship. And then they agree to give her another year away from the island... and then theres a festival episode and that's it. There's not really any more talk about the whole extra year thing, just a festival episode where she says she wants to stand on her own two feet and propose to her boyfriend. I do think the whole plot with her being a star princess was interesting, though the expansion on that felt a little lacking in my opinion.

Name: Uzaki-chan wants to hang out!
Rating: 3.7/5
Can it be watched casually: yes, but you might miss some visual bits/gags
This anime is about two friends and previous schoolmates who are oblivious to their feelings, and everyone around them wants them to get together. The main cast actively act to push the two characters together. I will say, I was honestly not going to finish the first episode. Uzaki is a very persistent and frustrating character, and the innuendo gags and everything were a little much. And I cannot tell you how much I hate the cat that pops up in almost every episode looking shocked. That being said, I feel the series gets better as you watch more. Everything starts to make a little more sense, and I got used to Uzaki's antics. I also liked that everyone around them was gunning for Uzaki and Sakurai to be together, and I liked the characters overall. However, I genuinely had to skip ahead a few seconds some times because I get bad second-hand embarrassment, and at times it was just too much to handle with the zoom in on boons, innuendo gags, and more. And after two whole seasons of people pushing them to be together, and getting you to want them to be together, they don't end up together at the end! I was gonna rate this a 4, but what they did was awful. They set the whole series and last episode up for them to get together, but they decide Sakurai is too nervous at the very end and the episode ends. So I had to drop the score down a little.

This series is good for you if you like comedy and slice of life anime. Unless you get bad second hand embarrassment. I wouldn't quite say it's a romance anime. If you're looking for a series with a nicely wrapped up conclusion, don't get yourself invested though.

Do you think it would have been cool if Atsushi's white tiger aged with him as he grew up

Name: Yotsuiro Biyori
Rating: 3.9/5
Can it be watched casually: yes and no. It's an easy anime to watch, and you don't need to be super invested in it. However, it is not dubbed in English is it's hard to watch without fully paying attention.
Yotsuiro Biyori is definitely a comforting, feel-good anime. There's 12 episodes, and it doesn't feel too long or too short in my opinion. The series follows a group of 4 adult friends who work at one of the group's old-school restaurant. It focuses on both the issues of the patrons and the group of friends. It has lots of talk of making different foods and sweets, which is why I mostly watched it while I was eating something! It doesn't get too far into super heavy topics, most of the heaviness comes from grief, aging, and a divide between two brothers. Sometimes, it does feel a little lacking plot wise, and the full divide between the brothers is never flshes out fully, but it is still a sweet series to watch.

If you need something easy to watch that also leaves you feeling satisfied, Yotsuiro Biyori is definitely one for you. There's no comedy or fantasy to is, it's just a simple slice of life anime with prevalent themes of food and growing up.

Name: My Little Monster
Rating: 4.1/5
Can it be watched casually: yes
My Little Monster is definitely a good series to watch casually. It's a sweet little slice of life romance about two high school students - one who's studious and serious, and the other who has trouble fitting in and solving issues without his fists. Shizuku is a little frustrating sometimes with her understanding of how to relate to others and inability to feel her feelings, but I think it makes sense for her character and it's relatable for me. Personally, I think Haru is a sweet, wild character. He doesn't follow the stereotypical "anger issues" character, and he has his heart in the right place. The background cast is also endearing and interesting as well. I think my favorite of the background cast is Natsume. I think the idea of a character who is very pretty and endearing finding it hard to make friends aside from the online world a fun idea. I also like the addition of her blog being shown from time to time.

This anime is definitely a good one to watch for someone who wants a short series that they don't have to fully pay attention to. This is for someone who likes sweet, silly, slice of life type anime. Although it definitely has some funny moments, I'm not sure I'd say it's a comedy.
