I don't usually post personal business but rn idc

Okay this is a long story.

My grandmother asked me to move in with her back in 2022 so me my husband and son moved in. My aunt was mad basically took my GMA to court to try and deem her incapacitated and lost because my gmas lawyer gave her a physical evaluation proving she could make her own decisions.

We were left alone for a while then my GMA ended up in the hospital I thought she wasn't gonna make it so I called her daughter. She proceeds later to have the police and adult services investigate me claiming I stole money again nothing happened cause we never stole a anything.

Also I'd like to point out I was my grandmothers durable power of attorney. Anyways my GMA ended up coming home and going back to rehab not long after cause she had bad health problems.

Long story short my GMA wanted nothing to do with her daughter after she tried to take her to court and she also changed her will the first time she changed her will she wanted everything sold then a while later she decided she wanted me to have the house and left everything else aside house and property to her daughter and the grand kids.

She ended up passing away in June of this year and the day we tell my aunt about getting passing away she started in on I'm getting a lawyer to contest the will because the no contest clause doesn't apply to next of kin in Michigan. My grandmother named me the executor of her will and gave me all rights to sell any and all property and the house was survivorship deeded to me so it's not even in the will anymore and still my aunt is trying to contest it thinking she's.gonna somehow get the house.

My question is is there any chance she could do it? My lawyer has stated most the time probate won't contest wills but I have bad anxiety and am worried she's gonna somehow get up kicked from the house and btw I'm not fighting on anything I have even told her family they can have what was left to them and they are still trying to contest it acting like I took everything when all I got was the house and property.

okay but seriously. i feel like we don't talk about the implications of daryl being good with kids enough beyond "oh gruff man good with child hot". like. he was horribly abused by his dad (and merle to an extent) and was this angry loner for so long but as soon as he got away from that and was given a safe environment his kindness consistently showed through. and he is good with kids, yes, but it stems from the knowledge of how being treated like shit affects people. his body language and the way he talks to kids, from carl to judith to lydia to laurent in the spin-off, shows such compassion. and most importantly, he's honest with these kids. he treats them like people.

The moment he knew he wanted to marry you was on a random day in the woods. He watched your back as you finished off the last walker nearby and crouched to grab the bag off its back. You were tough and beautiful and, even while dirty and wearing walker blood, he knew you were the one for him.

On every run after that moment, he’d secretly scour every nearby jewellery store or home he could, to find a pretty enough ring for you. Even a couple of wedding bands if he was lucky enough for you to say yes.

After he found the rings he would spend a few days, maybe even weeks, gathering up the courage to do it. When he had a moment to himself he’d twirl the shiny silver ring in his fingers, imagining it on your finger, imagining the look on your face when he presented it to you.

He’d second-guess himself for a while, until eventually, on a run with you where a walker, much taller and bigger than you, collapses on you, his heart would pound horribly in his chest. And it’s that moment he realises he can’t waste any more time worrying about it.

This is when he tells Carol about his plan. She’s surprised but elated and asks how long he’d been planning it. He tells her the truth, weeks. He was scared but he could have lost you today.

The next night, after you’d recovered and you were lying in bed together, looking at the stars out the window. He pulls the ring out of his pocket, hands clammy, heart pounding, head full of anxiety.

“Hey.” He grumbles, trying to cover his nerves. He’s holding the ring in his hand, the other around your shoulders. He goes to say those 4 little words but they get stuck in his throat.

Your eyes light up and you whisper “yes.” Holding your hand out for the ring. He breathes a sigh of relief, a grin spreading across his face.

He’s not one for the dramatic, getting down on one knee, at least not now. There was no way you were gonna be able to have a big ceremony or anything but it didn’t matter anyway.

You kissed him deeply and when you pulled away, whispered. “For someone who claims not to be romantic, you pick a pretty romantic night to do it.”
