Realised how many of my wiped projects were Kay which pisses me off because I haven't given her enough love lately, then when I do my projects get wiped

All I have left of said projects:

I'm lucky with the last one, all I have to do with that is the mirror cracks, background and some lighting, but with the rest I only have the sketch OR I have to start from scratch, which was the majority. I had so many projects of her why did they have to get wiped I even had two refs partially done ;-;

had to rep my boys with a redraw of their final scene from the anime!

(also wrote some sappy things under the cut, in honor of takahashi today 🕊)

i can't really explain how much of a positive force yugioh has been on my life. ever since my first watch in high school, it's brought me closer to the most important people in my life, and continues to forge my deepest connections both IRL and online.

and of course that extends to rex and weevil! it's crazy to think that two overlooked comic reliefs would become so incredibly dear to me. finding myself in them has helped and inspired me more than i'll ever know, it's no exaggeration for me to consider them family. like i said before in 2023, "even the smallest of [takahashi's] creations could touch the hearts of many", and i continue to feel that every day.

so much joy, comfort, and accomplishment in my life is thanks to takahashi and his stories of friendship, trust, and light. my (and so many others') love for this series is what brought him the greatest joy, and that joy still shines from wherever he may be. i wish him nothing but peace, today and forever. ❤️
