this fandom actually cant not be racist about the black main character. they actively like the worst takes about him so much. they LOVE love love them they will slurp every one of them up with a big spoon. they dont care if the take flips black and white or if its unsupported by the show or even if it blatantly contradicts or undermines character and story. they simultaneously want the worst things to happen to him and also for him to wholly and eternally be beholden as the agent of those things.

that trial happened and it literally doesnt matter lol his characterization or nothing his character experienced matter to them.

I thought it was just about what louis says. They keep saying "hes an unreliable narrator" to explain why they engage with the story like nothing he says matters (while they pull quote him to suit whatever narrative theyre into). but there is no difference. its everything. its just an excuse; there is no reason

ok the finale interviews r saying lestat and armand were more passive and contradictory about their motivations/actions for some internal struggle/realization/journey we didnt see on screen.

so basically this show needed to have made everyone (except louis and santiago) eviler for the s2 finale, and actually doing something they mean, since they couldn't pull off all that at all and we just got aftershow answers
