please practice speaking to yourself in a gentle mental voice. many of us, especially those raised by overly critical caregivers, have developed the habit of speaking unkindly to ourselves in our own heads. this is yet another instance of learned behavior that has to be purposely unlearnt. a good way to start is to monitor your thoughts and the judgments you pass on yourself, and practice rewording them in more positive, supportive language. practice speaking to yourself as if to a child who needs love and kindness. because you do. you do need those things.

in a world as jumbled and harsh as this, you deserve at least to cradle yourself in your own gentle hands. you deserve people who treat you gently. and one of those people needs to be you.

I have this idea that Az takes Gwyn either into the city of Velaris or any other city in Prythian. And they find a mini book shop and they find a newly released book by Sellyn Drake *limited edition and signed copy* SCORE. Turns out, Drake hasn't published a book in decades (as told by Az, because he was stalking reasearching more about all of her series)

Az: She hasn't published a book in decades

Gwyn playing back to what he'd said: You read smut?

Az unable to keep the truth hidden from her: Nesta has left one or two of Drakes's novels lying around in the House (Along with dozens of other smutty novels)

Az: Don't tell anyone alright? Or I'll never hear the end of it

Gwyn grinning mischievously up at him: We wouldn't want ot bruise your reputation, now would we Shadowsinger?

Az chuckles nervously:

Gwyn: Alright, it'll be our little secret.

Fireflies

Post-ACOSF. Gwynriel. WIP.

Current Word Count: 33,215

Synopsis: They were not stars at all, but fireflies. Hundreds of them. He watched as more and more winked into existence. Watched as, one by one, they drifted towards Gwyn, circling and pulsing to a melody all of their own. Gwyn stretched out her arms, eyes alight with wonder. A myriad of constellations formed and reformed with her at their centre.

It was the most beautiful thing Azriel had ever seen.

AN: I have a full outline for this nestled happily on my computer - I’m predicting over forty chapters at this point, but we shall see! The crazy thing is, the scene in the synopsis hasn’t even been written yet, but it was the spark that started this whole thing and I CANNOT WAIT to finally reach it. If you love Gwynriel, and slow-burn friends-to-soulmates lovers (and I really do mean slow-burn), then have a cheeky look over on AO3!
