âthat is definitely not the droid i am looking for.â the sanitation unit (which is what it seems to be, though poe could be wrong) knocks against his foot, and he moves, allowing the little guy safe passage to the other side of the room. âthere you go, little buddy.â the droid does not respond. âwait. do they not speak in binary here?â
Padme had been on her way back to the guardâs office, when she heard a familiar language that stopped her in her tracks. Walking around a corner to see someone knelt in front of a ship android.  âSadly no... I havenât met a droid on this ship that speaks binary.  I donât think whoever programed them knew such a language existed.â

â this chocolate is simply divine. â elijah muses after setting his cup down on the small table. he wasnât much for being too festive, but his love of chocolate was something he could never ignore.  â have you ever tried adding a touch of cinnamon sprinkle to your cocoa? â
âNever thought of that.â Diana mused as reached out and took the cinnamon from the side of the cocoa station and dashing a sprinkle across her dark chocolate drink.  âBut Iâm always up for trying new things.â Diana added taking a small sip before a smile formed on her lips.  âIt is delicious, thank you for the suggestion.âÂ

@thecambriastartersâ ( marc spector & open! )
it wasnât that marc hated the winter or anything - he was used to it enough growing up in chicago. it just wasnât his favorite, to say the least. his feelings on the holidayâs were complicated for reasons he wouldnât bring himself to dwell on and could push down well enough, but he just didnât like to be cold. âwasnât space cold enough before we went introducing fake snow to it?â he mused, hands shoving into his pockets and shoes crunching down on the faux white powder. âi think iâm going to take up residence by the fire pit, personally.â
Liara chuckled at the others statement, âI canât argue that point.â She nodded, âI do think it is quite strange to introduce a baron season into a ship... Space travel is usually baron enough as is.â She commented, âThough I am curious to experience more human customs like this roasted sâmore creation.â Liara was lucky enough to be an alien who could easily consume a human equivalent diet. Several of her crewmates were not as lucky, she didnât take it for granted. Â

||      IT FEELS COLDER,   AND SOMETHING ABOUT IT    has mary jane feeling â happy. it doesnât make sense, of course  â  the ship is manually regulated, which means itâs just colder on the ship because someone made it colder, but if she pretends hard enough, itâs real. it isnât so bad. mary janeâs adjusting, here. and the winter - themed aprons are super cute.   â  good morning  !  â   chipper thing, when she wants to be. pros of having worked some sort of customer service job for nearly her entire life.    â  whatâll it be  ?  itâs a hot chocolate stand, but i can slip some coffee inside on the DL.  â
Padme had been a bit too excited to try this creation of hot chocolate. They didnât have an equivalent back home as far as she could remember.  â What type of Hot Chocolate do you recommend. Iâve never had this before, so Iâm open to ideas. â  Winter season was quite different depending on the planet, she couldnât help but remember the first time Anakin told her about snow.  He described it like a child who had just seen their first hologram. Â

( @thecambriastartersâ ) đ„ DEAN WINCHESTER & ANYONE !
đ„ ( location ) the pond, the gardens, the cambria one
đ„ - he stared at the frozen over pond with some trepidation as he wondered how quickly heâd bust his ass the moment he got on that ice - and if he was too old to do it. still, this was one of the first holidays heâd had where he was in one place and he didnât have to hunt down some pagan human-eating monster. itâs the little things. feeling someone approach, dean grinned as he held out a hand, âjust a fair warning, i can and will fall on my face and if anyone laughs iâm taking you down with me!â he half-joked as he still stood there staring at the pond like it was his mortal enemy. âor maybe i can just start building snowmen? yeah, snowmen - more my speed, whoâs with me?â
Liara had come to investigate the frozen lake. She had seen on holovids of how humans would gather around these as some sort of romantic ritual. She listened to the human in front of her and couldnât help but chuckle.  âIâm sorry, but I doubt Iâd be any more graceful with blades on my feet.â She knew many humans back home believed their wasnât much an Asari couldnât do.  âIâm not quite acquainted with human customs.  Do you make a man out of snow? Sounds like a challenge.âÂ

tali'zorah vas normandy & liara t'soni in the gardens
âRannoch means walled garden in Khelish.â Tali pronounced the name of her peopleâs home world deliberately, trying to get past the translators so she didnât end up saying walled garden twice in a row. Thatâd be a bit redundant. It usually worked with the translator units on the Normandy, so she hoped she didnât sound silly here. âOur skin carried the seeds that grew into desert grass. It wonât be like that again right away, though. Maybe ever.â And right now she couldnât reach out and touch a flower without crushing it. Her homeland was far, the Quarians who knew how far along in their resettlement of the planet. âYou probably knew that already- but, I guess Iâm saying⊠I want to find something here that will help everyone rebuild. Which I guess sort of makes this like a Pilgrimage part two. Which makes me even gladder youâre here, I was in the first place, but now itâs almost⊠Circular. Like a story.â There were certain ways Tali felt like sheâd grown up with Liara. Not in a known her all her life sort of way, but in that theyâd both fought and suffered and learned from that same awkward young adult place theyâd been to the powerful assured people they were now alongside each other. Quarians didnât have siblings by nature of the crowding on the flotilla, but if Tali had ever imagined a sister, it would be Liara. âDoes that make any sense? Are you learning a lot here, in the archives?â
@lcstinthestars
Liara listened to her friend, she often felt empathy for the Quarians. She couldnât imagine the pain sheâd fell knowing she had lost Thessia and there was a small chance theyâd ever make it home safely again.  âPerhaps there is technology aboard this ship that can help with re-assimilation to your planet.â Liara offered, âMaybe the Research and Science division could help find a way for you to jumpstart your collective immune systems.â Back home re-colonization was reliant on their efforts against the final surge of Reapers. Liara hated not knowing how it ended, not knowing if her friends got to live their dreams. If Shepard and his ground squad had made it home safely. It was a lot of unknowns that she hoped to get answers too before returning home.  âIâm glad to be with you too Tali.â She smiled placing her hand on her friends covered shoulder.  âIâm learning quite a bit, but sadly not much about our home.â She wouldnât admit it to any of her crew, but a part of her didnât want to know if they succeeded or failed. She wanted to cling a bit to the naivety that they were all alive and well back home. Â

Closed Starter for Jason ( @arrvw) & Koriandâr Where: The Ice Skating PondÂ
Kory had never been so nervous when it came to Jason. It often felt like as easy as breathing when she was around him. It was different now, even if she didnât want to admit it. She wanted to get it right. Her mess of orange curls were contained into two puff ball buns on top of her head. She had spent too long deciding on what to wear, wanting their first date to be a bit memorable. She picked up a scarf and gloves in her signature purple color from the kiosk where she picked up her skates.  She sat on a bench, lacing her skates up with a flash of memories to her Titan days. Back when Cyborg and Dick decided to teach the others like her how to skate. She looked up with a smile as she heard someone approach.  âJay.â She smiled happily, her eyes connecting with hers and felt her heart skip a small beat.  âI grabbed skates in your size and favorite color.â She motioned to the black set next to her.  âI got here a little early.â She teased herself.
She couldnât hide her excitement, especially not from someone who knew her as well as Jason did. She had fallen for her best friend a long time ago, it was unintentional. She didnât plan it, but it happened slowly. She found herself getting lost in his smiles, wanting to linger a bit too long in their hugs. She found any excuse to visit when they were separated. Her heart knew long before her head was willing to accept it.  âNow Iâm extremely rusty, please do not judge me.â She added as she moved to stand, her knees shaking a bit as she supported herself against the wall. Looking him over for what felt like the first time all over again. Â

âSuper cool.â Cass sometimes wished they had some sort of meta ability, but they were also highly confident in their fighting skills at it was. Powers seemed like they could only be helpful, but she knew she wasnât at all useless. âThat would make sense. But I donât know what for. That planet we stopped at seemed peaceful. Just spooky. So is something baf happening somewhere?â
âMaybe we will find out at this Christmas Party.. he said he will be joining us at the festivities.â Kory admitted, âMaybe he finally got enough of us on board, he can initiate whatever plan he has in his mind.â Kory tapped her painted nails against the table.  âWhat if heâs not even a he.. he could be a shapeshifter like Jïżœïżœonn.âÂ

He hadnât felt so nervous in a while , and he knew it was because Diana was a friend. Bruce wasnât fond of admitting his shortcomings , but he had grown up in a mansion , raised by a butler who would not let him in the kitchen often. And if there was one thing Bruce knew for a fact , it was that he did not want to anger Alfred. Heâd done it before , and he was wise enough now to not be on the receiving end of that ire.
His hand had raised to knock when he heard her voice , and it didnât surprise him as much as it should have. Diana had a way of doing that. When he stepped inside , he offered a nod before he slipped his shoes off , then glanced around the quarters she had been given. He could tell it was Dianaâs just by looking around. â So ⊠I apologize , in advance , â he said , walking over to her. â This is not my strong suit. â
Diana had done the best to make her small apartment a home since waking. She wasnât foolish to try to risk the lives of the humans on board by trying to fly out of it. She also wouldnât risk her own safety by trying an unapproved space walk. She had a few artifacts from home with her when she woke.  âDonât apologize, you canât be good at everything Bruce.â She teased, taking his hand and guiding him toward the cutting board.  âI need these potatoes cubed.. Iâm sure your batarang/knives skills are transferable.â She moved back to the stove adding some salt to the water.  âThe important part is to ask questions, just know their is no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to preparing food.. rather you feel silly then create something that would be otherwise-- inedible or even toxic.â She added watching him carefully as she moved back toward the cutting board to watch over his shoulder.

âso where you from?â johnny has a smoothie in one hand and his phone in the other, though his attention actually is on kory, because itâs hard to ignore someone who just kicked your ass so thoroughly at sparring. also, he likes her vibe. what can he say. âi mean, space, i know, but.â he waved the hand holding the phone vaguely. âspace is space.â as if that meant anything. whatever, she knew what he meant. or what he was getting at. probably.
âTamaran.â Kory stated simply, âIt is about 26 lightyears away from earth in my reality..â Kory didnât have the fondest memories of her home anymore, if she could even call it that. Tamaran under her sisters control was as close to human hell as sheâd like to ever get again.  âWhat about you where are you from on earth? Or... OR are you a secret Alien?â She teased with a lot of doubt in her words that he could be anything other then human.

Tea was more Cassâ thing than coffee, and luckily the cafe on the observation deck had plenty. It was never going to be as good as what Alfred made, and for now they were just cupping the mug in their hands and staring down at the way the cream suffused through the dark liquid and trying to stop herself from moping about the rest of her family not being here. The woman had been in their awareness since she walked in, but it wasnât until she spoke that Cassâ eyes flicked over. âNot botheringâŠâ She said quietly, before offering a kind little smile. âItâs a lot to get used to.â Living on the streets unable to speak hadnât given them the best introduction to everything society held; they could understand feeling like a fish out of water trying to learn many things at once. âItâs strong coffee, with foam. Too bitter for me.â
The other offered a small comfort to Helaena.  âIt is nice to know others have struggled.â She picked at the top of her nail bed, âMost of my family has seemed to just fit in, like a puzzle piece..â As usual Helaena was the awkward jaded piece that never felt like it quite belonged.  âBitter might just be what I need... I thought about trying every possible cup--- wasnât quite sure though if that would be recommended. I just donât know my own taste..â She had never really been allowed to have a say in her life, not even when it came to her meals. She didnât realize how many choices sheâd be able to make in a single day.

đȘ - leia felt as instantly awkward as she had the moment she had reached out to padme in the first place. this wasnât on padme and leia understood that - she just⊠needed a comfort, needed someone to lean on for just a moment instead of being the one thatâs always leaned on. it was selfish but⊠she felt she was allowed to indulge this once. âitâs fine, iâm sorry for waking you - i just⊠i need to talk some things out and i need an impartial mind. or as impartial as we can get. itâs about ben, my son and han, my husband. something else other than what happens that we talked about. is it⊠a bad time?â
âIt is never a bad time to call.â Padme admitted. She would do anything for either of her children, even lose sleep if it meant they had an ear to listen too. âWe can talk over the phone or you can come over and I can make some tea.â Padme offered, leaving the choice up to the comfort of her daughter. It wasnât Padmeâs place to push her past her comfort zone, the phone call was enough of a step in the right direction for Padme to feel sated. Â

the cold action oriented eyes of tom cruise stared down whatever lurked to the right of the movieâs cover; jason could not remember how the movie had gotten into the pile. it was, as far as he knew, a romantic comedy. âthat is tom cruise,â he said nonsensically, before lapsing into silence for a few beats. âuh, yeah, itâs not really a doâ actually, letâs just watch it. youâll see. you know keith david? keith davidâs fucking great.â
âTom Cruise.. shall be our pallet cleanser.. Movie for you. Movie for me.â Kory added plopping the Thing into the movie player and flopping down next to Jason fidgeting with the remote in her hand.  âHe was in Armageddon right? That movie we watched when I visited you in Gotham?â She questioned with a bit of fondness to the memory. She wasnât the biggest fan of Gotham, she didnât quite understand it as a whole.. but it brought her some of the most important people in her life. That made her love Gotham on a small level because without that city, sheâd have never met Jason, Dick or any of the bat fam.

clark returned the hug. it broke naturally, and he stood back, taking in the sight of his comrade. âitâs a very strange situation. weâre apparently in the future, although given the jump to another universe iâm not certain it can be considered the future â it isnât our future, at any rate.â he smiled ruefully. âsemantics, i know. it doesnât⊠it doesnât seem, so far, as if anything nefarious is going on. but itâs so strange. and.â he hadnât told bruce, not yet, and the words stuck in his throat even now, but his powers were not functioning as they usually did. he would tell diana later, he decided. âi mentioned iâd been looking through the archives, for parallels. there are some universes similar to ours. some not so much.â he shrugged. âiâm not sure what it means. or if it means anything at all.â
âSo trapped in an alternate future... not the strangest thing to happen to us.â Diana admitted she let the thought linger for a long moment. A future that wasnât their own, in a reality that wasnât their own.  âCould this be some ploy to change our collective futures.. maybe alter the multi earths on a level we could not comprehend.â She thought aloud. Her lips pursing side to side in thought.  âNothing unfamiliar there, perhaps we can find some common ground with our shared captives. See if they have any idea on why we would all be brought to this one singular point in time.â
