Personal blurb about this below!
I'm chronically ill,
so I headcanon Spamton as chronically ill too. This is for a myriad of reasons-- overexposure to viral and unsafe conditions, incredible amounts of physical and mental stress, and god knows what else, ontop of the many mental hurdles he deals with daily. The total transformation of being someone just like anyone else and then the circumstances of your life completely warp you in all aspects— Spamton embodies that. The adjustment period of being in such an ill state in Cyber City and being wildly misunderstood will follow the rest of his life of recovery.
Recently I had a treatment that put me out for a few days, and the buildup towards it + the aftermath was more brutal than I'm used to. It reminded me of our mortality and how trapped we can feel being at the mercy of our own medical system and declining health.
Glad I can have this lil puppet to inject those frustrations on. Take care of yourselves!
