Media and techniques
The aim for my project was to make a game like killing floor 2 that also had an object you have to go to then I changed it to just do a weapon wheel that you can also switch weapons in that category like you can switch between 4 different pistol, shotgun, assault rifle and spesial. I chose to just do the weapons wheel because I was doing more work on it than the map for the game. I wanted to make a big map but it was taking too long and I was doing more work with the weapon wheel so I just fell on the map and continued on the weapons wheel. My first idea was to make a select screen before the game starts so you choose what weapons you want, then switch to go with the weapon wheel so that you can switch weapons in a category. I chose to design the weapon wheel from the weapons wheel in GTa 5 because in GTA it has a weapon wheel that also has a similar wheel that I wanted to use. I learned that games use pie menus a lot in different games and some UI are special and some UI are not a lot so you can see the gameplay more. The research I got to see a lot of different UI and how they look and how the game displays their weapons. Some are on the pie menu or some scroll a long or they don't show anything and it just appears.
Purpose / theme / concept
Originally I wanted to make a hoard shooter survival game similar to Killing Floor or Left 4 Dead but as I got to work creating the weapon system and its UI was more challenging then I anticipated. This was fine though as I was happy to focus on developing this system as I found it interesting and it challenged me enough to learn a lot of new skills such as data management when using the different weapon types and their ammo and magazines are tracked independently and used correctly, UI design and implementation as well as importing and using third party meshes effectively where I am able switch them and play their different animations correctly. This led me down a very functional route where I was focused on getting the logic of it all working and did not focus on the art or visuals at all in the end. This system does in some way fit my proposal as it is something I would have needed when creating what I originally set out to do and it would be suitable system to have working in such a game.
Outcome
Was the outcome successful? Yes I got a working weapon wheel when you press tab the wheel shows up and it highlights the section that the mouse is over and when you press Q or E it will switch to the other 4 weapons in that category and the guns reload and stop firing when the mag is empty. But one of the thing what weren’t successful was adding animations when you fighter or reload some work but not all of them sometime the one that do work just stop working for not reason  
Conclusion
I think the outcome of the weapon wheel is that it lets you switch weapons and switch them for different weapons. You can clearly see what weapon you switch to when it is highlighted. What did I learn? I learned how to switch different items with a skeletal mesh so I can switch weapon categories. What I need to do in the future is learn how to get the animations to work. The outcome would be better if when you reload it plays an animation or when you fire you see the chamber move back in the animation.

Gun category switch

The video above show the category switch. This category switch let you switch through different gun in that category like pistol or shotguns and other. When the Radial Menu is in uses go to one of the category and press E or Q and you will flick though the other 4 guns that are in the wheel.

This is a pack that I buys to help me get weapons for my game then look for weapons on the internet last time I did that the weapons there to small or in parts with this pack I add all ready weapons in it plus it has some animations I can us with each weapons

Follow this tutorial I was able to create the UI in the pictures above.
what do I think about this menu I very good it weren’t hard to make the template took a while to make and that about it the other problem was the size of the template I didn’t size it propyl so it didn’t fit until I make the hole thing smaller now to look great.
does this work well kind of it not perfect a bit leggy if you move to fast or the arrow unlinks with the curser other than at I can switch to the other guns i have add to the wheel.
could this be better yes it could have more slot to other items it could have a category switch in the slot so you can have multiple of the same category gun in the same slot.
what I would like to add or change to it, I would like to add image of the guns so you know that gun you are selecting.

the is my map so far I haven’t done much because the making of the building took a lot time. my plan is to make multiple floors on this map I got the first and second floor made already I'm just add stuff to them then I will work on the underground area and the third floor. with the underground area I don't know what I'm going to add to it yet but some think with a portal mayb.

ratchet and clank scroll wheel is like the one I'm using but with  ratchet and clank one they have a quick select or different pages with my one you have can just switch weapons on the category of weapons. for the second one that the one I like the most because I see that shape of a scroll wheel most of the time went I play game so I got use to it with the other I don’t hate them they look a bit weird because I never see them when playing game.

in gears of wars 1 they try to keep the UI small so you can experiences the games full so they made the UI that will disperser after short amount of time and they kept it small as well. you can see the picture above you can only see the player gun that is selected that would disperser soon so the screen would no UI
