Crowfeather’s trial is just him realizing how bad of a father he is and that to actually have a good relationship with his son he actually has to communicate with him and his ex wife. This, miraculously, makes breezepelt Not Evil anymore even though he was previously willing to kill a pregnant woman AND a blind priestnun (who is also his half brother) over allegations that they were related. Also he tried to kill his own brother during the great battle, but somehow that one is ok because he saved his life from the stoats afterwards so its really a net negative interaction with lionblaze. I do appreciate that jayfeather never forgives him though, hater till the end <3. At least we got some sweet sweet nightcloud characterization and an apology (that leafpool never gets from anyone). From what i remember warrior cats misogyny pit them against one another and painted out nightcloud to be some vindictive spiteful cruel woman who turned breezepelt against crowfeather who got a pass for being a bad father and husband, and thankfully the book actually touched on that and made crowfeather realize how much of it was on him and that he has to put in the effort for the people he cares about. It was also cute that in the audiobook, young crowfeather sounds very similar to jayfeather’s voice and they’re both grumpy which crowf acknowledges.

Warrior Cats Genetics: Bluekin Part 1
Requested by: @tilemontgomery
Moonflower: Longhaired silver classic tabby with medium white-spotting and yellow eyes. Stormtail: Solid dark blue with blue-green eyes. Bluestar: Solid blue with blue-green eyes. Snowfur: Longhaired blue point van with blue eyes. Thistleclaw: Longhaired blue classic tabby with amber eyes. (If you want to keep his "spiky" fur description, Selkirk seems a decent match) Whitestorm: Medium-haired solid white (high white-spotting) with yellow eyes. Oakheart: Solid cinnamon with amber eyes. Stonefur: Pale blue with blue-green eyes. Mistyfoot: Medium-haired blue sepia point with low white-spotting and blue eyes. Mosskit: Blue point bicolor with blue eyes.
Images under the cut. Not perfect matches, but they give a nice general idea. All photos found on @.felinefractious's blog. Photo credits in brackets under picture. Disclaimer that some of these are rare colors that would probably not be found in random feral cats, but my goal was to keep as close to canon descriptions as possible, so I'm choosing to use any possible colors. I will go more into the thought process behind the decisions in another post.
